  • Butcher Paper Back Ribs
This recipe is for the folks that like saucy fall off the bone back ribs.
This is the most simple tender smoked back rib recipe. The secret is pink butcher paper. Smoke and wrap with a sugar free BBQ sauce, it's that simple.
This is the method that we taught in our smoking classes 20 years ago but converted into the low carb version. I have also switched from the Big Green to the Kamado Joe.
    Sugar Free Rib Rub Ingredients:
    2 TBSP onion powder
    2 TBSP garlic powder
    1 TBSP fresh cracked pepper
    1 TBSP paprika
    1 TBSP seasoning salt
    ½ tsp. cumin
    ½ tsp. chili powder
    ½ tsp. mustard powder
    ¾ cup Swerve Brown
Mix all of the rub ingredients well.
Makes about 11/4 cups of rub.
    1-2 rack back ribs
    3' pink butcher paper
½ - 1 cup sugar free BBQ sauce
    Directions:
Rub ribs with sugar free rub and set aside in the fridge.
Preheat your smoker or grill to 250°.
Smoke the ribs indirect until you get some good color and flop.
Wrap the ribs in butcher paper with sugar free BBQ sauce and fold and tuck butcher paper to create a leak proof bundle.
Place the wrapped ribs back on the smoker for about an hour to tenderize.
Peek to see if they are cooked to your liking.
When ready you can sear the finished ribs to add a crispy charred bark.
    Notes:
Flop… Pick up one end and feel for the pliable doneness bend, it won't be as stiff as when you started.
I go for color in the smoking stage.
You can rub the ribs up to the night before for more intense flavor.
You can also cook the ribs in the oven but add a dash of liquid smoke to your BBQ sauce.
    Sweet Sugar Free BBQ Sauce
My quick sugar free BBQ sauce is sweet, tangy and packed full of flavour. This sauce compliments everything BBQ and more.
Just the right amount of sweet & heat.
You can customize it to your personal taste.
This sauce recipe was created for my super easy foolproof sugar free BBQ sauced Picnic Chicken, it's the bomb for summer cookouts.
You can have healthy BBQ sauce on the low carb diet very easily in 15 minutes.
    Ingredients:
¼ cup water or Jack Daniels Whiskey
    ½ cup sugar free ketchup
    2 TBSP Bragg's Cider Vinegar
    1 TBSP Worcestershire sauce
    3 TBSP Swerve Brown Sugar
Dash of your favorite hot sauce to taste
    ½ tsp. chili powder
    ¼ tsp. garlic powder
    ¼ tsp. onion powder
    ¼ tsp. chili seeds
    ¼ tsp. fresh cracked pepper
    Optional
    ¼ tsp celery seed
