LMC carpeting online. I just looked. A Tahoe is around $250. Plus another $30+ if you do a layer of insulation, which I would do. I'm going to be doing one soon, and will do insulation, and probably just buy a high quality roll and do the cut out templates to save a few hundred bucks, b/c a Suburban is $450 for the precut OEM carpet.
Excellent job. I'm getting a old 'burb with disgusting carpeting and will be doing the same so I appreciate the tutorial. I think I'll improve upon your method by adding a layer of sound/temperature insulation and a higher quality carpeting, and still keeping the budget well below the $450 it would cost thru LMC carpeting for OEM cut replacements.
Sound and temp insolation is a must it sucked compared to factory. And the horrible musty smell goes away. Gm still hasn’t fixed this on newer yukons they stink too
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS Question: Will a 6'x15' section of carpet be long enough, or do I need a full 16'. (I have a free piece of 6x15 high traffic gray carpet I would like to use but don't want to be short.) Thanks.
Nothing. And I regretted that for sound purposes . But you have to be careful since you have to match the factory width perfectly for it to work. So try and save the factory insolation when you take out the old one. In my case it stank badly.
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS Thanks a lot bro been thinking about it for a while let me ask you the old stuff not good enough should I buy new i?nsulation how about dynomat?

Nice I was thinking about cleaning mine and painting it black, but for 184 I think I might buy a black carpet. Do you know if it’s both half’s for a yukon? Its not clear on the website. And thanks. I think it’s $339 for both half’s. And $200 for standard cab.
I see you are a GMC guy the Yukon looks beautiful love those trucks.
You did a good job Jose
Factory materials are very tough to replicate, especially with fit and finish. Definitely saves money though!
Damn it, now I reallllly want to do this to my 06 yukon xl
I would have considered heat and sound insolation if i did it again
That’s a nice truck and you did a good job
