I spent several years as a Bullfighter/Rodeo Clown. I must say that was the biggest rush you can ever feel. Except combat. I even went to a school and learned from the great Bullfighter Miles Hare. Best money I ever spent. Watching these crashes makes me feel I was there. Ironicallly, I have great respect for every rider. I feel safer fighting than riding a bull.
Fighting is alot safer especially in a sport setting. Bulls can toss you like paper unlike even the very strongest mma wreslers . You run from a bull when off it. You dont stand and trade 😂 your comment shouldn't have to mention you fear fighting less that's everyone
I applaud my self for not satisfying my urge to ride a bull at the Rowel Ranch Rodeo in the 80s.It was one of my better decisions in that period of my life.😊
I’m lovin bull riding this year because these are some of best bulls since yellow jacket, bodacious ect… Bull riders are tough and I love the bull fighters keepin ‘em safe out there! Great Job!!

Landing wrong could easily mean a snapped femur, broken ribs and punctured lungs, or way worse. The helmets save lives, yeah. But it would crumple like paper between the ground and an angry bull.

Really hate seeing Helmets not be made mandatory. I am aware that a direct stomp on a helmet can still do a lot of damage, but the ones I have witnessed would have otherwise been dead without the helmet. The NHL players association also balked at the use of helmets but eventually knew if they wanted to play, helmets had to be worn. Wonderful bull riders still do not all wear helmets. My husband was of the day before any helmets. As a Emergency Room Nurse, I can tell you that we would see less damage to the human head if the PBR made Helmets and maybe even with face guards mandatory. If the traditional hockey helmet is not doing the job in bull riding then there should be one designed for this sport. It’s so sad to see severe injuries to the head only bc the hat was on instead of helmets. I love the sport! These athletes both human and bovine are AWESOME!! ❤Give the riders one more level of safety please! So many wear them already. However, one guy without a helmet is too many. Looking forward to teams the end of this month!🙌

A helmet won't help either. Cowboys don't take risks. these are clowns.
Fun fact: Archeologists examining Neanderthal skeletons said they showed injuries similar to those PBR riders suffer today. I guess trying to hunt a woolly mammoth or woolly rhinos with a spear are contact sports too.

honestly, my absolute FAVOURITE bulls have to be: Bushwacker, Twisted Steel, Cool Whip, Smooth Operator, Red Demon and Pearl Harbour! They are/were all so good at what they do! (So are the riders, but I’m talkin bout the bulls rn.) and every one of em are gorgeous! ESPECIALLY TS, CW, SO, and PH^^ if I had the chance I’d met all the bulls, give em a snack and a scratch on the neck!
