I just don’t understand why make a big deal of banning TikTok in the US? China banned almost ALL apps from the west, so do you think this is fair? Why do countries even listen to China when they don’t even bother the international fair trade law?
Are we just going to pretend like China didn’t try to communicate to western media platforms before making the decision to ban apps/websites? For example, terrorist groups that targeted Chinese people used Facebook to organize themselves, and China tried to contact Facebook in hopes of then doing something about it. Facebook didn’t do anything. They clearly made the logical decision.

But China then restricted access to their servers outside China. Apple and Microsoft were willing to put their servers in China and do all the paperwork, their operations are going just fine.
