Check fuses on power supply, if not, look for burnt transistors, or popped electrolytic capacitors. If nothing burnt is visible, check the output pins for their respective voltages. If several pins don’t output, get rid of power supply.
Hello last night I tried transferring two VHS tapes to the PC but I noticed the VCR's clock didn't come on. I don't know if the fuse in the power strip died or if the VCR is old?

I don't have anything burnt. Where would one find the output pins on a Panasonic?

What about a Toshiba SD-3990 which work briefly and then quit all together?Is there more than one fuse for this unit?

I Think the fuse is fried. Try replacing it, and it should fix it
