I made one for 15 of my crochet hooks. It's a wonderful way to use up your scrap yarn.Thank you for sharing this idea. Now I can find all my hooks. Lol ...........
I watched this video years ago and was able to make a case with your easy instructions. Here i am years later and am rewatching in order to have a refresher course
thank you for explaining this in steps instead of rows. it is so much easier to understand this way. you are a great teacher and I look foward to making this.
Thanks for this tutorial..your video is really easy to do for a beginner like me..I can catch up your work..I also search the other video but your video is the best..You explain slowly and pretty well that's why I can do it..I do thank you..
O....M....G......THANK YOU so much for taking the time to make this video.......I have tried to do this at least 7 times from different crochet'ers, but could never get it right......THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU.....keep the video's coming.......sooooooo creative and patient.
Thank you for this tutorial, I see this hook case in a crochet magazine but I don't understand how I can do, but with your illustrations and very we'll explain I finally can do it. I finish my project yesterday and I made my with 10 hook pockets, thank you.
Thank you so much for this tutorial, with you kind voice, slowly explained also for who does not speak perfektly the english language. I understood all, great !!
Can't wait to try this! Please make more video's , you are sooo incredibly good! Your voice is nice to listen to, and the video is so clear & easy to follow! Really impressed.
Thank you so much, for this pattern. I've found this one the easiest one to make. Continue to bless us with your talent that God gave you., Again I say thank you.
I did it YAAAAY my first crochet hook case thank you for your easy step by step toturial and for the written pattern also and its really easy project for biginers
You have taught me how to learn how to crochet from the beginning! Great teacher, made this, this morningnfor make up brushs for a christmas present! Thank you so much! Keep the videos coming!
Thank you for this tutorial!!! It was the only one that made sense after searching the internet for hours! I did 8 pockets and then on the 9th I only made the pocket about 1/3 of the size of the others for my yarn needles and bobby pins (bobby pins for stitch markers).
Your tutorial was well done. Very easy to understand & follow, easy on the ears & I can't wait to complete my project! I look forward to learning more projects from you! Thanks!
Thanks for sharing the project of 'Hook Case'..!! I am a beginner and I'm learning as I go but I was able to pull it off because of the instructions made it very clear and easy to understand. Your step by step explanation was very helpful. Looking forward to your next tutorial 😊 - Nisha Ashar (India).
Love , love , love , your tutorial. I just finished my crochet Hook Case it is beautiful. Your tutorial is wonderful very easy to follow.Thank you so much.
great tutorial and beautiful pattern. I started crocheting it, when I discovered it was too small for my hooks, so I chainded 31 instead of 21 and the rest I did by feeling. Keep up the good work!
I just finished this pattern! Turned out great!!! Thank you for your videos:) I have made the case, and the tablet sleeve. I have made a few sleeves for family too! Thanks again!
Thanks for the pattern, like Amanda I have Clover Amour hooks and am using a 6.5 hook and a treble crochet for the front of the pocket (Step3). Happy to have found this tutorial!
So far I love it! I didn't have a 4.5 hook so I'm using 4.25 instead. Hopefully I won't mess it up with my variation. I'm really looking forward to seeing the finished product. I really thought this would be too advanced for me and it probably would be if not for your video. Thanks so much!
yay thanks so much for posting this. I was thinking about buying one but this is way better. thanks again for taking the time to make this tutorial. keep them coming!
Love it! I am definitely going to make one!! Except I might sew some fabric pockets on, too because I have some tiny crochet hooks that will slip through the crochet pockets too easily.
Thank you so much for this tutorial, one small *I hope helpful* suggestion, of course depending on your hooks, and how tight your stitches are, you could provide a final measurement of each pocket :) I'm going to start mine again and add an additional 5 stitches as my hooks appear to long for my combination of yarn, tension & hooks :D Thank you again
yah, me too, i make things too tight so i need more stitches. I'm going to add 5 double crochets to the 5 all ready listed to make them long enough. Other than that difference in grip this is awesome, thank you!!
Thank you, for your easy to follow, step by step tutorial for this case, I can't wait to start mine. Your such a good teacher, your full of joy and inspiration. Just one quick question, if I wanted to add a smaller wider pocket on the end for my tape, stitch markers and scissors would I be best to just DC straight lines to my desired width then stitch a separate piece and stitch on to make a pocket? Just an idea to keep ALL my equipment in 1 place. Thank You Again xx Happy Christmas to you and your family.
I tried doing this with another tutorial and it became difficult - it had two rows for crochet hooks and an inserted plastic canvas to make it more like a book... I can do a little bit of that and a little bit of this to make it my own...Thanks for the super easy directions...
I gave this a shot. Loved it but it’s way to short for any crochet hooks. I was thinking maybe adding another 10 to the chain 21. I think the difference is that your stitches are done really loosely in your video.
Hi, Great video, I was able to follow it and I'm a beginner. I was wondering if I use a larger hook would the crochet hook holders be wider? All my crochet hooks have rubber handles which makes them quite wide. Thanks x
I am thinking of making this case, but can I use a 3.75mm (F) crochet hook instead? Also, what kind of yarn did you use? Thank you so much! Your tutorials are great. You have talent!
So I made the mistake of making separate pockets, and thinking we're going to connect them LOL I wasnt going to waste the 8 pockets, so I joined them with slip stitches and it worked! It made ridges between the pockets but I think it looks even better :)
I did the same thing and after my third pocket I realized my mistake. Since I'm very new at this I wasn't sure if I could join them afterwards but I'm glad you answered that for me, thank you!
If I want a crochet hook case for my Tunisain crochets kit. How long to I a to chain and do I have to Do more fore the pockets inside? Thank you for you good explains.
I'm a beginner and I just finished this project. I am SO proud ! I loved this tutorial, it was very easy to follow and I found your voice relaxing haha I used a bigger hook though, it was a 6.00mm because I don't have a smaller one but I have a lot of tension anyway. I didn't count my stitches and the outside is a little big for the inside but it doesn't look too too bad! I also added two "pads" on the side, on the inside, for my needles. My only problem is that the pockets are a little small for my 10.00mm hook... Do you have a facebook or somewhere I could share the picture of my work with you ? If you're interested of course... :)
I just found your channel! I'm a new subscriber. I love how you set up your videos. Very thurough and you work slowly for beginners. I did have a question, would I be able to sell the cases I make from this pattern?
Nevermind, I'm slow...lol I got it!! I also have eight free standing pockets because I didn;t bother to watch the whole video before I started and fastened off after every pocket
Thank You! That was so clear and easy to follow. I am a beginner, but managed this project like a pro! One problem... How would you do a project for the hooks with the rubber base? They don't seem to fit as well. What would you do to make the pockets bigger? Treble crochet? Just wondering. I may have to make another!
I'm a total beginner, but I've gotten pretty good at the single, double, and the chain stitch (they're the basic ones. Don't laugh.). Could I do this project easily or is there confusing steps involved? Thank you!
I'm a beginner & I was so excited when I finished the inside of the case... Only problem I had was that the top & bottom aren't even, am I missing a stitch or something???
Yes. Since you are a beginner i recommend counting your stitches after you complete each row. That ensures that your piece comes out as perfect as possible! Good luck :)
Another tip: put a stitch marker in your first and last stitch. That way you will not miss where to end your row. You can pull the stitch marker out every row and put them where you crocheted the first stitch.
This is very easy, but my brain does not think well when it comes to crocheting and I was wondering what to do to make the pockets larger, say for a roller bottle of essential oils? Thanks
Aw I tried this just now but the pockets from fit my clover amour hooks. :( Hoping if I adjust the hook size it might fit, or else I might use a treble crochet instead of a double. Thankyou for the wonderful free pattern though. Hopefully I can figure it out. :)

Thank you for sharing! I like the way you have the written pattern in the description as well, makes it even easier to keep up or when I get lost.
As I am watching step 2, I am thinking this would make a nice bag/purse :)
Can't wait to try this! Please make more video's , you are sooo incredibly good! Your voice is nice to listen to, and the video is so clear & easy to follow! Really impressed.
Very beautiful & very easy to follow. Thank you very much!

What a quick and simple way to integrate your loose yarn instead of waiting until the end and trying to weave all of them in.
Oh I just saw the written pattern in the info box. Gee, am I ever blind!!! Thank so so much for that
Your tutorial was well done. Very easy to understand & follow, easy on the ears & I can't wait to complete my project! I look forward to learning more projects from you! Thanks!

GREAT video...thank you
Love the pattern and was super fun to make thanks for sharing =)
It's so adorable , I like it
It's very pretty.
Depends on the size of your needles. You would most likely have to make the piece's width longer.
i've finished your basic circle scarf! i love love it :)
Thank you so much for posting this!! I can't wait to make it!! :-)
Mine came out a little wonky, but still amazing! Thank you so much!

I made two pockets using triple/treble crochet for bigger hooks. Maybe that, or longer stitches, would work for you.
thank you it is very useful
Very well explained.. Thank you :)

Hi,
Great video, I was able to follow it and I'm a beginner.
I was wondering if I use a larger hook would the crochet hook holders be wider?
All my crochet hooks have rubber handles which makes them quite wide.
Thanks x

me too so now i guess i need to stitich them together. I guess i am a little slow.
Nicole, I didn't even try to stitch them together, just started again.
I tried and I got one backward so I am starting again. I should have just started over. :-P
I made one but the crochet hooks comes out the bottom. Do you have that problem too? Anyway its real cute.you did a good job.🍦
I'm left handed, the openings are not all on the same side. What am I doing wrong? Please this is super cool and I've got tons of scrap yarn to use
This is amazing! I love you! :)

perhaps do 2 rows of sc instead of the one row of dc, or 2 rows of hdc to replace the one row of dc. bit late but nonetheless
Its beautiful ! :)

I don't have a 4.5... Would you recommend 4 or 5??? Thank you!
