I've been playing for over 50 years, and know what this kind of talent it really takes to put on a performance like this. He's standing there with a guitar, a mic, and pretty much nothing else. Chris is a once in a generation song writer/performer with a style all his own. It doesn't fit into any category completely, so when I tell people about him I say he's an Americana style artist. I think they get it once they hear him.
DieselBoat Man I'm with ya. Americana. Yeah he is Just a little more than the others Memphis Mr Stapleton to me . I'm listening to a lot lately . Gonna listen to more of him. No one to take the pressure off goin solo Lately listening to hall of famers early works in many genres
Style of his own is spot on brother this was my first song I’ve heard from him wayyy back and never looked back they barely play the poor guy on the radio as a walking legend
This is a great Stapleton song for this comment. I know you appreciate his vocal Talent and musicianship but are we all going to just ignore that this man is one of the most brilliant song writers in current music.. Just saying in case nobody is paying attention :) Just sit and think about this song what does it say? We had a great thing it went bad now all I do is listen to our song and think about you and what might have been and I also wonder what you are "listening to" is it the same thing? missing me? or have you moved on? or are you listening to something to try to help you forget? , just think about the brilliance encompassed in this simple lyric guys just saying for those that dont realize it.
He is a once in a lifetime talent. She gets it for sure. He vocals are unmatched and he writes 98% of his songs. And his guitar talent.....I mean WTF !!!
If you haven't figured it out yet he is a very good songwriter he is wrote several number one hits for country singers he says he was so scared to get on stage and nervous and his wife convinced him to get up there and sing he just wanted to write songs I bet he's glad he listened to his wife Morgan Stapleton is a very good singer in her own right
Fool me again is probably one of my favorites of his. It's back when he was younger and not quite as famous. Of course there's not much that he does that isn't amazing!! Great reaction by the way. Keep the Chris Stapleton reactions coming!!
Chris erases race, gender and genre! His concerts are a mix of everyone feeling all the same emotions at exactly the same time. You forget all your problems and all the trouble with the world we live in today!
“Whiskey and You”, the PBS Tiny Desk series. “Simple Song”, I think the CMA awards. “Barely Alive”, “Midnight Train to Memphis” on Saturday Night Live with Sturgill Simpson, “Fool Me Again”. That’s a few.
Greatest singer in Country/ Soul. To the lady owning this channel. Such a truly beautiful woman with an amazing personality. Keep on Grinding. 89,000 subscribers. You are Rolling
I dont know if you were into Prince, but a day after we lost Prince, Chris did a tribute, its a live performance, not a perfect video but I loved Prince and it was perfect.
Not sure if you did Death Row, broken Halos, he sings with his wife You Are My Sunshine, actually she sings it and he backs her up. It's his wife that things with him. Also his tribute to Prince
Have you ever listen to John Farnham? One of my favorites is him singing live with the Melbourne symphony orchestra the old Beatles song help which he totally changes up.
Fantastic Chris Stapleton reactions! Once I saw one I had to watch them all lol. If you want something different listen to The Deftones, “Digital Bath” and “Change”.
Thought u might want to know if u havnt heard Neil Peart of Rush (Mr. Magical drumb set) Past away on 01/07/2020 At 67 r.i.p. Think we can do another one of his drumb solos for his memory
If you do "Barely Alive", please do the Jompson Brothers version. It is still Chris Stapleton singing. The live version so often recommended is a trash recording from a cell phone. Audio is terrible. For a first time reaction, the Jompson Brothers version will be a better choice. YES, Chris is always better live, I agree.
Stapleton had a band for a short time called the "Jompson Brothers" They did a recording of "Barely Alive" It is much better than the live version floating around RUclips. The live version has terrible audio and lot's of crowd noise. Check it out, love to see your rfeaction.

Chris stapleton will go down as probably one of the biggest icons of music.
Style of his own is spot on brother this was my first song I’ve heard from him wayyy back and never looked back they barely play the poor guy on the radio as a walking legend

Once in a lifetime talent. Definitely. I think we are blessed to hear and witness this mans career. He is just damn good music.
He makes you feel his song...he puts you in his stories he makes you feel his pains and his joys
Whiskey and you is my favorite Chris Stapleton
The man is just unbelievable. I refuse to even think he could disappoint.
If you haven't figured it out yet he is a very good songwriter he is wrote several number one hits for country singers he says he was so scared to get on stage and nervous and his wife convinced him to get up there and sing he just wanted to write songs I bet he's glad he listened to his wife Morgan Stapleton is a very good singer in her own right
I like how he says "Thank You" at the end. No, sir... thank YOU!
Fool me again is probably one of my favorites of his. It's back when he was younger and not quite as famous. Of course there's not much that he does that isn't amazing!! Great reaction by the way. Keep the Chris Stapleton reactions coming!!
The smile the song puts on your face, is the reason I watch this. :)
Chris erases race, gender and genre! His concerts are a mix of everyone feeling all the same emotions at exactly the same time. You forget all your problems and all the trouble with the world we live in today!
Now you gotta do “Barely Alive” the live version. Might be his best.

Joe Bauers yep that’s one of his best
Chris Stapleton Broken Halos...you'll LOVE IT!
“Whiskey and You”, the PBS Tiny Desk series. “Simple Song”, I think the CMA awards. “Barely Alive”, “Midnight Train to Memphis” on Saturday Night Live with Sturgill Simpson, “Fool Me Again”. That’s a few.
I'll second Whiskey & you on Tiny desk, another simple yet "brilliant" song of Chris.
Watch him live, his wife Morgana is his back up singer. She had a beautiful voice.

Not sure if you did Death Row, broken Halos, he sings with his wife You Are My Sunshine, actually she sings it and he backs her up. It's his wife that things with him. Also his tribute to Prince
Listen to Steel Drivers "If It Hadn't Been for Love", it was when Chris was with his old band

Check out "Drink a beer". You can find Chris's recording of it. It's a song that he wrote and sang back-up on for Luke Brian. Bring tissues!
