@@gigantor62Pretty much what I thought I was watching, but didn't realize their were people out there who enjoy shows like that, sorry if I offended you but it's not really my thing. But hey who am I, what ever floats your boat.
The songs of Hank Williams were simple on the surface, yet so psychologically deep, and able to reach the depths and heights of the human experience. "Lost Highway" is another that quickly comes to mind.
If you mean the ginger haired kid,its not Danny but it appears he was killed in a McDonalds about 10 years after this trying to break up a fight. Anyone know anymore or who he was?
The character played by Rusty Keller in The Waltons and James at 16 is very likely the redhead in the M. C. Congregation as the resemblance (facial features and build) between the two is stunning. Unfortunately, I haven't found out anything else about Rusty since those appearances, and it's been over 40 years. Such a talented kid, it's surprising (and a shame) he didn't continue performing and making a name for himself. Lastly w/r/t the rumor of his getting killed at McDonalds 10 years after the M. C. Congregation performances, that would have occurred in the early to mid 1980s, which is well past The Waltons and James at 16 episodes. Maybe, with luck, we'll find out more about what happened with this guy.
they were to over the top with the performing I know people won't like this but I'm 56 and I grew up with kind of music not necessarily liking it however but when heard it on the radio and TV and kids listening to it at school it was way too much, I was into Rock n Roll and not the soft pop music like this.
EVERYTHING they did had the SAME "hokey" routine with Mike in the middle playing a non working electric piano. But I must shout HALLELUJAH watching those 2 blondes parade around.
no cult, just a choir singing , at that time it was very popular for large groups to sing...now up with america another large singing group were actually called a cult...
Johnny Cash nailed this on "Columbo" episode, "Swan Song".
First time seeing this and praise the lord I saw the light and it will be the last time.
Would you prefer drag show storytime?

The band, Elwood, The band!
Now there's a thing: a brother dancing with a ginger kid. Good times.
LOL!
And it happened in the most racist country in the world. Imagine that. LOL
Hey old hank Williams sang this song
Boy, one of those women sure looked a lot like Nancy Sinatra. I wonder if that was intentional.
I said the exact same thing, Man she looks very much like her.
Statement does not make any sense, flying saucer aficionado.
@@haroldreyes7549 I think you posted your comment in the wrong place.
It's just the style of that era
@@thegreatdivide825 well, that would explain the hair style, but the face?
Cults that sing are awesome!
The guy playing the keyboards looks like one of the Osmond Brothers.
Danny Bonaduce from the Partridge Family was pretty fit here.
That's not Danny Bonaduce. Hahaha

This group was actually a cult. Right? Right?
