When I was cheated on years ago it fucked me down to my core. I couldn't stop feeling that dragging feeling that every interaction with another person was going to lead to another betrayal. I was consumed by the primal drive to protect myself and my entire world view was tainted by that trauma. I finally came back to myself but I still have glimpses of the way it feels to be possessed by jealousy and paranoia. Meg captures that emotion so well - the tendency for one to spiral
One word: Amazing, she's intense in her videos as she is in live performance, that girl is haunted by something. Each songs are reflecting some inner suffering, or struggling. She's simply true, we don't see a lot of this these days.

Yeah. Been listening since I was 15. Meg is just jaw droppingly talented, and even more evidently so, in her live performances. She performed this song, and others, live for the Tiny Desk Concert and it was unbelievable. She can tap into so many different vocal ranges on command, and this song displays that so well.

Take Me to the Disco is one of the greatest albums I've ever heard from beginning to end. Daughter in the Choir and Sorry are also exceptionally great in their own right. Hope you enjoy it all!

However again, with the camera on you, people watching you, she did damn good at bringing that emotion through for the video. I agree, I think she would be a great actress, I think she has what it takes. She looks like she can get her mind in the right state to play out her part well.

I don't know how big Meg is in the States, but none of the people I talk to here in Britain have even heard of her, let alone listened to her music; that's a shame from the point of view that I wish her every success, but on the other hand I like that she's my little-known and not-so-guilty pleasure. I was worried that this album would fail to live up to her previous work - I needn't have troubled myself. This track and video is Meg doing what she does so wonderfully well …. dark, intense - no one does crazy like Ms Myers! Love her voice - a unique and talented artist, and rather pretty too … WHY ISN'T SHE MASSIVE?!!

She doesn't fight her inner demons, she lets them out for a free run. Perfectly described the ugliness of jealousy that takes over and just nags at you from the inside. I've always been like that too, feeling intense, uncontrollable emotions. Meg's music helps me a lot to just let them go.

I have NO idea how I stumbled onto this song, but I have chills up and down my spine. The intensity in the song and her performance are just awe-inspiring. I'm floored, I love this so much.

This song hits different. Maybe because I suffer from abandonment issues, jealousy, obsession, and the true horror of what you think you really can do. Meg has all this in just the first shot of her face. I know that look so well. And I love how she overcomes it all by effectively flipping off the world. Limo, walking, dancing all alone after the bar scene. She doesn't need anyone. But makes it clear her sexuality is raw and will take the right man - even giving him the permission to tell her what to do. Insanely deep to me.
