Reminds me a lot of What Vecna did to Vox Machina. Matt Mercer is another DM that makes consequences a real threat with players that all but ignore them.

15:50 - Qillegg ad Khollar. 32:00 - I imagine it tastes like 1990's tofu. 1:19:55 - I guess you could say it's out of sync. 2:32:45 - You can see the gears turning in Tom's head after that description. 2:41:20 - People love to say "flying is OP!", but they don't think of the myriad drawbacks it also has. 2:58:55 - _Mage armor_ does work on touch, but this still doesn't work because you can only use one type of defense calculation; Aila would have to decide whether to use her Unarmored Defense AC or the _mage armor_ AC. _(Mage armor_ doesn't make your base AC 13, it makes your AC calculation 13 + Dex modifier.)
I miss the days back near episode 1-10 where people would timestamp literally everything that was funny, or sections of the session. And its nice to see a little of that noe
I know it’s part of the spell but it makes so much sense that Sentry- who doesn’t need to eat and probably doesn’t have tastebuds- makes delicious looking food but can’t replicate the taste.

Concentration only affects certain duration spells (it's specified in the spell) and only happens if the target is hit after casting the spell. The only exception is specifically holding your action to cast a spell as a reaction, such as an ambush or waiting for an enemy to move out of cover. I'm assuming the cone of cold wasn't a held action so no
The way turns are divvied up in 5e is way different to 2nd, so it's not possible to interrupt casting that way anymore. Actions are completed in full when declared, then the next action, so there is none of the old casting time in which to interrupt. Generally each character has Movement, Action, Bonus Action, and Reaction. Reaction is the only one that interrupts a turn, but it happens *after* the trigger and before the next action starts. In this case the enemy moved (Movement), Aila attacked (Reaction - Held Attack), then the enemy cast cone of cold (Action - Cast a Spell). Hope that makes sense for you.
The spell does not consume the diamond, but it at least stops characters from having it at first level; a damage type for any occasion is VERY strong. I also like the idea that the diamond is used as a prism, resulting in a rainbow of damage types.

I've been watching all the campaigns I saw uncharacted. Dead reckinon. Areoris. Lightfall. And decent.oh rogues gambit. And serent youtubers have names that sound like npc. Like night jaw. Metalnumbue or how ever its spelled. Mark could u use some of there names as NPCs with there ok I'm sure. It would be a nice thank u for there years of saport
I try not to harp on about rules corrections or forgetting stuff but for god's sake Katie the Aura is a bonus action to trigger each turn, it doesn't just happen. You can't add it onto a reaction attack for example. You got it right in the very early episodes, but not for a very long time now. While I'm here I might as well: The brutal critical dice does not double. Its an extra dice on top of the doubled attack dice. Two extra dice next level... which was what you've been using. Ok, I'm done for at least 20 episodes.
