I came across your vid/channel since I’m looking at possible Osmo products and noticed you are in Hawaii. I’m on Maui so thought I’d subscribe to a fellow Hawaii, RUclipsr! Good luck bro and great video!
Having made a lot of videos, I think the action camera is probably best for most people, especially with kids. I've gone through my share of action cams over the years. I'm happy with the Insta360 Ace Pro. I miss the front screen, but like the flip up option. I'm still getting used to the Pocket 3. Not as rugged as an action cam, but nice image. Six cameras but each has a purpose (I tell myself) 😅 How is the close focusing distance on this camera?
@@HelloFromHawaii I agree. The stabilization and ease of use are hard to beat. I almost went with the ace pro, but I have the pocket 3, so I figured I’d stick with one ecosystem. The close focusing is still 40cm. Same as previous models. Also, don’t drop the pocket 3. It’s pretty fragile. I already had to warranty my first one after I dropped it traveling.
@@just_inhawaii I saw your latest video. I haven't dropped it yet. I'm keeping it in the case. Are you getting it repaired? Still under DJI Care, or whatever their program is called?
@@MrHombre the image looks a little cleaner at ISO 3200. Probably due to the upgraded processor. For me, that was worth it, in addition to the battery life and internal memory.
Very informative video! I have two questions. Hopefully you will respond. 1. To which GoPro model would you compare this camera and why. 2. I'm curious. Is there a specific reason why you changed from dji mic to hollyland mic on some parts of the video. Do you prefer one mic for indoors and the other one for outdoor voice recording?
@@adnotathome can’t really speak on GoPro as I haven’t had one since the hero3. I’ve seen other videos comparing the 13, but the low light is trash. As far as the mics, I use the DJI mic 2 with my action 5 and pocket 3, because I don’t have a mic 2 receiver for my Sony. Both are good mics. The mic 2 has 32 bit float recording, though. Thanks for watching.
Wait so it's advertised to have 4 hours of shooting but the battery is 20% after an hour of shooting? That's discouraging... But thanks for making this video!
@@bprabawabr I should have clarified that I ended up with an hour of footage. Maybe turning it on and off all day drained the battery faster. Not sure.
just pick up mine from the Pearl City Best Buy. excited to go out for a bike ride and test it out.

@@123.MikeCheck thanks! DJI has been on a roll with their products lately.

Right on waiting for mine to land, good vid
Was it a good upgrade? Or would you not recommend it?
Besides the battery and the internal memory, just image quality
