Dude Airwolf is insane. Listen to those vocals at 10:00 most singers would flip to falsetto but he maintains a full voice going into those high notes.
If anyone knows what the singer did after this please write me. Can’t believe they only did one album.

Hammerschmitt: As a native German speaker from Hesse (the home state of this band), it is very interesting/cute to hear the lead singer talking with a slight accent from Hesse (some kind of a Frankfurt/Offenbach one) - wonderful. Their music ist very energetic, I love it! Thanks a lot for all those advises! Keep on Rockin'!

Saints Anger is one of my favorite bands ever. I had the pleasure to talk to HP, the lead singer, over email. He told me that he founded the band with his friend HR, the drummer, in '82. Then, invited Joe Walter, his fellow mate from a steelwork company, to play bass.He was a former accustic guitarist before joining the band. Sadly, HP told me that he died of cancer a few years ago.
After Danger Metal, they recorded 3 new songs that were written to take part in a second album, but due to mismanagement and the label failing to pay them, the band broke up before releasing it.
Some years after that, all four members from Saints Anger reunited, planning to form a new band, but Joe declined the offer saying that he wanted to play only for fun, as a hobby. The rest of the members, however, wanted something more, so they searched for a new bassist and this new band turned out to become Palace.
I have some photos from the band, demo tapes and those 3 unreleased songs, answer this comment if you want me to send you.
FUN FACT: I managed to buy the bass that belonged to Joe Walter (the one that appears in the video) from a friend in Hamburg. I keep it as a holy grail in my bedroom.

I will add something from me ;)
I got to know the band when I saw Palace in 2015 opening for Lordi. Great guys, great show, I was really surprised how good and how unknown these guys are!
Too sad that Palace stayed mostly as an underground act even since nowadays! Whole Palace discography (8 studio albums!) is worth mentioning, adding 2 demos recorded in 1992 and 1993 by 3/4 Saints' Anger line-up.
It's worth mentioning that Golden Core remastered and rereleased "Danger Metal" as 2CD album filled with demos, live recordings and plenty of great info in a booklet! Neudi supported the band in the 80s and still supports them now, so that's amazing!

Would love to see a video on RAGE sometime. It’d be quite the undertaking given how many albums they’ve got but the different eras help to split it up & attention can be given to some eras over others. Plus it fits within your wheelhouse especially after doing both Running Wild & Blind Guardian :)

Saints' Anger was reissued in 2008 by a German label called Golden Core with a bonus disc of a live bootleg. It's pretty damn cool!

Had I heard Airwolf back around 1989 when I was getting seriously into German metal, I probably would have lost my mind over that album. From just what I hear on this video, it sounds better than the first two Rage albums or even Running Wild. 16 year old me would have gone nuts for it.
Also, I had no idea that there was a German speed metal song about "Indianapolis" but I'm down for it.
Another awesome video! Always makes my day when I see a new one pop into my feed!

If I may I'd like to suggest a few names for possible future vids.
    1. TANK, and amazingly heavy and unsung band.
    2. STILLBORN, most assuredly an awesomely heavy band that deserves a vid.
    3. KILLER, a juggernaut from Belgium that although have released several albums have for the most part gone unmentioned (in the US at least).
Thanks again for the great vids on Manilla Road, Cirith Ungol, Loudness, Metal Church and so many other great bands you've covered on your channel.

Wow, never heard of 3 out of 5 of these bands (heard Vampyr on a compilation LP a friend had). Amazing how many cool bands from the 80's never got a chance at full career cranking our the metal. What's funny is that Forced Entry was also the name of a Seattle Thrash band (from the early to mid 80's). Being a teen metal fan in Seattle in the 80's is probably the only reason I'd ever heard of the Forced Entry from Germany (since they shared a name with the Seattle band).

Absolutly love your videos!! Thanks again, another killer video. I'm a metal maniac and collector from Switzerland. Finally someone who appreciates Hammerschmitt!! I love the Hammerschmitt LP since decades, what a killer album that no one seems to interest. The artwork is terrible, but the music is excellent. Really a shame they did not get the deserved success. Can't wait for your next video, as always... By the way, I don't know if you know the band REPRESSION from Germany ?! They released 3 albums, the first one "Animal Raw" from 1988 is one of my favourite metal albums of all time. The artworks seems boring, but the music is killer. Listen to the song "Nightrider", an immortal glorious metal hymn. Cheers from Switzerland and thanks for the killer work!!

Saint's Anger, Hammerschmitt Airwolf and Forced Entry I certainly like more than Vampyr.Airwolf who also a great demo in 1987. A lot of one release (at least before reformation) good bands from Germany in the 1980s-early 1990s worth checking out such as Courage, Black Fate, Branstorm (the 1980s one!) Mortox, , Unicorn,Sweat Cheater, Battlefield, Blitzz, Pain, Ballantinez, Nytemare, Aquila, Black Dragon, Bloody Climax, Acer Fury, Breaker, 2 different Overdose, Xxaron, Salem's Law, Bloody Mary, Life, Sudden Death, Outcast, Jackpot, Dead Man's Fan, Syntra,,Saint Vania , Inherent Sin, Deadly Sin, Monroxe,Bloody Creaze, Ravage, etc...

Thanks for the suggestions! I actually covered Nytemare in my video on bands that only released an EP. And I was really close to including Bloody Climax but I couldn’t find the last track from their album. Plus, Vampyr had some cool footage which was nice. But yeah I’ll check these out!

Bad Steve with former Accept members Jan Koemmet on guitar, Frank Friedrich on drums and Dieter "Rubi" Rubach on bass could be on that list. They only released Killing The Night.
There were a couple of other German bands with only one release. Sweet Cheater - Immortal Instant. They turned into the band Secrecy. The other band I remember are Wildcat - Love Attack. They also changed their name afterwards

I don't know if they're as obscure but I'm gonna have to recommend Dark Avenger. They were on the Death Metal split with Helloween, Running Wild and Hellhammer, but broke up a few years later and never reached the level of influence and legacy the other three bands did. Absolutely killer stuff though.

I knew of at least one of these beforehand and wonder when you’ll cover another Nordic band - and Germany are still producing great metal to this day - I recommend you all, when you’ve a spare to give Turbokill a listen - I love them, because they sound a fair bit like Mindless Sinner - who I have mentioned countless times L😂🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
Oh, Totally do a Swedish one At some point well it’s rare for them but I guess if you looked in the right place you’d be able to find enough for a video?
