JIMMY PAGE OF ( LED ZEPPELIN ) loves this band. He met the group back stage and asked if he could have his picture taken with the drummer( AKANE ) she thought it was a dream ( it was not ) a rock legend like that giving props to the girls, how awesome is that.Jimmy Page( LED ZEPPELIN) just after seeing the band play in Tokyo in 2016. He complimented Akane. Akane was star struck. She later said Mr Jimmy Page-san offered her much encouragement and she promised to do her best.
The talent level is off the charts, These girls are flat out ROCK STARS. SHRED ON LADIES...

This is one of my favorite songs from them. It’s too bad you couldn’t go to any of the la shows this year, but hopefully I’ll see you at a show the next time they come back to la! Probably next year since their new album comes out in December.

Just think Miku was working as a waitress in Tokyo and decided she wanted to form a band. She finds Kanami on RUclips, Kanami contacts Akene for drums, Akene then contacts her school friend MISA for bass. They decide they need a stronger lead singer, so though their own management company they audition Saiki, not telling she would be wearing a maid costume. So we have Band-Maid! WHO says there is no Rock and Roll God!!
Actually, Miku found Kanami on Audioleaf, a Japanese video music site. Unfortunately, Kanami took down all of her videos a long time ago. :-(

@@outwest1014 one very important point. Miku had tried the JPOP idol route and to put it charitably failed. This forced her to go to work for Maid Cafés just to pay the daily bills. And there she formed the idea as you related. Here's my point: at that time Miku did not know how to play a musical instrument nor did she have any experience with Western rock n roll. That is like if l was working at MacDonald's fast food restaurant and l decided l will become a world ranked tennis player while having never even held a tennis racket in my hand before. At the very least there would be a steep learning curve.

Moratorium is one of my favorites. Looking forward to a cover, my recommendation of the ones you watched so far would be Play. 🥁👀

Make up your mind. First words out of Miku's mouth. I caught Babymetal yesterday and my personal opinion of them has changed more favorably after watching them. But Band-Maid is much more my cup of tea. They are simply the best hard rock band on the planet today. And, correct me if l am wrong but l swear Babymetal sounded like Band-Maid at several times during the show yesterday. Was l imagining that?

@@ronoda thanks. I was lucky enough to get to see Band-Maid at the Echoplex and Babymetal with Korn and Tool at Aftershock last Sunday. That's about a mile and a half away from my front door. As l wrote before l would be more than happy to change my mind after getting to see them. Basically, l decided l was critical of them because they were a record industry construction much like the Monkees were here back in the 60's. That was wrong. Not everyone gets to choose how their opportunity arrives. They do get to choose what they do with it. Babymetal puts on a first rate show. The musicians who back them were first rate. When I am wrong about something and l have been once or twice before, l have to admit it. Don't be mistaken. Band-Maid is my band. That being said Babymetal is good and well worth the price of admission. It really shouldn't be a competition because Band-Maid and Babymetal have only two things in common: they come from Japan and they both play a modern version of a recognized genre of rock music. You can actually like and/or love both for what they are. Best regards.
@@sacluvsBM I totally agree with you. It's not an either or and in this case like you said they are totally different acts... Band Maid is def my favorite too, but I did see Babymetal at the Forum and the production value was off the charts, never seen anything on such a scale.. if I had to choose between the two I'm going to Band Maid, but if not I know I'll definitely get my money's worth at a Babymetal show lol..... there's def room for both... lotta phoneys on the net, but you are the real deal bro.. stay true. respect.

Great reaction. You should react to "Freedom" next. The ladies seem to be having a good time during the performance. Miku has two lead singing parts in song. First part seems to be planned. Not sure if second part at the end was done on fly though. Saiki goes out into audience to sing, then you don't see her and Miku picks up the vocals at the end. I've heard other people explain that Saiki (and her shoes) was "kidnapped" by the ladies section but eventually returned (and the shoes later). So Miku had to pick up the slack.
