After parboiling for 10 min, might the potatoes be soft enough to smash a little for extra crispiness after baking? Also, does anyone know how long to finish baking after adding the vegetables, and whether he turns the chicken right side up again first before the last part of the baking ?
For a even better tip parboil them with baking soda preportional to the lbs of potatoes used and they will be EVEN more crispier and absorb the juices from the bird better
Thank you for showing a great recipe/use for Brussels sprouts. They’re such an underrated vegetable. When I was a kid, in my family of five, my father and I were the only ones who ate them. And to this day, neither my sisters nor my mom will even cook them. They’re just fabulously delicious concentrated cabbages. And I LOVE cabbage!
Thats because modern Brussel Sprouts are a very different strain that tastes better and is much less bitter than the ones we grew in the 90s. They're literally not the same anymore.

For all the people saying they need a chicken rack, either make a tin foil snake or just butterfly/cut up the chicken and lay it flat on top, making the potatoes your rack. I do it all the time for some of the most spectacular chicken. Along with potatoes, beets and maybe even turnips and squash! 😋😋😋
