- The word elegant and sports or dive watch usually don't go together. But with this Noblia from 1995 they make a perfect statement. This watch was engineered with the rating of a dive watch in an elegant thin case. The Citizen Noblia is definitely an amazing watch.
There was a time where I owned some very expensive watches. But, none of them had any stories to tell. So, I sold them all.
Now I have just a few watches - none of them terribly expensive - but they all have stories to tell. I even have a silly quartz 'toy' watch which is absolutely BEAUTIFUL - and even it has a fascinating story behind it!
I'm much happier with my watches today then when I primarily had expensive watches with nothing to say. Today, some of my silly watches actually bring tears to my eyes.
THAT is the TRUE power of a watch!!

For my grandpa's 25 year anniversary with the company he worked for they gave him a Noblia AX5004-51A. That was back in the late 90's. Looks very similar to your watch. It is a dress watch with a white face. I don't know if he ever wore it. I died in 2004 on his way to my high school graduation party. After he died my parents have had is sitting in their safe. I found out a couple years ago that they had kept the watch as it was specifically for me from my grandpa. I've been getting into watches over the past couple years. I knew his Noblia was not my style as I prefer dive watches. I finally brought it home with me tonight and have been doing some digging on the it. Not a lot of information out there. I'm glad I found your video because the watch forums from 2009 weren't providing much information. The bracelet is ugly as sin, but its really comfortable. I will eventually take it to get a new battery put in and see if it needs a service. I might wear it when I graduate from nursing school in May. Maybe with a new strap. Either way it's a cool little watch with a story that I intend on hanging on to.
That watch definitely has much more value to you than any other watch. And it will be tied to accomplishments but also beginnings and ends. It sounds like the perfect watch. Noblia are actually great watches!!
