Kevin Spacey did a great job in this very touching movie and used his own voice not dubbing Bobby's voice. To know what Bobby went through in his life health wise is one thing but seeing his struggles in the movie really showed his fans that above all else (other than family) his love for music and entertaining people was his life's work. Growing up I always had this strong admiration and attraction towards Bobby's courage, strength in his life and his music. He was my hero, larger than life, so when he passed I was totally devastated. Bobby taught me a huge lesson, never to give up no matter the odds, a lesson I still live by today, we all should. Bobby Darin is a awesome genius, master entertainer, the best ever bar no one. RIP BOBBY!!! Love and miss you forever !!!
well good acting by Kevin Spacey, but Bobby did better (he seemed calmer) and Kevin's body language is terrible with his constant hand-movements-and-slow-wobble-dance-moves.. haha.
Kevin Spacey addressed that stupid issue of "you are too old to play that role" at the very beginning of the picture in a very convincing and at the same time somewhat humorous way, so detractors who are always ready to critizice remember that you did nothing to bring us that 1-derful story. Mr Spacey did and was perfect in the role.

Does that mean we should not listen to his great compositions today? Salvador Dali allegedly smacked women around. Should we not look at his great paintings? General Patton smacked soldiers, allegedly on more that the one occasion that got him sidelined from command for a time. Does that mean he was not a great general? These are hard questions.

Kevin Spacey's singing in this movie was an excellent approximation of Darin but he was not quite as good as the original. His movements and dancing however was nowhere near as good as Darin's. Good movie.

Also, the happy ol' whiteman up in front of the black folks shtick lost whatever charm it may have had long ago. Plus, gay or straight, Democrat or Republican, Spacey is running from numerous sexual abuse allegations, including against a minor, so, nope, not a fan of that actor.
Fun fact... In stead of getting paid in cash Kevin Spacey agreed to do this movie if production sent the young boy who played Young bobby to his trailer for 30 minutes each day... But no idea what he was doing with him..
