I wonder if he has been to these countries. I'm in South East Asia now and I've Ben to most of these countries and I think he exaderates especially your first month's cost until you locate one of those less expensive apartments. He also forgets to mention the extreme pollution of Kathmandu, you will never see the mountains. Every morning they have to dust off everything a layer of smoke and dust dirt from the streets and anything left left outside. Then don't go look at the river it's raw sewage. Ask anyone who's been to Indonesia about the trash on the sides of the road.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! While I haven’t personally been to Indonesia or Nepal, I’ve spoken with many people who currently live and work there to provide the most accurate and up-to-date insights in our videos. Our goal is to highlight the positives of each country and share perspectives on places viewers might not have considered. Of course, every location has its challenges, but we prefer to focus on the opportunities and beauty each has to offer. Thanks for watching-we truly appreciate your input!
Good choices, but not all of these offee easy to get residemcy visas. Vietnam, for example, offers no residemcy visas, requiring frequent hops out of the country.
We always include that during a podcast on each country. Just look for our most recent interviews from whatever county you like and there is an abundance of info including healthcare!
Can you do a similar video for south America? I'm personally considering Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, and Columbia, but open to others. I'm interested in retirement residencies in 2 countries with opposite climates, to sail from the heat. Retiring to my cat on 01 JUN 30.
I am familiar with all of these countries. Uruguay and Chile are the two most expensive countries in South America. You won't save much or anything compared to the U.S. or western Europe. Argentina is probably ok, and there are likely good opportunities with the new President. Colombia is my favorite destination in South America; friendly people, different climate zones including some areas with some of the best climate in the world, inexpensive. Good connections to the rest of South America and the U.S.
@@ngsocal Check out our podcasts on Uruguay and I have one coming soon on Chile. You'll be surprised how affordable living there can be! Thank you for sharing!
@adventurefreaksss wife and I will also be leaving within the year. I cant believe I'll be living as a king. Our total SS is over $6G wouldn't have to touch our saving
Good list! There are similar videos touting countries like Portugal, Greece, Thailand, and Mexico ... but unfortunately these places are no longer cheap. One suggestion: even more affordable than Cambodia is nearby Laos.
For some strange reason, Africa still hasn’t made the list. Even though there are countries such as South Africa, Kenya, Zambia, Botswana and Namibia, are excellent fine choices.
You need to work on your audio. You either pound your table when you narrate or you need to speak into your mic differently. There’s any annoying noise when you speak making your vlog unwatchable.
Probably going to retire to Monaco. Looking at a permanent lease on the Presidential Suite at Hotel Monte Carlo. They have the biggest casino. I'll just do room service for most meals. I'll have my Social Security and about forty grand saved up.
I call Bullsh*t. One cannot live LAVISHLY, or like ROYALTY on of $1,50O per month in any of these countries. I know this to be factual as I have stayed in all these countries with the exception of Nepal. Remove the word LAVISHLY and then you may have an honest video. BTW, you might wish to look up the definition of a word before using it. So sick of these click bait, BS videos that make false claims and give people a false hope.
@@boink800 optimism and honesty are completely different things. I am tired of people lying and misleading others for $$$$. I guess you are ok with being lied to and mislead?
It's all relative. The lifestyle of a person living on $1500 per month in Vietnam will be lavish in comparison to their lifestyle in the U.S. under the same constraints.

In Vietnam it is very difficult to obtain a long-term visa...
What a beautiful and informative video Re. -Marc

Just slow travel

Great information and videos. Thank you. Happy New Year. Where are you calling home these days, or are you slow traveling?
I'm slow traveling near Washington DC:)
Nepal… amazing views and great Himalayan mountain trekking.
Too many yetis. They're big, they have an attitude, and they are everywhere.
Thank you
You can't live in Mexico now for that.its gotten very expensive now. We were shocked how much things have gone up. We're not going back

would be nice to include info about medical expenses/insurance - for some people might be an important factor for choosing one country over another

Retirement goals: living in a place where $1500 feels like a king's budget. This list gives real hope
There's plenty of places in the world where an income of $1500 will put you in the top 15 percent.
I'm sure you could do that on 300 usd
My BiG question is which of these countries have you lived in recently for at least a year?
Good list! There are similar videos touting countries like Portugal, Greece, Thailand, and Mexico ... but unfortunately these places are no longer cheap. One suggestion: even more affordable than Cambodia is nearby Laos.
Yea, we need to do a podcast on Laos. I've not covered that country yet, it just seems to be overlooked. Thanks for this!
I wouldn't want to have stroke in Laos.
Yup
"Lavishly and Like a King, on $1,500" is BS .. try "on a budget" ..
