All great games, but he having triple discontinuity at the turn he played teferi was hilarious (I think e didn't have enough mana to rush through the emblem? Or just working around stomp/rending volley?

Knowing the Player it was most likely just being used as a hard Counterspell on the opponent's turn to ensure there wasn't anything going on.
Sadly Rending Volley can't hit walkers, so if anything it'd be Fry for can't be countered or Lithomantic Barrage in general. I think it was just them going for the life total kill instead though.
