@Luniversed It's a mysterious song.
I was sure I'd heard it live in LA last year, but after seeing the setlist and show reports I certainly didn't.
So I can't be surprised you thought you already reacted to it. : )
Miku's harmonies are so good, and the way the guitar comes back into that new groove after the solo is sublime.
'Puzzle' is still in my top five BAND-MAID songs.

yeah I don't remember hearing Puzzle when they played at the Lodge. I wished they had. I was glad they played Don't you Tell Me with Kanami and Misa having a conversation. Disappointed that they played the same song straight this year but they always like to change things up to stay fresh

"Rock in me" for sure. but which one sounded the best??? A fan phone in Europe or in the US.
Kanami is at the top of her game on this one. Lead riffs for the entire song. The arrangement was very on point, I especially loved Miku's backing vocals, just seems perfect for this song. As to Saika, MISA and Akene what can you say, just perfect.
All Band Maid songs are amazing but this is about 3% more amazing than the rest.
I have a playlist on my phone called 'Fucking Bandmaid!'.
The description is 'Just the bangers, ie: almost everything.'

They are astoundingly great are they not? I don't care what any one says either, Miku was great on rhythm. Deep and crunchy and perfectly played so Kanami could do that insane shit that she does with complete freedom..
Miku does an amazing job considering she didn't pick up a guitar until she was 23 years old. She must practice 10 hours a day to be able to keep up with the rest of them
As a drummer I really love the way Akane moves things around all the time. Building tension, releasing then driving it straight, and the moving it around again. I have not been this enthused by a drummer since since the 80s when I was first learning and listening to Peart, Moon, Bonham etc.

🤘🤘❤️🤘🤘 MISA MISA MISA!!! 🤘🤘 Oh yeah!!! This is great!!! Dark though!! The acoustic version really displays the intent of the song since Miku likes to play around with doing dark stuff to happier sounding music for dynamic contrast!! 🤘🤘

Kanami is the driving force behind writing the music these days. She's super talented and likes to highlight the other members, and in a few of the interviews I've seen over the years dismisses most praise for her skill. In the studio version, the guitar isn't as forward in the mix as it is here. The acoustic version of this song is really good too.
There are no ego driven personalities in this group of very good friends who truly love each other. Kanami possesses another desirable personality trait. She is humble. Happy birthday to the band's founder Kabato Miku. Thank you small pigeon for what you have done. You are an exceptional woman. Regards.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Little Pigeon, so glad you got round to my Fav Live Track, the entire Band is on Fire all standouts, from the Ice Queens Beautiful vocals to Little Pigeons Superb Backing vocals and Rhythm Guitar work, The Gorilla pounding the shit out of poor Emily(Drum Kit), MISA being MISA and Kanami virtually soloing the entire song.
You should react to "Freedom". The band seems to be having fun performing it. Miku takes over lead singing in two parts of song. Towards the beginning it seems it was planned but towards the end Saiki goes into audience to sing some, then she disappears and it seems Miku picks up the singing on the fly to finish the song. Yeah, the pattern of the song itself is a Puzzle. Looking at the list of BAND-MAID songs you done, I'd say it's time you did BAND-MAIKO 'Secret Maiko Lips'. You might also compare it to the LIVE or the Music Video of 'Secret My Lips'. Or you could go back to where it all started with their breakout video 'Thrill'. Or you could do Miku's Magic Time and do 'Rock In Me'. It's up to you which way you want to go with it.

Puzzle is actually a sad song. It's about a girl who likes a guy, but can't seem to connect, like a puzzle piece that doesn't fit. There's an acoustic version that Saiki just kills.

It's a fancam, but I heavily recommend Freedom from The Gramercy in NYC, Sept. 26th. I was there, best version i've ever heard, even from other fan cams from the US tour. Amazing drum solo in it.

Power polyphony...... is that a term? Either way Band-maid defines it.
Great reaction love getting your input on this band, if you're interested in an early band interview they did that really shows their personalities and how the band formed. Its called Music Gold Rush 73 Band Maid part 1&2, check it out keep up the awesome vids man.

It is possibly called puzzle because of the various changes in the song
'Yolo' Live or MV it really is not only a great Band-Maid song, it is in my opinion one of the greatest songs ever written..the second verse sees all the instruments playing on the off-beat against each other, something rarely seen outside of Jazz, and the final verse is magical! Oh and Kanami's solo is blistering!
