    Good morning everyone. I know that your new "headquarters " will turn out nice. I'm sorry you have severe cat allergies but you clearly love them as you take good care of them and give them cuddles.

    • @HiddenSpringFarm
      @HiddenSpringFarm  Год назад

      Yeah but I have noticed the allergies weaken the more I’m exposed. I was asthmatic as a kid but kind of adapted over the years. Shedding dogs like Labradors bring it on too. I’m fine with our Old English Sheepdogs cause they have hair not fur bad they don’t really shed.

      Over many years, but no training. Watched a lot of fixer upper shows. I love tools too so I always need a project to test em out. My father is not handy at all either. I just kind of person that if I enjoy something I strive to get good at it.

    When I was very young my father (carpenter) built the house we lived in. We were in the basement until the upstairs was finished. He was quite meticulous about his work. I remember being in awe when I saw the living room. He had plastered the walls with a swirling design. It was so well done, it looked so classy. Any way, I live in a house now that the previous owners did a lot of "diy" stuff-not very well done. If I ever win the lottery I want to get all the electrical wiring done over by a licensed electrician. Good luck with your build, you look like you know what you're doing.

    Great to see you have the skills to build a new building, but how about designating half of your existing building to the kittycats, instead of allowing them to roam the entire existing building? Oh well you must have cha-ching to burn, instead of using tough love on the kitties. God Bless your heart!

    • @HiddenSpringFarm
      @HiddenSpringFarm  Год назад +1

      It could be done but the space would be pretty small if I sectioned it off. Plus I can’t stay in there for any length of time in the winter since it ‘a old & drafty. It’s built like a barn not a shop. Once I get a sawmill it’ll be setup beside the new shop so it made sense 😉

      No, just got interested in renovations on our first way back when. Watched a lot of fix it shows too. I think of it like recipes…once you know how to slice, dice, chop, sautée, bake etc it’s just a matter of following the recipe. Once I knew how to measure, cut, use tools etc the rest is my creativity. I really enjoy building things too.

    Hi Chad. Just watching this video after focusing on the Philippines 🇵🇭 for the past few months and missing your videos. You are so kind letting the cats keep their cat house! How many cats do you have?? I have 4 and think that’s a lot! Do you have the subfloor just floating on the concrete piers? No hardware to anchor the floor joists? looking forward to seeing how this project progresses.

    • @HiddenSpringFarm
      @HiddenSpringFarm  Год назад +1

      Joists are anchored with hurricane ties. The sub floor is glued & screwed to the joists. We have 7 cats now cause we lost Chewie a while back, not sure what happened to him but probably a coyote got him. The cats r running the show here 😂
