That kind of damage on hard landing SHOULD BE modeled by default for all MSFS default GA airplanes, imo. And because it isn't, kids and all sorts of newcomers are landing at -400/-500ft/m, and say "wow that was a good landing!" while I make all sorts of cringe faces lol. Worst of all, they will never learn to land properly when the sim is not punishing bad and hard landings, like XP11 does.

I like the look of this mod. I'm doing a tour of Scotland in the G100 172 at the moment and I can't break my immersion by switching planes, but I think once I've finished my tour and flown back to my home airport of Exeter I will get this add on and start using it.
I plan to buy flightsimbuilder's GNS 530, it's only $280 and for another $20 they sell a Honeycomb mount so you can screw it into your yoke or throttle quadrant.
It would be great if you could review one for the channel if they could give you a review model. It's a great price for a piece of avionics and matches the model in this plane so would combine nicely.

I saw a review a couple of weeks ago that was critical of how little you get for so much money. I disagree - this enhancement is EXCELLENT. Now I actually take some care during start up and shut down, and everything in between. I think this is worth every penny. (I think a little buffing and some speed tape, and your plane should be good as new!)

In terms of realism the out the box experience of MSFS2 was more hardcore and realistic than the current one , it is the single thing that keeps me playing regular, with no combat it needs to offer something else, and currently the out the box experience doesn't offer that, I welcome this mod for sure.

While I do agree A2A have already set a high bar in FSX/P3D and do believe they will bring something really quite amazing to MSFS (eventually), they are really starting to lose ground to other developers. Not sure I would pick up this addon (never say never), but it is good to see developers pushing towards that bar and delivering alternative options now. A bit a shame that JF do not appear to have gone quite to this level of detail with their Pipers… either that or I am just treating them too well. :)

@@justflight A little update - using the Turbo Arrow with Neofly the other day. I was located at an airfield with a fairly short runway with trees at each end. The Arrow was pretty heavy with cargo/passengers so I knew it was going to be a tricky departure as I had just completed a previous passenger run from the same location.
This time though I push the engine too hard and became aware the engine RPM dropped a as I accelerated for take off… initially I was not sure what it was, but when the engine RPM fluctuated and dropped again I knew I had too abort the take-off and had just enough runway left to do so. Sure enough when I checked the tablet the engine was showing to be damaged. Very much Pilot error, but having aborted the take-off we all lived to tell the tale. With the engine repaired and paying closer attention to engine limits the following departure was tight but we got away even if a little closer to the tree than ideal!… 😎

Good review and comments. Lots of great details added. I've been searching for comments about this enhancement, but I haven't found any information about improvements to the flight. I'd like to see improved performance so the model matches the real world specification. Would like to see the plane match climb, decent, rates based on current atmospheric pressure and air temp. Does the model stall in the same manner that the real plane would? Are the V speeds modelled accurately? Has anyone noticed an improvement to those type of physical factors?
