Love "buy once, cry once", not heard that one before! I always say "buy cheap, buy twice". I have had this tent for a couple of years and love it. BA has thought through so many things with it.
I'm a seasoned a day hiker and fly fisherman, but very new to backpacking. I just did my fist overnight in the Adirondacks and it is safe to say that I am addicted! I have the 2P Copper Spur and I love it. Though, I am looking into the Nemo 2P OSMO Dagger. As someone who is also 6'1", I love high ceilings that 50ft floor space. Other than that, I love my Big Aggie! Love the video man, you have yourself a new follower.
REI has a ridiculously good sale on this tent now, so I picked one up. Then I ordered the green one as well because they didn't have it in the store. Now I'll do a side by side comparison of the color because I can't decide from the online photos and videos, LOL. One will get returned.
One thing that have me a bit confused about the rain cover, is that it have string loops on the inside. It's like they are meant for the tent poles, and alignes the raincover better, but it's cumbersome to set up. Do you know if that is the intended use, or is it for something else?
Hey there! Follow the link in the description to the copper spur landing page and you will see a solid picture of the fast fly setup! Great question. Thanks.
Idk man. Its a good tent but the ground sheet is shaped like shit and the mesh is very weak. After a few years its deteriorated and has many holes and Ive had to patch them up. I would NOT Recommend letting this thing see the sun for any extended period of time.
Thanks for your input. I've personally used this tent for quite a long time and have used on several multiday trips, overnight use, and general camping. I have had no issues with tearing or holes. We appreciate your comment!
I completely disagree. It is overpriced and poor quality and badly designed. I’ve had two zips break on my big Agnes and it leaks from the two end points of the cross pole for some reason water gets in there and runs down in a tent of getting wet inside on both sides. This is the most disappointing purchase I ever made in my Camping history should certainly not be getting another one anything but that lightest of rain it is useless. Okay for the kids to play in the garden with but not for any serious camping.

It's something we tend to say a lot around here! Glad your loving your Copper Spur too. It's our favorite tent for many reasons.

Thanks for the follow, nick! We appreciate the support. Definitely both solid tent options, really cant go wrong either way!

@@ridgeandriver thanks for letting me know!!
Now the sales even better! 260!
@@Djcd123that's a heck of a sale!!
Yeah just bought one for $260 during Black Friday on REI. Coming from a 6lb $50 amazon tent it’s a game changer.
One question, Is the floor waterproof??? I’m about to pull the trigger on it if it is!
Fly and floor are silicone treated proprietary ultralight double ripstop mixed denier nylon
I just wish they would make the floor rectangle instead of tapered so two 25” sleeping pads would fit without having to go with a three person one.
Definitely agree with you on that one!
Could get a tapered sleeping pad!

That sort of thing is meant to utilize in more extreme weather situations to keep the rainfly secure. Thanks for commenting!
Good review. You didnt say a word about the ground sheet tho. Do you use one? Seems like a must with only a 1200mm water column floor
You can use the BA ground cover, or a piece of tyvek. Either works!
@@ridgeandriver I would for sure use one. Was wondering if YOU did/do
How do you use the outer fly with just trekking poles?

@@ridgeandriver you can't use it with just trekking poles. I wanted you to tell me how you did it. 🤷🏻♂️
Black mesh would have been way better

@@ridgeandriverdid you use a footprint during the decade of use?
which ground sheet? There's 2 options, one that covers just the tent floor and another that covers the vestibules as well.
@@arpakyna the one with vestibules
@@DALTRON666 what's wrong with the one that includes vestibules? I'm trying to decide which one to buy
