My father bought and sold antiques in his retirement. Set up in Canton, Tx every first Monday. When he passed away, I was left with a three car garage FULL of stuff. As we were going through all the stuff, I set out a pallet that became the “ what the hell is that “ pile. Friends and acquaintances came by wanting to look in the shed (he wouldn’t let just anyone go in). So, I would allow them a peek if they could identify anything on the pile. One of the most surprising and perplexing items was a big ole rusted corn shucker like yours. Wish I hadn’t sold it but my husband wouldn’t let me keep everything. It was a year long adventure that ended with an estate sale company having three different sales. And I ended up with a few things that never sold and I just couldn’t throw away. One being a hand carved rake type thing which had a long handle with 4or 5 10/12 inch long sharp wooden tines mounted sideways at the end. I figured it was a pitch fork of some sort. I’ve still got it 20 yrs later in storage. At some point soon, I’ll donate it and several other items to the Spindletop Museum here in Beaumont.
Dear Mr. and Mrs. "Trades" I have to tell you how much we admire your Anne. She's always interesting which gives us ideas. Your daughter inspires and makes me tired. Our blessings to y'all. 😎
I absolutely love this young lady! Thank you April Wilkerson for leading me to her last year. Your videos never disappoint and i think I've watched them all.
It's amazing how you can just walk around the farm and can say and look at, and then go yep there is what I need. To an Alpaca it's home. Thanks Anne P. S. You are a very good mama ❤
Well happy day Anne! You sound thrilled to have these new-to-you fuzz buckets. You know what they say... Good things come to those who wait, as long as those who wait work like the devil while they wait. Which we all know you do to the extreme so glad to see some good things happening for you.👍🖖
hahaha maybe on camera, believe it or not, I'm an introvert. Being raised in a community setting though, I learned young how to "turn it on," but I usually need a long nap after.
great to see how you use all the resources you have available for your projects and minimize waste.Lumber prices are sky high right now, so your'e saving money.
Alpacas! So cool, I love the snuggle tooth one! Nice use of the pallets. We've made many a project with pallet wood. Just have to remove those twist shanked nails. Thank You for sharing days. Did one spit at you?!
It was really cool seeing your mom and dad. So hello Mom of all Trades and Dad of all Trades. You have raised a spectacular daughter but I am sure you already know this, but I wanted you to know others think the same way. Anne good luck with the addition to the farm and great way to us what you have. God bless you and your family like you have blessed us.
I grew up on a hobby farm as a kid and to this day my favourite sound is the frogs in your pond, can you please pause for a moment and listen to them for myself and everyone else thx 🙏
When moving large objects, I found it is easier to stand inside it. That will help to stabilize the structure as you walk around. It also helps you grip it as you can span a corner, instead of a side.
I just learned about you and your channel from a spot that Tennessee Crossroads did on you. I have to give you fair warning, seeing that one episode is going to make me a stalker on your channel now! You look to be an amazingly gifted person and I am eager to watch your adventures and hopefully you can teach this old dog some new tricks! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and some of your adventures! Cheers!
Very cool Anne. Great video. Enjoy your new furry freinds. I'm always impressed with the fact you work so hard, are willing to take on anything and enjoy the process of learning and getting into everything you do. Thanks for all you do....thanks for taking us along.
haha it seems that way sometimes, though with Lucy the rescue pig being the exception, everyone here still has to have a job. These little pacas will be helping us clean up the hillside with the goats, turning grass into fiber, and contributing some black gold to the compost pile ;)
I follow the link out of a Woodcraft catalog good job an excellent Craftsman from the dovetails to the rocking chair too A form wood buildings I decided to subscribe

That was great, I watched some of this build on IG, this seemed to go together fairly quickly, and the critters are taking to it, slowly but surely, another great project/build
Hey Anne! I just watched your interview on WWGOA. I think I’ve said it before but I’ll reiterate. You’re a super hero. I see the big school barn in the background. I can’t wait to see it finished!
Thanks for taking the time to watch Shane! I had the Hitachi too- used it on my tiny house build. It's a good one- but never make the mistake I did, putting the nail clip in backwards, haha! I know more about the insides of that tool at this point than the people who built it :P
Not sure if anyone else has mentioned it for pallets but there is a cool pallet busting tool that will save you a bunch of time and back ache lol. You’ll just kind of lose the first board 😁. It’s helped me so much and is about $80
I just found your channel and it’s great! I’m a first time home owner and your ideas are so helpful! We’re probably building your fence from your other video (the one with the solar lamps on it).
NIce work on the 'Paca Palace Anne. It took a minute to realize that those were frogs in the background as you got ready to move the shed frame. Were they loud! Hope they don't keep you up at night. Take care and my best to you, Adam and Mom and Pop of All Trades.
Thank you! haha yeah those peepers are deafening. Thankfully the house is a long way away from the pond so it's not that bad, but it is funny trying to carry on a conversation by the barn at night.
Aloha! Wow, very impressive quick build for your new farm family members. (I was cringing a bit seeing you work without gloves - especially when breaking down that pallet 😬 Your hands are precious) The Alpacas are beautiful! 🦙 PS - would love a quick video about the fencing you’ve put up and your opinion on what you consider best for your goats and alpacas. Thank you
Aloha! It's precisely because my hands are precious that I don't wear gloves a lot of the time, the loss of dexterity often leads to accidents. I'm also very cautious about using them with tools that spin for the same reason.
@@AnneofAllTrades Hi Anne. Thanks for reply. Very interesting to hear why you don’t wear gloves 🧤 I will give that some thought for my own work. PS - Tell your hubby the skies are sunny and blue back home here in Hawaii :)

Watching him spit at you was hysterical! I can't stop laughing! Animals are so funny! So are the ups and downs of making new friends!
Wow!!! That's So Cool!!! Thank You!!!! 😲🤔👍😎😃🌹
I'm glad you like it
I absolutely love this young lady! Thank you April Wilkerson for leading me to her last year. Your videos never disappoint and i think I've watched them all.
Wow, thank you! April's ok, I guess ;)
Alpacas yayyyy!
I have always admired the way you build using what is at hand. Your mind is filled with creation...
Thank you! Growing up without any money had a way of training me to view the scrap pile with very different eyes :)
Great to see you back again, I love the Alpacas

Lucky alpacas.
THIS was a fun one. ☝️
Glad you liked it buddy!
My favorite alpaca is the one with the pronounced snaggle tooth. They are so cute!
Haha George needs a little visit from the dentist and he'll be right as rain.
i love how you're just out there gettin' sh*t done!
That's the only way to do it!
OMG! How awesome are Alpacas!

Dear ms all trades, i think your scrap wood is better than my good wood. Good luck with the alpacas 🦙;-)
So you live in Canada then. LOL 😂
Haha I hear ya, though I'm extra blessed with great scrap because of the school build at the moment, I've always had a knack for finding good scraps.
Ever onward, Anne, ever onward. We may never arrive at a destination but the trip will always be worthwhile. Awesome, girl! FR
Absolutely agree! It's all about the journey!
Such fun to watch. Thanks
