I have a thought towards Ivar the boneless. He is undoubtedly an icon for the legacy of vikings. He is an interesting character as shown in the great series of Vikings but amongst all the brothers he is the one that's filled with hate the most, especially towards lagertha. The reason for his hate towards her is also very genuine as she assassinated his mother aslaug. All the brothers were angry towards lagertha for that reason but like I said Ivar was the one who hated and ached to kill her the most. But has he forgotten the fact that he killed his own brother Sigurd? But has he forgotten that his brothers forgave a murder who killed his own brother(Sigurd) in cold blood out of sheer anger? And it is ridiculously absurd in the part of the writer and director of the series to have not mentioned the brothers to nudge Ivar's memory from that act he's done towards their own blood brother! Maybe his hate towards lagertha would've been not as much if he has realised that he did the same towards his brothers but they chose to forgive him rather than looking down and hating on him, least trying to kill him. That's my thoughts, if you don't agree with me kindly ignore my comment and continue having a good day! 😊
Ivar has never been taught to control his anger. He already killed a neighbor’s child with an axe when he was 4 then went on to kill his own brother in the same way in a fit of anger . His mother neglected all the other brothers and fixated only on Ivar and her lover Horbard . When Ubbe and Hviserk almost died in the frozen lake she didn’t give a flying FuK and Siggy drowned trying to save Auslag’s kids . Did Aslaug forget that she actually has 4 sons and not just the 1 ?. She coddled lvar and turned him into an entitled little so and so who called his own mother “ stupid” , the only reason he’s alive is because she saved him from the wolves and they both use that to guilt trip each other ..
I agree with your thoughts!. But Ivar in historical records Was far more amazing!... He was so crippled and severely handicapped to the point that two soldiers would literally carry him into battle on a shield and he would roll around on the ground and kill people. But in real life after the great heathen army and they killed King Ayla I know I didn't spell that right but after Ivar got revenge for his father's death he gave control of the he that wore me to another guy I forget his name but it starts with a G. And they proceeded to wreak havoc and fought king Alfred. The show was awesome and I am I the only one that loves FLOKI!?!?!
Look at the Reaction of hvitserk when Ivar gives Ubbe a mead shower 😂 You can see what Hes thinking " oh my fucking god Ivar! Not again! Calm the fuck down!" 😂😂
Well hvistserk joining Ivar's side made also no sense because Aslaug didnt even love Hvisterk. And Ubbe treated Hvitserk with way more respect than Ivar. Bjorn saved Halfdan's life and didnt have the same ambitions of conquering shit like his brother so why would he join him?
@@787lud He stayed with Ivar because Hvitserk never wanted peace with the Saxons he just wanted to fight and raid and Ubbe humiliating himself and Hvitserk caused him to betray him and stay with Ivar
I love lagertha but she chose to leave kattegat and therefore forfeit her right to claim the throne as queen, she had no right to kill Aslaug other then her feeling entitled to the throne just because she was Ragnar's first wife. She is the reason the brothers picked sides against each other.
Am I the only one who thinks that if Lagertha let them fight it out right here she would have won, like maybe She would have died, but there’s no way Bjorn would have let their side lose?!
While ivar was a great tactician he wasnt(at least in this series) the grand hero all of you are making him out to be. He had no loyalty to his brothers, only contempt. Ivar was filled with an uncontrollable bloodlust, presumably because of his handicap, that caused the unnecessary deaths of thousands. Oh and Bjorn would have slaughtered Ivar in open combat. Bjorn Ironside was a famous as Ivar and Ragnar. He explored and conquered farther than any other Viking of that age. He had the warrior heart like his father and brother Ivar, but he was also smart and had a wisdom Ivar never obtained.
Kattegat is a body of water and the land this is meant to take place in is as flat as a pancake. History Channel's golden H really is to learning what McDonald's golden M is to gastronomy. Watch this for the entertainment value, nothing else. Oh, and you didn't show up armed at negotiations, even back then.

He didn't tell anyone about the settlement bc ppl would have started doubting and not trusting ragnar. He went to Paris at first because he was curious, then a second time bc of Rollo.
@@Skogarmaor110 No it’s because he didn’t want to have to return to England for revenge when he already had everything set up for Paris. But his name was Ivar den benlöse y’all think ben equal bone but it doesnt. If you translate straight across it does but in scandinavian languages ben means leg so the correct translation is actually Ivar the missing legs as ben is leg and löse be something like something is missing. Therefor with all certainty he was crippled whether it was by birth or through accident or sickness later no one knows as far as i know.
I love Lagertha but she fucked up eeeeverything here sooo bad, first she does eeeevery posible thing to antagonize the highly emotional Ivar, without an angle. Then, "Not now", Yes now for fucks sake, he's angrey, make him attack, with Bjorn and Ubbe all of them Dies, and it's not your fault, cuz he attacked.
It would have been useless attacking like that. They would have just fought defensively and called for reinforcements. Then they would have an unorganized huge battle and both lose tons of men.
Maybe if Ivar killed himself first for killing Sigurd his bitch tears over his mommy would make sense. Sure Ivar, I’ll kill Lagertha, after you kill yourself for killing my brother.
Ivar was justified and the most fun to watch after Ragnar. Unique storyline.
Ivar killed his brother that is a family problem, but lagertha an outsider killed their mother that is not a family problem.
Looks like he quickly forgot about Sigurd
Ivar really became a tyrant
Lagatha slept with every single man in this story yet people want to save her 😂😂
When Ragnar died ivar is the most dangerous man of all Ragnar son ....best movies of all time🥰🥰
This is a tv show not a movie you imbecile.
Ivar is a clown from beginning to end, nothing intimidating about the character at all. Just a rapey malevolent cripple.
Look at the Reaction of hvitserk when Ivar gives Ubbe a mead shower 😂
You can see what Hes thinking " oh my fucking god Ivar! Not again! Calm the fuck down!" 😂😂
scene was HEAVY
Plot Armour is what kept Lagertha alive cuz logically she shouldn't be
Hello fellow sane person.
Ivar is most dangerous viking after ragnar
Ragnar wasn’t really dangerous as we thought
phenomenal acting
If it was the other way around that aslaug killed lagetha Bjorn would do the same thing Ivar is doing
Bjorn was a hypocrite and selfish. He was a good warrior and leader but he was a shitty person.
At 53 seconds it looks like Ivar put something on his brothers head
Bruhh 😂😂 that was so funny , how did u notice that ? 😅
one of if not the best cool scene ever in film
Who else agree's Halfdan's reason for betraying his brother made no sense?
Agreed going against his brother was moist
Well hvistserk joining Ivar's side made also no sense because Aslaug didnt even love Hvisterk. And Ubbe treated Hvitserk with way more respect than Ivar. Bjorn saved Halfdan's life and didnt have the same ambitions of conquering shit like his brother so why would he join him?
@@787lud He stayed with Ivar because Hvitserk never wanted peace with the Saxons he just wanted to fight and raid and Ubbe humiliating himself and Hvitserk caused him to betray him and stay with Ivar
Ivar is the best ! He was the beginning of changes in the World of the vikings
I love lagertha but she chose to leave kattegat and therefore forfeit her right to claim the throne as queen, she had no right to kill Aslaug other then her feeling entitled to the throne just because she was Ragnar's first wife. She is the reason the brothers picked sides against each other.
Oh my god the subtitles are so funny hahaha
Am I the only one who thinks that if Lagertha let them fight it out right here she would have won, like maybe She would have died, but there’s no way Bjorn would have let their side lose?!
So much wasted water. How rude.
well , not water ... beer .

I was so happy when Lagertha died. She was too cocky. And she killed Ivars mother with a spear from behind, like a coward.
Ivar mother surrender and told she can't fight even though . I was waiting for lagartha death .
It waz de will of the gots
Arrow
I felt bad for her in her final episodes
I feel where you're coming from, that lady did have it coming... She was trash lol
This weird coordinated flag dance thing was just- weird.. Awesome scene outside of the flag dance!
Those were spears
@@romanj5256 it was choreographed
@@romanj5256 in a dance studio.. Spears, with flags on them
While ivar was a great tactician he wasnt(at least in this series) the grand hero all of you are making him out to be.
*Probably would have saved a lot of lives if they had just duked it out right then and there*
Says a lot when you choose to side with your mothers murderer instead of your brother
this is a great scene ...
2:29 they should have just fought there. Björn side probably would have won
There she is, Queen Clap Cheeks!
"Flat as a pancake" Huh?
I can assure you he didn’t change his mind haha
Ivar did this purely to throw them off
He didn't change he's mind it was already made
He should have acted cool then attacked. Be strong when u are weak and be weak when u are strong
“Ragnar wanted new farm lands for his ppl” lol so why didn’t he go back to England when he heard about the destruction of the settlement. Instead raided Paris for glory and fame… then went back a second time lol Ubbe even went with him
He didn't tell anyone about the settlement bc ppl would have started doubting and not trusting ragnar. He went to Paris at first because he was curious, then a second time bc of Rollo.
@@Skogarmaor110 No it’s because he didn’t want to have to return to England for revenge when he already had everything set up for Paris. He cared more about fame and glory than avenging his own people, and everyone else that heard about the settlement wouldn’t have blamed Ragnar if he was transparent about it, they hated him later because it was kept secret for 10 years or so
The Great Bjron Ironside 🔥
2:30 if they just fought, bjorns side would win so easily. Why did lagertha stop them
There were bigger armies once they hear about it ivars army would win
What you think Ivar has already thought about it😂😂😂😂
I'm more impressed of the flag guys smooth transition into fighting stance
They choregraphed that for months
Who would've won this battle? Who would you see still standing? Or barley?
360p? seriosly? where did you upload this from...1997 Motorola?
Ericsson ;-) 🇸🇪
They would have settle the scores here
0:33 how come Ubbe did not slap him lol
he is eldest
If Ubbe slaped Ivar in this Moment IT will end in a massacare on this field without any winners. Ubbe knows that and He tries to be calm.
If Lagertha didnt kill aslaug Ivar wouldnt have to fight her in a civil war I mean Ivar never really wanted to be king he just wanted to avenge his mother agianst lagertha
Ivar was great Viking.
I’m I tripping to say that team Bjorn would of defeated team Ivar there? I don’t see him losing to anyone there in a 1 to 1 fight. I knew Harold and Hvitzerk were bad ass, but Lagertha, Ubbe and Halfdan could hold their own.
Bjorn was definitely better than anyone but hvitserk deletes ubbe and torvi and guthrum easily, harald gets everyone except bjorn and ubbe, bjorn only the hard one here
Everyone talks if Ivar was crippled or not. Id say the name is because he was crippled. The name boneless is y’all think is bone.
Does this show take place after or before Canute time
before u dummy
nick Jurai
I'm a troll. I'm supposed to try and aggrevate people.
And he didn’t kill her
not sure I get the flags thing.. vikings had a drill and march culture?
Fk lagertha
What show better Vikings or game of thrones??
Vikings
Vikings ⚔️
Ubba just salty at ivar cuz Ivar out alphad him
I love Lagertha but she fucked up eeeeverything here sooo bad, first she does eeeevery posible thing to antagonize the highly emotional Ivar, without an angle. Then, "Not now", Yes now for fucks sake, he's angrey, make him attack, with Bjorn and Ubbe all of them Dies, and it's not your fault, cuz he attacked.
If they would of attacked they would of killed Ivar easy
It would have been useless attacking like that. They would have just fought defensively and called for reinforcements. Then they would have an unorganized huge battle and both lose tons of men.
Another Lagertha L. Could’ve easily done battle right there and ended Ivar’s life
Maybe if Ivar killed himself first for killing Sigurd his bitch tears over his mommy would make sense.
Sure Ivar, I’ll kill Lagertha, after you kill yourself for killing my brother. Real simple, hold yourself accountable for killing my brother and I’ll hold Lagertha accountable for killing my mother. But you’re not going to do that are you Ivar?
hollywood vikings .........
A Do not like Ivar he is angry a can get that but his morther only loved Ivar sho he Did only get that love i am more on lagertha becouse i like here more and my favorit is Bjorn
whats with the weird flags or clothes on sticks WTF
It's to identify who is with who, outfits were the same so yk
Why to the cups sound plastic?
They’re hollow are they not?
Bjorn was the most stupiest in the movie,
if anything, ubbe is an hypocrit tbh more than anyone else in the show
Am I the only one that even after the show was over never cared for Ubbe?
Me too never found ubbe interesting.
He was a kind guy
Ivar is so annoying. The series went downhill after Ivar took over.
I never thought that, well maybe cuz the character ivar is just like me, except being boneless and killings. But in terms of principle i could relate more with ivar and couldn't care less for ubbe, ubbe's scenes were the most boring in viking.
Why did lagerthas accent get so cringy? She was terrible at acting old
Ivar sounds like a little girl, lol
Oh ivar sounded more manlier than you lol
@@dafook865 stop talking girl. if you dont think my statement was true.. then you are probably at a women testo-level.
Ivar needs some spanking. Spoilt brat. Very troublesome and disrespectful to his elders.😄... All because he wants attention a whole viking kingdom has to crumble. (Traits of a last born in the family) ..😳
Not your Problem i do watch the show. It wasnt aslaug place to rule. She was just a fling to ragnar and then became pregnant. Lagertha is the rightful queen.. Ivar could have returned back to kattegat and killed lagertha before bjorn's return and call it a day.
Anonymous Why Why everyone blames the woman if a man cheats his wife? Ragnar was not unaware that he was already married. Not a fan of Aslaugh, but I don't think she is the one to blame... and beyond all, Lagertha divorced Ragnar, she has not rightful claim to Kattegat. In my opinion Ivar is right.
and Lagertha already rejected to fight one to one with Ivar so...
lagertha kills his mother he wants 1 one 1with lagertha she refuses he wants revevge for his mother that was practicly slaughtered ( she was living and lagertha shot her on the back) but oo yeah he is spoiled... I guess if u were in his position u will be ok sharing food and mead with the killer of your mother...
I love how at 1:00 after Ivar pushes Ubbe in the back, Ubbe was like "TELL ME HE DIDN't DO THAT." Björn "Alright that's enough maybe I have to step in. I can't stand this family fiasco any longer."
Lagertha destroyed the brotherhood, out of jealousy and resentment of Ivar's mother.
Taking back what's belong to her is not jealousy. And Aslaug is not even a good mother to begin with.
@@birthluvsgyrth Lmfaooo tell that to ivar & hviserk

Its giving away someone your food and when that person is eating it you kill that person and take that food back saying it was yours all the time 😅.
