This is the generation of young filmmakers you are going to see true skill because everyone is going to have availability to the tools. No more excuses...
OscaR1GSX What I was getting at is u dont need the best stuff anymore to showcase your skill and knowlage as a cinematographer when u can get such an incredible image out of a cell phone sitting in your pocket.
Just goes to show that any camera in the right hands can produce stunning footage; people obsess to much about wanting the latest, greatest gear but it is about a person's ability to produce their vision in a creative way.
your work shows that skill is everything u need, not the equipment, u inspire me again and again and want to learn more from u and try to follow yr footsteps. thnx
i see upcoming 6s n 6s+ unleashing casual movie making like mobiles have unleashed photography in past few years brilliant job done. It proves one more thing, the man holding a gadget matters alot more than the gadget itself.
Philip, I'm a professional musician who's into video as a hobby. I have to say, your editing and color correction is the one that seems the most organic to my eyes. Really enjoy watching these videos!
+bokeflo just FYI the iphone uses sony sensors. It's not like apple developed the camera sensor, although im sure as with many mobile phones they did tinker with some post processing.
AlohaBiatch Yeah, for sure I realize that. My comment was more about the how good the cameras are in devices that aren't specifically cameras than to give Apple all the credit for that. I just mentioned Apple iPhones and iPads because Philip used the camera on an Apple iPhone 6s to film this video. I totally agree though Apple deserves credit for choosing the sensor and any tinkering they may have done but not for making the sensor. More importantly Philip deserves the most credit for making a beautiful video which he would do regardless of the camera he used.
Mr. Bloom, you are an inspiration. Thank you for the great work as always and can't wait till the day I produce something that's half as exceptional as your work.
Very nice. Makes me want to grab my phone and give it a try. BTW I was imagining @Philip Bloom saying "rolling shutter rolling shutter" in the opening shot
I remember back in filmschool the idea of editing a movie on a computer was just a lunchtime fantasy conversation over a cup of nasty coffee. Of all the future possibilities we discussed, being able to shoot the comparable quality of 35mm film with a f'king PHONE just never came up!
Hi, Do you have any comparison with this video against your test with Samsung Note 4K a year ago? Even better, put up a test with iOS, S6 Edge. Samsung have had 4K for almost two years now.
+Skogsforum.se on RUclips only by you watching them side by side. sorry i don't have time to do any tests or comparisons. This was just a spur of moment thing as it was!
Stunning, you could probably even toss on some motion blur in the beginning to compensate for the high shutter speeds and no ND filter(Do they make those for iPhones? haha) I've used RSMB before, works quite well.
you make make iphone footage look better then my GH4 footage... I have film convert and I still can't even come close the results... man I wish you would give us a color grading lesson!
great job, my friend. And the quality is amazing. Love the color grading. I was using Pro Cam app, but now I am using Filmic Pro. Better options, for example, LOG.
I like the way u make your films/short videos but u could of done this with any 4k phone, (samsung, moto, etc), i was wondering if u ever did those videos on the newish sony cameras u were working on. The only one i seen was from the RX100(IV), I was looking forward to see what u could make with those.
this looks great! other iphone footage i've seen even at 24fps looks choppy when focusing on moving people, water, vehicles, and like..... wind blowing leaves? if that makes sense. you've avoided that! by any chance did you use an nd filter? or lock your shutter speed? you captured some really beautiful and cinematic motion blur and i'm really curious about it! subscribed!
Impressive! I used to live in St. Margaret's near Marble Hill park. I miss that place so much. Used to walk down by Richmond lock all the time. Thanks for bringing back the good memories! :) Tell me, were you using any kind of stabilisation add-ons? You must've been using a tripod for some of those shots right?
Thats what Android phones like xperia z2 could do 2 years ago... You better do some tests with A7Rii or with Xperia Z5 Premium when it comes out - It shoots 4K and has 4K display
No. I'm just saying what will be interesting for the audiance to see and what is best in terms of video image in certain price range and categories. You always see agression in comments which dont have any in them, that was just a suggestion, not an order
Dude your post was rude, irrelevant and didn't seem to address the "interest of the audience for what's is best in terms of video image in certain price range and categories". Your post reads like "I have issues with Apple". Fine no problem. Please don't waste anybody's time trying to drag them in some religion war. Or you could post your thoughts in a better way next time.
This is the generation of young filmmakers you are going to see true skill because everyone is going to have availability to the tools. No more excuses...
+Jake Tuohy The tools are available, but is the storytelling there?
+Michael Ballif tools have been available for years. The playing field has been level for some time
+Philip Bloom agreed.
young guys never will have acces to professional tools, thats not an excuse, is just a fact
The clip proofs once again: it's the man behind the camera who makes beautiful pictures, not some pricey equipment.
Richmond looking beautiful as always ;)
philip bloom u turn every piece into an art......iphone cam turned into a film cam....
your work shows that skill is everything u need, not the equipment, u inspire me again and again and want to learn more from u and try to follow yr footsteps. thnx
i know nothing about film nor have much of an interest in it. but i find these videos help me de-stress, relax, and get inspired.
Good work Philip! I'm becoming addicted to 4K because of you!!!
i see upcoming 6s n 6s+ unleashing casual movie making like mobiles have unleashed photography in past few years
brilliant job done. It proves one more thing, the man holding a gadget matters alot more than the gadget itself.
+Darth Vader
I know ALOT of people who have 6s and s6 edge that dont even know it has 4k.
Watching your videos instantly makes me want to go out and film something. Nice work!
Philip, I'm a professional musician who's into video as a hobby. I have to say, your editing and color correction is the one that seems the most organic to my eyes. Really enjoy watching these videos!
It's crazy the quality that can come out of things like Apple's iPhones and even their iPad. Beautiful as always Philip.
+bokeflo the ipad cameras kinda suck though :(((
+bokeflo just FYI the iphone uses sony sensors. It's not like apple developed the camera sensor, although im sure as with many mobile phones they did tinker with some post processing.

I'm pretty happy, that I have Iphone 6s
Mr. Bloom, you are an inspiration. Thank you for the great work as always and can't wait till the day I produce something that's half as exceptional as your work.
This man can just casually make beautiful art.
Amazing. Not the phone but the cinematography.
This deserves a million views and shares
I love this. Well done Philip Bloom. You managed to pan right as those 2 were going to kiss
Lucky timing...glad they come up for air then went back at it!
Such a nice edit! Thanks 😀
+Rohe Energie - Vegan & Gesund Euch findet man auch überall :D
From a freaking phone... incredible! Very well done!
This is really nice! Can't wait to get the phone!
Stunning.. nice music choice as well.
Very nice. Makes me want to grab my phone and give it a try. BTW I was imagining @Philip Bloom saying "rolling shutter rolling shutter" in the opening shot
The grading was superb
beautiful shots
Philip mate, amazing work!!!
Thank you for your art I really love what you do Merci beaucoup
This really shows that it's true about it being talent, rather than having a fancy camera.
cannot wait to see the iphone7 f1.8 sense capabilities and noise reduction.
pretty nice film. good color contrast. nice scenery. Only thing lacking is depth of field.
nice (and appropriate) camera movements.
Wow i never wouldve guessed this was the iphone, great stuff!
0:47 it's Wes Anderson time :)
Glad someone noticed!
I remember back in filmschool the idea of editing a movie on a computer was just a lunchtime fantasy conversation over a cup of nasty coffee. Of all the future possibilities we discussed, being able to shoot the comparable quality of 35mm film with a f'king PHONE just never came up!
Nice Quality. Hard to believe that it was filmed with a smartphone!
Wow amazing quality from a phone
Absolutely stunning! Great shooting! @phillip bloom
Absolutely amazing ..
Beautiful. Well done.
What was this place? Amazing video.
Is there any difference/improvement in the slow motion department?
This is beautiful
So were the people kissing in the park staged or just perfect timing?
+Spencer Camay not staged
Wow Mr.Bloom! Great! :)
That looks much more better than my Canon eos 600d/T3i.

Amazingly well done!
0:47 looks like directed, well shot!
whats the best way to transfer video that is 4k to ur mac ?
Just wanted to say that you do truly amazing work. You are definitely up there with Steven Spielberg as one of my inspirations.
Robbie
what format of this video for upload to youtube? this video looks amazing
How do you rate the Wide Angle Moment Lenses and Moondog Animorphic Lenses?
Great footage by the way... looks amazing.
Excellent. Very well-done.
this looks amazing!! was it shot on the regular 6s??
im shocked
The images looks great, do you plan to write an in depth blog post about the 6s video?
I think you should read my description!
+Philip Bloom ah so sorry :/ kind of embarrassed about that.
+Mixedlumps no worries! many do the same@
Extraordinary
Damn. So clean....
+Philip Bloom Beautiful, I praise you and your work.
you make make iphone footage look better then my GH4 footage... I have film convert and I still can't even come close the results... man I wish you would give us a color grading lesson!
awesome video dear master videographer
I wanna see another camera review I just love how you shoot. I shoot in a similar style only less movement 😏
It is actually surprisingly clean in low light situations, what ISO did you have the camera set to?
great job, my friend. And the quality is amazing. Love the color grading. I was using Pro Cam app, but now I am using Filmic Pro. Better options, for example, LOG.
This inspires me...
Unbelievable! This iPhone video looks better than my a7sii videos. Holy smokes. lol
I like the way u make your films/short videos but u could of done this with any 4k phone, (samsung, moto, etc), i was wondering if u ever did those videos on the newish sony cameras u were working on. +Philip Bloom Thank You.
Just WOW!
Amazing! Just great!
So good.
Beautiful.

Did you use any noise reduction when grading? Either way the darker shots looks crazy clean!
What did you edit this with ? Very interested looks awesome !
Wow, that's amazing! Did the FilmConvert software allow you to export in widescreen?
beautiful!
Awesome video. This is definitely share worthy!
Have you run into this overheating issue when filming in 4K?
Nice edit, would be interesting to know how much battery you lost while shooting this, or if you even had to recharge.
+Daxter I reckon he will have had a couple of portable USB chargers on him
+Jack Rose I used one to top it up only because it wasn't fully charged. Wouldn't have needed it had it been.
+Daxter if they dont tell, no wonder this can match any professional cam result.
Lovely video
ProCam 3, or Filmic Pro?
Or anything better? Any of them compress worse than internal? All just preference?
did you use the moondog labs anamorphic lens or is the a 4k crop?
Beautiful
was that Cambridge? the video is awesome, good job, it's impressive the quality of the iphone!
+Juanito Johns no sir...the clue is in the title! :)
oh...
i think i will go the bathroom to cry like a little baby
How does Procam 3 compare to Filmic Pro? Cheers :)
@Philip Bloom
how did you find the low light performance especially when it came to grading it?
Thats what Android phones like xperia z2 could do 2 years ago...
You better do some tests with A7Rii or with Xperia Z5 Premium when it comes out - It shoots 4K and has 4K display
Sorry but why should I? Am I your servant?
FYI look pack 2 years in my history for a Samsung galaxy note 3k video
No. I'm just saying what will be interesting for the audiance to see and what is best in terms of video image in certain price range and categories.

This is awesome! :)
better footage than my dslr
Awesome!
Anybody else notice the weird glitchy movement occasionally? Is that RUclips, the ProCam 3 app, or the iPhone that is causing that?
How did u get a shallow depth of field on an iPhone?
Is this the standard 6s model?
Looking good as these are potentially work issued staff phones 😉
What's a staff phone? Bought from the Apple Store online
A work phone given to employees. You know, those of us stuck in 'real' jobs. ;)
Well. Don't work for apple obviously...I spent way too much dosh buying this
Phenomenal sir :) You filmed this on Procam 3 app and was wondering is it better than filmic pro? I'm asking because it's cheaper :)
Amazing
Nice Work !!!! Congrats :)
Oh wow!
well done!
Show us how you edit this pls
