Thanks for helpful video - a couple of things I don't think you say but are likely very useful to novices like me:
    1. DON'T remove the front bezel by mistake thinking it needs to come off to remove the rear cover. It is separate and shouldn't be removed. The rear cover can be removed on it's own.
    2. The bottom edge of Samsung screwless TVs does NOT have any plastic clips - so you DON'T need to run whatever tool you are using along this edge. My "screwless" design actually had one small screw on the bottom edge which needed to be removed. Obvs they used a screw rather than clips so you don't need to use a tool on this edge and thus avoid what I describe below.
I learnt the hard way as I used a plastic trim tool to remove the front bezel AND to prise the bottom edge of the back cover off - during one or both of these activities I prised against the bottom of the LED screen and ribbon cables (which are at the bottom) and cracked the edge of the screen and poss damaged the cables. Either way I turned a repairable TV Into one that's only good for the scrap heap !
I used the same trim tool to release the clips on the other 3 edges by carefully running it along under the rear cover and it worked fine. Just as shown in the video .
I'm guessing what I say is likely to also be true for other makes of TV where they have tried to go screwless - but I only have experience of Samsung.
I'm obvs very pissed at what I did - I was only trying to fix an intermittent connection issue on the coax aerial input connector - so thought I should post just in case it helps others.

These sets are a right pain and that's what worries me breaking someone's set trying to remove the back , only a couple of months ago I had a set just like you described and I could not get the back off and the front bezel was parting from the LCD panel , in the end I gave up and told the customer I was not prepared to risk breaking the screen .

@@michaeldranfield7140 Hi Michael - my comment is first time I've ever posted anything on youtube - so really good to see you noticed it ! I've been fixing (mainly mechanical) things for most of my life - I should have done better with this one but, as they say, "every day's a school day !"
Really ironic thing is the replacement Samsung TV has exactly the same fault - waggle the aerial and the picture goes (and comes back when "re-waggled") - when I got inside the tuning module of the TV I broke there was an inductor coil who's leg was hard up against the coax middle tag & it looked like the contact between the two parts had worn thru' the varnish on the leg - so I think it was an eminently fixable issue if not for the removing of the back ! It makes me so cross that manufacturers make fixing easy faults SOO difficult across so many products.

Keeping my 20 year old 52" Toshiba DLP a couple more years. Now you need a specialized tool to take a TV back off?? I have just had a more modern Samsung set in for repair and I cant get the back off , there is no service manual so I dont know how to remove it or if it needs some sort of tool, a new back is over £90 trade and been a super thin set I'm not going to try and lever anything in case I crack the screen so rather than do any damage I'm just going to send it back un repaired , the good old days when sets had 4 or 6 screws to remove the back are over, some plasmas can have 40-50 screws to remove to get the back off , all in the name of progress?
I rather think the Samsung thing is not to save money on screws , its more likely designed this was to just make people buy a new set .

@@michaeldranfield7140 Well, thank you for the heads up, seems like you became the unintended guinea pig here. Very discouraging & frustrating encounter I'm sure, however I think once word gets out how difficult or expensive to repair because of that, people will buy a different brand. I think Samsung forgot about social media .... and they also bricked their TV's without telling consumers. Hmmnn maybe LG or Sony is a better way to go. Samsung used to be a good product. My Toshiba & Olevia units still work great and they are over 20 years old. Guess that's why they are not in the TV business anymore - product was too good. 🤣 Pride & quality seem to be a product of the older generation. Sad. The other option would be to fix the TV & give it back without the back.... you really don't see it anyway and you'll get better ventilation so it runs cooler. 😂😂 Maybe this is retaliation against Right to Repair.
