Hey Brandon I have a mototec and I just ordered a 72v battery that will support 100a cont and a fardriver 72300 is there a direct bolt up motor that you would suggest for my setup. I’m having a hard time finding motor options for the mototec
Sounds like a perfect setup! Just use the stock motor and run it around 70 amps! There's nothing currently bolt in for the mototec other than the etm motor, but not worth it unless you blow the stock motor first.
Would you happen to know if most fardrivers are the same size I just ordered a bike named Soliel01 it has a stock 48v Fardriver installed I plan to swap out?
Honestly fardriver is a huge pain In The ass. Seems like they are always making new models and changing sizes. Normally the 72300 and 72220 are going to be the same and the 72340 (I think) 72450, and 72680 use the same bolt pattern just different thicknesses. What controller do you think it has and what controller are you looking to upgrade too?

Really just personal preference, lots love the fardriver especially having something plug and play ready to go with a physical 3 speed switch. Personally I run a flipksy but they are a bit more of a pain to wire and setup. Flipsky also doesn't have a physical 3 speed switch. Either way they both perform great!
Youll need to fabricate a motor mount for the fw11. But amorge makes a bombmoto samsung pack capable of 200 amps cont. And I'd say atleast a fardriver 72450.
@hectorflores4204 with an fw11 ypu should clear 50 no prob. I don't have any experience with them myself but the couple of guys who have swapped to that motor are getting over 60. The stock b1 motor already does 50 aswell.

The 72300 isn't really powerful enough for what you'd want with a 138. I will have some 72450 kits available soon. I sell them personally through messenger and email if your interested. Emxbrandon@gmail.com or Brandon ely on Facebook
Because spm motors will fling a magnet off the rotor and destroy it. You'll always have more rpm on the stand unloaded than you will actually riding it. And spinning it faster than it's designed is bad.

I believe the 260 is roughly the same size. I'm not sure I've never used anything lower than the 300.

You most likely have a brushed motor and need to upgrade to a brushless motor.
