Hi everyone -- I apologize for the typo of "Kramer's Red Winter Heath" spelled as "Kramer's Red Winth Heath" when it first appears. 🤭 Also - Did you see the bumblebee sleeping on the Lantana? I missed it while filming and only noticed it later when editing! It's at minute 17:26 - bonus points if you saw him the first time you watched! 🐝💛
I'm so glad to hear it Gail, because I think Winter interest really helps us see our gardens as a year-round source of beauty even when things aren't in bloom. 🌲❄🍂🙂
Thank you. 😊 Vancouver, BC is fascinating to me because all garden zones are found within your province! It took me awhile to realize not everyone in Canada is located in “colder” zones! 🧐😃
If I had those pumpkins in my landscape the squirrels and raccoons and Lord knows what else would have a field day and I would have conniption fit 😅😅 especially if I saw them lurking waiting for more Blessings 💜💚
Oh you. made me truly laugh out loud with your comment! 🤣😂 Squirrels leave mine alone thankfully -- but I know gardeners who have deer can have a problem with pumpkins being eaten. 🦌🦌
I am SO happy to hear this, and many thanks to you for sharing! I love this particular Dusty Miller, so I hope I can enjoy it for many years to come as well! Fingers crossed and thanks again! ❤
Thanks for the tour! We have, each season we have been here, slowly converting our sprinklers to drip or small low to the ground sprinklers. We have such hard water that the leaves of the plants become spotted. Bit of trial and error but the plants that got the conversion did really well this past season.
My pleasure Jean! We are doing the same thing here: replacing our sprinklers for low bubblers to avoid spraying overhead. 👍 It truly has made a positive difference in the backyard gardens so far. Next year we hope to tackle these front yard beds. 🤞(Of course I wish we had done it sooner!) 🧡🍂😀
Everything still looks really good! Im Jersey zone 6b-7 depending which site you're on...and my stuff definitely more spent looking.will you be adding more spring bulbs? That yellow lantana.. amazing
Hi Pam! I bet if you looked closely at your gardens, you’d see you still have some bright spots! 🙂 I decided not to add bulbs this Fall, which is unusual for me. I want to add more bulbs to the newer beds in the back yard, but want to wait a year before I decide what I want to add and let the newer plants grow more. The front yard beds have so many Spring bulbs, that now I want to focus on adding perennials to fill in where the bulbs are, so there aren’t so many bare mulched areas in the Summer and Fall. A fun project to plan over Winter! ☕️📚🌱😀 And yes - for some reason the annual Lantana loves that spot every year! 🌼
Beautiful color! I am in zone 7a & I have never heard of the Kramer’s Red Winter Heath.. I would love to try this next season. Did you purchase this from a nursery or Home Depot, Lowe’s. I will be keeping my eye out for this beauty. Thanks Laura 💕
Thank you Deb! 😊 You'll find Kramer's Red Winter Heath in the Spring -- usually on the early side of when garden centers begin putting out their Spring-blooming plants. This is because they like to sell these while they are still in bloom so customers can see how pretty they are! I purchased mine years ago from both Home Depot and Lowe's -- and also most recently this Summer I purchased healthy and good-rooted ones at Garden Goods Direct online, based in Maryland. (The one I just planted by one of the Lavender topiaries is from Garden Goods Direct!) Here is a video I did all about Kramer's Red, which you might enjoy: ruclips.net/video/z7t_Oc_fneo/видео.htmlsi=E-GttvQobs4cWpJU 💕👍
So glad I found your channel! I’m in Baltimore MD 7b and I can relate to what is happening with weather and plants in your garden. You have already given me so many ideas that will actually work in my garden; thank you. 🌿🍁🌻
My pleasure Carol, and I’m glad you found me too! 😀 Did you get your first freeze at night yet? ❄️ I was surprised at how much sooner it arrived than the past few years. At least the days have been sunny! 🌞🍂🧡
@@caroldieter5762 Hopefully you can get that done this weekend before the holidays kick in! 🤞I'm in the never-ending leaves falling like snowflakes around here! 🍂🍁🍃
Thanks for the suggestion Sonia -- and you're right that the leaf structure and tree shape is similar. But mine has bright green leaves all Summer long whereas the Tamukeyama has burgundy leaves in the Summer. But I appreciate the suggestion, as someday I hope to figure out what kind of maples these are! 🧡🌳🍁😀
Yes indeed - which is why there is a large banner on the video saying it is Dusty Miller and not Lamb’s Ears at the exact moment I made the mistake. 👍🤣 I tried to make it large enough so nobody would miss it! 👍😀

I will definitely try the Lantana next season..
It’s a great annual Silvia - easy care and once the hot weather of Summer kicks in, your Lantana will bloom non-stop all season! 👍🌼🌺🍂
Beautiful!❤
