Never did have a cherish on singers growing up in the 70s, but did like Suzy . Always and will be more of a rockabilly fan, so Wanda Jackson was my favourite. Susie and Chris Norman did a couple of good songs while I was a teenager in the 70s, Stumbling in was and still is a favourite of mine.
This is really cute that Suzi Quatro was really on the Happy Days series in 1977. And she is really just 5 feet tall and she plays a mean bass guitar. Not sure if Ron Howard can really play the guitar so I would not be surprised if it was a playback with Suzi really playing the bass guitar. Glad our Russian comrades have more knowledge about these rare music artists and, like many of us Americans, long for the good old days when rock was innocent and melodic and just full of youthful energy. Glad to see a comment on another Suzi Quatro performance by the great Uriah Heep from Ukraine. I love Ukrainian Uriah Heep's music of Uriah Heep. I still have the red vinyl album NEW WAVE with the Russian bands from Leningrad by the names of Kino, Aquarium, Alisa, and Strange Games that was produced by Joanna Stingray in 1986. i liked suzi ever since i saw her band open for elo at the first concert i ever went to. it was one of the last concerts at kcmo's famed "cowtown" (1974). for some reason cops lined the halls. suzi closed with her rendition of of "all shook up" and elo closed with their rendition of "roll over beethoven." afterwards i went out and bought the albums these songs appeared on. i'll never forget it. thanx suzi for the great memory.
She grew up in suburban Detroit. Her older brother was a jazz musician and her father played the organ at Olympia Stadium where the Red Wings played - da da da da da CHARGE!!!
