Great episode, I first heard of this movie when Noah Antwiler did his "Spoony Experiment" episode on "Robowar". I have to say for a near shot for shot remake of James Cameron's "Aliens", it looks really entertaining. Also had no idea this also had the same writers as "Troll 2" (aka "Golbin").
Thinking of screening SD in October so thanks for making this video, Ed! We'll make sure to point people in this direction during the lead-up (with spoiler alerts, of course). 😉
@@NeonHarbor "On Earth" is interesting only in that it looks like what you'd get if The Descent had been made three decades early, and Italy decided to cash in on that.
I love how these knockoffs have the freedom to do crossovers that major franchises would probably never or at least rarely do. I just hope out there are even greater ripoffs. I mean, the world needs vampire mutant turtles sent through time to bump off Billy the Kid, only to run into a recently unfrozen Prince Valiant and his new pal, Big Foot...the martian robot. But then I guess you've heard that one so many times your sick of it by now.
