Through the highs and lows, he's discovered a deeper connection to himself and those around him.
Join us as we dive into a heartfelt conversation with attorney Ken Duong, where Eric shares how his struggles turned into unexpected lessons. Buckle up-this is not just a story about business, but one about resilience, redemption, and finding purpose in the most unlikely places.

The video titled "He Opens a VIP Bar in Vietnam (GOES WRONG QUICKLY!!)" with the thumbnail "I Lost $200k in Vietnam" is a poor example of clickbait tactics. It’s better to be truly representative of the content you’re sharing rather than just playing to the algorithm and so-called "best practices." This was misleading, disingenuous, and ultimately a waste of time for those genuinely interested in the bar/entertainment/F&B industry in Vietnam.
Syntactically and semantically, both statements (title and thumbnail) are true according to the information in the video. However, when paired together, they create an ambiguity that misleads viewers. Pragmatically, they imply a direct connection between the bar failure and the $200k loss, which is not the case. The $200k loss was due to an investment in a stem cell business (mentioned at 40:31), which he still co-owns-not the VIP bar.
Your other videos are good and informative, from what I have seen so far, but now I will have to think twice going forward.

You do not get into business when you know nothing about the cultural aspect One can never dump US$500,000 into a business without knowing the real situation. A lot of people think they can make money with US$500,000. Who wins, the local. Casino can go broke also. What he has to do now is try to rent the place out to some foreigners/local and get back some cash. Better than nothing in return. I do not even dare to invest in the US or UK or Europe as that is not my area.

@13691john I agree especially the opening it seems jumpy and I assume really bad editing. It is odd he would say what they have him saying at the beginning. Even saying he invested $500 (USD) - I assumed it must have been $500,000 but after listening to it a second time and even with subtitles it says $500.
One thing I noticed they are mixing DJI mic and Rode mics - that may cause sound quality issues - but not the editing issues.

And she made more money than me but she has no mood to left me for another richer guy. So, a lesson learned, please be careful when you want to married a bar girl. I never invest outside America. Bought investment house in San Jose 220K, now over 1M. My house in San Diego, bought 450K , now over 1M. Even if you are lazy to think, and If you invested $100 in the S&P 500 at the beginning of 2014, you would have about $364.37 at the end of 2024, assuming you reinvested all dividends. This is a return on investment of 264.37%, or 13.22% per year. If you invest 200K in SP500 in 2014, now you should have 728, 740 now.

Decent program. 2 people seem to be decent. The man that's interviewed is a good businessman I understand is positive mindset because I have it.. I got 25 years experience in the Asian community in USA Chicago and Illinois and most of my adult life with International people. I sure like to help him.. when I help people it helps me with the problems I have that are caused by other people.. especially my baby mothers I have 2 in Vn. One Life could I don't let nobody get into my brain. I don't like anarchist. I have to avoid people that I love so much because they're anarchist. I can't stand people who look at the past and talk to ragatory. We live today. we have to plan for tomorrow. You got a business? It's all the same crap.. Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday you're going to profit money. ∆ hire a manager, give a good commission and part ownership. Get a security system. Hire somebody to oversee everything. Modern technology the video and audio and everything's in the computer. To her to steal bringing things out the back door or putting money in your pocket when you operate the cash register. I like this guy and feel so sorry for him.. stress.. I had a many times in my life.. I just deal with it and get stronger God's will he wants it to be that way what don't kill you make it stronger. If you could only understand who Sylvester Stallone is Donald Trump they're quite the same I love Robin Williams but he was abnormal I'm worried about this man don't become like Robin Williams. I used to be a liberal 100%. It doesn't work. People take your kindness for weakness. Al Capone would tell you.. brother you will get respect when you have a gun in your hand.. 👌 it's called fear.. 🫦 🫦 if you're trying to talk with sweet words and help people they're going to take advantage.. because no recourse.. too difficult to get police involved and go see the judge.. so sometimes you just got to punch somebody in their face and her tooth falls out. I'm not a fighter. But I did it a long time ago. They were bigger and stronger than me. The community respect you then.. then I could be charitable to people and create jobs I did it in the past. I'm 58 years old now back that I was in my 20s and 30s. √ if this man or other people have personal issues come talk to me.. and trust me I did a lot of suffering in my life.. sometimes that happens when you're a little bit too kind to the wrong people that are not going back to you. There's two types of people in the world there's users and abusers just givers and takers so please understand it. There's such a thing called equality. I hope I knew the formula we're all people would get along together and be helpful when somebody needs help.. God has to formula.. and perhaps some people have the formula.. I watched 80% of this program and I've got wrenched.. the business means a nice guy and had personal issues.. he's lacking in a lot of local small city America living styles and international experiences in USA and globally. √ I live in California Las Vegas a dozen times the land of the fruits and the nuts as California.. don't compare California at all. It is the fourth largest in the world doing business .. California should be an international country. I hate California. Even Las Vegas I hate. But I've been there a dozen times. please don't compare..He's trying to compare Japan to America and.asia and compar many other countries and compare America's wealthy areas with poor areas.. ) they seem to be kind of men, his mind is mixed up.. you better take it easy my brother from a different mother.! You better take a different approach, repeat after me my name's Chuck and I don't give a f*** my friend Bob and the late slim Terry told Bob to tell all people and definitely me not to worry about what the other people are doing.. brother from a different mother, You made your money.. enjoy your life. Go travel around like the guy from Minnesota he does food travel he lives in Saigon. Too bad I missed my appointment with him many years ago. I like him. He reminds me of the rap singer Eminem. He's the food channel version. Quote me on it .. I plan to do the same thing but God that wanted to happen that's why I was late for the appointment to network together. That was then that was a new day anything could happen in the future.. got his reasons. (By the way prenuptial agreements and get the surgery where we can't have children). Personally when you have children and you're in a bad relationship like me.. sometimes you have to be an eagle and fly away... Go get the money.. then guess what when you got the money everybody does what you say it's always been that way that's never going to change!. And always understand that's not your true friends for a good husband or a good wife. Vietnam saying no money no honey. It's a worldwide saying. And there's a couple other swear words it's a worldwide saying. Same same no different my brothers and sisters were reading this. May God be with you and the people that care about you.amen. √ Set up 1 last business with somebody good.. don't buy anything.. go travel.. you want to make more entrepreneurs.. okay fine.. pay them and make new friends and partners.. use your share and do the same thing but hire people to do it and he was online. #worldbetterbusinessorg #RobertDeNiro #ROBERTKENNEDY #robertgreco #businesscoach #investvietnam #FreeEnglishClass #esl #DonaldTrump #robertdowneyjr #sylvesterstallone #godblessamerican #godblessvietnam #fathersrights #childrensrights #expatrights
