Had that happen to me once after riding a steer. I just you know, landed on my uh, shoulders/head area. And that was the day I had left my head gear in the car. So, I had a concussion. Hah, It hurt, but I've been thrown a few times. Once I landed on my side and the bull threw me up again. Then I landed on my feet in a very ungraceful way.

Back in the 90's when I was riding bulls, it wasn't a big deal to hit a bull with what is called a hotshot. Nowadays, most stock contractors won't even allow a hotshot. So please don't let your disdain of the sport blind you in to thinking it is cruel.
@Camilla Johansson, actually the bulls are having fun. If they weren't, they would do 1 of 2 things. Either they would stand there & not buck, or they would run from the two legged creatures. Bovines are what is called "pressure" animals. I've worked with & around cattle for several years. If you apply pressure the cow, steer or bull or cattle will move away from the pressure. Apply too much pressure & they become agitated or aggressive. These bulls are bred for bucking. That's their primary purpose in life. After that they become, if good enough, a reproductive bull. And then they become a part of the food chain. I've seen grown men walk amongst bucking bulls & never get hurt.
