Thanks for reminding us to think about designing a Four Season Garden. Foliage, berries and ornamentation add to a garden that we can enjoy year 'round.
My pleasure Lene! This morning, I looked outside and the birds reminded me that they too love all the different berries! ❤🐦
Hi Laura. This is my favorite time of year. You’ll love growing Hostas. One is never enough. You’ll enjoy it even more when they get big enough to split. I’ve filled up my garden beds this way. Thank you for the amazing tour. Your garden looks amazing year round!
Thanks Sammy! 😊 I can already tell you’re right about Hosta - I’m looking forward to seeing how it fills in and am already figuring out which Hostas I’d like to add as well! (And wondering why I waited so long.) 😃❤️
@@GardenSanity if you like try some sun tolerant ones I highly recommend Stain glass or guacamole which I added to my garden early this year. They’re lovely chartreuse color, get nice & big as well.
@@sammysworld5485 Thank you so much for your recommendations Sammy! (I keep calling you Sammy...but realize this may not be your name...) 😀 I really appreciate it and am writing these two down on my never-ending list! 💛
Love it all, especially the closeup of the Perfecto Mundo Pink Carpet azalea! Love those pink spots on the petals. Thanks for sharing!
My pleasure Natalie! I have a soft spot for these Pink Carpet azaleas, as I love using pink as a Fall garden color! These azaleas have exceeded my expectations in just their first season. 🌸🍂
Love the narrating, music and ESPECIALLY the colors of your beautiful garden. Happy holidays.
So beautiful. Thanks for the tour. Love, love.
You’re welcome Linda! 😊 And thank you for the compliments! 🌸🍂🧡
Thanks Laura Enjoy your weekend! Bonny
You’re welcome Bonny! 🧡 Enjoy your weekend as well! 🍁🌸😊
If you want to create some variation in your hydrangea, you can Chelsea chop some branches in summer. I do it to some low branches and they’re just blooming now while the rest have changed color. Keeps it interesting.
That’s a fun idea Will! I think I’d like to do this on my Limelight Tree here and there. 👍 I wonder if this would work with my Little Quick Fires? 🤔 I’m going to try it next year, definitely! It’d be nice to extend their bloom time. Thanks for the tip! 😀
beautiful garden, thanks for sharing. be safe.
Thank you so much Sonie! 🧡🍂🌸
Laura! What a magical space you've created!!! I should have taken notes cause I'll likely need to come back and add another comment. The pink azalea is to die for! It does look like a rose. And it's a ground cover? WOW!!! My limelights and other hydrangeas also have beautiful dried flowers. I've cut more this year than ever before and plan to use them on my Christmas tree along with some dried gumphrena (sp?) in three shades. I'm hoping to have only things from my garden on the tree this year other than ribbons. I love the cedar tree on the fence. I could definitely use some along my back fence. Those berries are gorgeous! And your pumpkins sitting in a wreath. Hope you don't mind if I copy you in two of my entry way planters! Thank you for the lovely tour!!! - Doleen
Oh Doleen: I love your idea of using dried hydrangeas and gomphrena on your Christmas tree! I love leaving all of my hydrangea flowers outdoors in Winter - but now you have me reconsidering! 👍 As for the pink carpet azaleas - I look at them every single day. They’re already so pretty even though they are young plants. I hope they fill in nicely over time, since they are the same shade as the pink rose in the same bed. ❤️🍂🌸
@@GardenSanity ❤I'll send you a photo of the tree when it's decorated! Truly that azalea is spectacular!!!
@@d.wilbur5164 Definitely please do Doleen! 🎄
Beautiful 😊 thank you
Thank you Debi! 😊🍂🌸
hi Laura! Agreed, love this time of year! I've been looking & looking for brunnera. Lovely video!
Hi Alexandra - yes, Fall is simply wonderful, especially with cooler temperatures. 🍂😀 I think you’ll have more luck with finding brunnera in the Spring. I’ve seen nice varieties offered online and in catalogs more than in person at nurseries. I can’t wait until mine fills in! (But I have to remember to be patient!) 🧡🍃
Your gardens are beautiful Laura ~ thanks for another fun garden tour♥
Thanks so much - and you’re welcome too! 😃🍁
Very interesting. Would like to know though what zone you are in? Many don't apply to those of us in Canada, zone 4b.
Hi there -- 7 seconds into the video I put up on the screen that I'm in Zone 7, in southern New Jersey. 😃 And great news for you: A quick search that I just did for you, shows me that 22 plants out of the 33 plants shown are -- in fact -- hardy in Zone 4! 👍 In fact, all of the panicle hydrangeas I shared in the video (Limelight, Fire Light, Little Quick Fire, Puffer Fish and Little Lime Punch) are hardy down to Zone 3! Here are the plants in my backyard garden that are hardy in Zone 4: Sugartina Crystalina Clethra, Sugar Shack Buttonbush, Brunnera, Bergenia, Hellebores, Heaths, Amsonia Storm Cloud, Color Guard Yucca, Magnolia Jane Tree, Prairifire Crabapple Tree, Hosta Echo the Sun, Kings Gold Mop Cypress, Blue Star Juniper, Dwarf Japanese Garden Juniper, Emerald Green Arborvitae, Boulevard Cypress and Reminiscent Pink Rose! So I hope this shows you that many of these DO apply to Canada and to Zones 4A and 4B...with some down to Zone 3. ❤😃🌳🌲🌹
thank you..sorry I hadn't seen that screen shot... good video and info@@GardenSanity
