- Stay tuned for the "how to" videos.
I initiated this project because I want to establish a better way to coach chamber music online.
We know its not yet possible to play together at the same time over the internet because of the differences in latency even with the best equipment and connection speeds. But it is possible to have an authentic chamber music experience, even remotely.
If we can layer recordings without sacrificing the ability to listen to the other parts, we can react to phrasing and do rubato together. There was a process for the creation of this video that I would like to share with students, professional musicians, and teachers in the interest of keeping the art of chamber music alive during the pandemic.
I am making a series of video tutorials for this purpose. Check in with this comment section again as I activate the following links.

Really amazing love the visual editing
I always wanted more sons. Finally got them. So beautiful.
Awesome!! Thank you for your wonderful music :)
Thanks for listening
How perfectly beautifully played by all. It’s hard to imagine creating it with all the cues from an imaginary Stef!!!👏👏👏
How sweet Lise. Thank you for watching.
Thanks for this Dr. Kartman! Your playing is such a pleasure to listen to. Hope you are well and staying safe!
Thanks for watching Byron. Nice to hear from you. Best wishes.
Fun stuff, Stef! Glad to hear you (all)!
Thanks Korine, you so nice.
Wow - great video. I haven't seen anything like this yet. I like the way part of the right music stand "disappears" in the overdub, and part of the left stand is invisible.. Nice job - can't wait to hear more.
Haha, those iPad stands violated the laws of the space/time continuum.
Great work! Looking forward to the "how to" videos.
Coming soon!
Outstanding!
Thank you so much for the kind words Jesus. I’m glad you enjoyed the video.
@@FlorestanDuo Very much indeed. I am coaching this work right now, and love it!
Fun piece to coach. I made the video to learn how to use Protools and video editing software so that I could teach my students to put together chamber music online. Then no one wanted to deal with all the tech, so I’m waiting until I can get back to live teaching.
@@FlorestanDuo You did an amazing job. Not only does it sound great, but looking at the other players (you!) at the right time was perfect!
Thanks again Jesus, you are very kind. I have to laugh about the interaction between the different me in the quartet. Since I had to memorize not just all of the parts, but where to look, it was tricky. I thought I had things right the first time, but when I put the video together, I realized I was looking at the empty chair instead of where my imaginary face was. It was a strange surprise to see how odd it looked when I looked in the wrong place. Haha.

First-class editing! I had to stop and listen to how good the cello playing was, too distracted!
Hi Paul, Thanks for watching. Honored that you enjoyed it. Best Wishes to you and family.
