    I love my other Zeiss glass... but the color shift, smear and blur at the edges of the frame are unacceptable and so my choice is the Voigtlander. I hope this helps someone out there!

    very interesting findings. could you possibly mention the m mount lenses that you adapted until now and have no smearing - colour shifting?

    Thanks for the Review. In case i plan to make some architecture pics. Which will you prefer, Nikon 14-30 or the Voigtländer 21mm 3.5?

    Thanks for sharing your findings. Since you mention the Zeiss 28mm ZM, does it suffer from edge colour shifts or smearing on the Z body?

      I can’t say for sure on the Z, but that lens generally works well on digital. Also as a general matter, 35 and over rangefinder lenses should be ok on digital. Hopefully someone can say definitely.

    Im not shooting with nikon anymore but this video gives me super good ideas for my Sony a7cr. I still have a z7ii and zf but will be selling them to go with he lighter Sony body. I agree with you about the Voigt 58mm f1.4, I adore that lens. but yeah I need lighter and more useful setup. I do backpack as well. Thanks for this video. what I have now is a7cr and 20-70 f4 gm lens. and it is by far the best setup ive found for hiking and covers everything. can focus close as well

    The z6 weighs 675g. Get a lighter camera.

    • @18yearsoldnot

      Understand your sentiment but ergonomics of z6 are unmatched. What’s the point in lighter cameras when you can’t hold them one handed without a strap?

    • @fthprodphoto-video5357
      @fthprodphoto-video5357 Год назад +1

      I agree with arrangearrange because weight seems to be the main issue for you and you shoot landcapes so a light apsc mirrorless Nikon would be way better for your hikes.
      You may Keep the Z6 and 21mm for other work.

    • @arrangearrange
      @arrangearrange Год назад

      @@18yearsoldnot there are always compromises - image quality versus size/weight versus cost versus lens speed versus ergonomics etc. I have a sigma FP with the grip and a Voigtlander 21mm f4 (with the color shading tool on the FP for color cast), that whole set up with adapter weighs about the same as just the z6, and a lot lot smaller than a z6 21/3.5 rig. Basically as tiny and light as you can get in FF. The CV v1 15mm is even lighter, and that’s my go to wide (again, with the color casting correction).

    • @18yearsoldnot
      @18yearsoldnot Год назад

      @@arrangearrange with a manual zoom lens, only one compact aps-c camera has a good enough evf for “zoom focus”. That is the Leica cl. Zoom focus is essential when you use dumb adaptors because the zone focus method is broken.

    • @arrangearrange
      @arrangearrange Год назад

      @@18yearsoldnot “manual zoom”?… The Leica cl is a great option but you’d need a much wider lens to get 21mm and honestly apsc crop of a 15mm or so is different than a full frame 21. A Leica cl also has no corrections for a 15mm lens…. Or does it? Do you have to now buy the much bulkier cv 15mm v3? You just blew the size factor you had going with the 21.
      The Leica cl is definitely NOT the “only” camera that will let you get proper focus shooting a slow, wide prime.
      Sony a7c + voigt 21/3.5 probably a much better option than a Leica CL if you actually want to use any 21mm lens at 21.
