When this song was first written and sung it spoke volumes of what people around the world were saying, "We don't want a war". As usual the politicians never listen but do what they want. This song that Bobby Darin penned and recorded in the sixties was then and still is now very profound. Nothing has changed, "We the people don't want a war". No matter the country you live in around the world the sentiment will always be the same, leaders of countries listen to the people. We love BOBBY D.

Great song. Just discovered it. Fantastic lyrics and uplifting but do these songs really change
the world? Maybe I'm getting old but I'm not sure they do and events, especially those in the Middle East at present make me wonder.
Just think how the Bush puppy Blair took our country into war in spite of so much opposition.
Blair was going to have his war in Iraq come hell or high water and boy o boy hell has followed!

macophile I see some sort of recent pictures of GW Bush , his Dad, and the English Prime Minister. Well, if memory serves me correctly, this song was made back during the Vietnam era. Well guess who was president back then, and I might add, got us in the war.
