Super bike, congrats on the build. I have a small question regarding the Crank. Right now I have Merida Reacto with BB386evo. The crank is 53/39 FSA K-light which I really like (580g) and I would like to transfer it to this new S-Works frame. I'm assuming that I need some kind of adapter. Can you give me please a recommendation?
Nice bike. I am in between Venge and Tarmac. Currently I have Tarmac rim brake and I want to go disc but afraid that Venge is not as comfortable as Tarmac. Advise please as I may get another Tarmac disc in this case.
I tried both and went for Tarmac disc. Both nice but Tarmac felt much more comfy and responsive to me. I was able to stay in and aero position for much longer. Also if you build a Tarmac with the aero bar and deep wheels then the aero gap between the two is hugely reduced. Therefore Tarmac is actually the faster bike for me. Others will probably differ but for me I felt the answer lay in the complete picture considering the rider, bike and build components.

The size 54 venge would be my size, and all the bikes I own are size 56. Definitely would have been too big for you. I don’t how anyone could say a slammed bike is too small, quite the opposite.
Very nice bike! Perfectly balanced out and the fastest bike possible! The only thing is that Is could personally not choose between the Pinarello Dogma F12 X-Light Disc or S-Works Venge like you took! They are both very light and aero!

@@Rexuar Quite easy actually. Switch to 140mm -17* venge stem. (stiffer and lighter). Switch out specialized (dt swiss) through axles for some weight weenie axles (tune Robert axle project etc). Unpadded narrower berk saddle saves 20g. Enve bottle cages are also not the lightest option. Switch out rotors with xtr rotors and you are at 6.8kg. Ronny doesn't like mixing brands and that is the only reason this build isnt at 6.8kg. GP 5000s are also heavier than alternatives such as hutchinson galactics, schwalbe pro ones or vittoria corsa 2.0 tlr.
Anyone can compare this one to the dogma f10?? I would like to get the venge as well, but doubt it's worth getting since the f10 is already such a dream bike....

Me is 49. Yet I change a lot for climbing, 48/32T qring, ceramicspeed pulley, ceramics chain, ceramics for both roval CLX64 wheelset, SRM PC8 Meter (next to switch to Garmin) to measure performance.. BB30 with ceramics as well. Yea.. Too much for a person like me. Then send to a factory for repaint. I dont like the default frame color. Now able to maintain 45-55 kmh for few minutes. Not more than 15 minutes. Thats so hard for me to go further like those pros. 😭😭😭, Downhill used to reach 85kmh with good road surface. Dont forget to have Maxxis Refuse for better puncture protection. Thats a lot peace of mind for me. I tried the tuning by referring to the late Sheldon Brown calculator in the web. That helps a lot for knowing the gear ratio and pretending like a pro. 😎😎😎 Heavy, yea.. 8kg++ is pretty usual for aero frameset setting. Hv you weigh your TT? Thats fine bro. You hv to change to the other frame to get to the 7kg range.

A 140mm stem length on a 49cm frame is very wrong. For a bike to handle correctly & have the stability on decending the riders weight requires its distribution to be correct. Your 140mm stem length for your height puts too much % of your weight too far forward & over your front wheel. Caleb Ewan? Richie Porte? I did 86km/h and was completely fine. Plus explain me how does a size 49 in particular become unstable because of a long stem? The seatpost is almost fully extended, with a lot of setback, so my weight is in fact shifted backwards.

He recently only uses a 14cm as he believes it helps him in the sprints of which scientifically is right as it puts more weight over the front & makes the overall feel more lively...but it also makes it more unstable. The majority of Pro riders on average frames 55/56cm use circa 12cm. Only extremes are overly long stems on small frames. As yourself why current TDF winner Gerant Thomas has used a 12cm in most years as a Pro yet he rides a frame considerably larger than your 49cm?
Steve Bzz it’s likely his first language doesn’t distinguish between the sounds or doesn’t have the v sound in it. That would mean the w sound is either not perceived as being incorrect or not able to be pronounced like a native english speaker. Either way, it’s just one of those things that goes along with speaking a foreign language

you only need spacers, or a complete BB for a more elegant solution
@@ronykuba can you point me out in the direction of the spacers? I think the Ceramic speed BB that comes with the bike is a keeper.

zakymaa I know 2 riders who went with Tarmac and regretted it. Ended up selling their Tarmacs at a loss to get a Venge. You won’t regret more aero.

It's not an endurance bike, but comfort is good. Doesn't really matter though because you can fit 32mm tires.

He's used from 11cm to 14cm as a Professional so yes as yours but this is not stable on fast decents.
He recently only uses a 14cm as he believes it helps him in the sprints of which scientifically is right as it puts more weight over the front & makes the overall feel more lively...but it also makes it more unstable.
The majority of Pro riders on average frames 55/56cm use circa 12cm.
Only extremes are overly long stems on small frames.
As yourself why current TDF winner Gerant Thomas has used a 12cm in most years as a Pro yet he rides a frame considerably larger than your 49cm?

Steve Bzz it’s likely his first language doesn’t distinguish between the sounds or doesn’t have the v sound in it. That would mean the w sound is either not perceived as being incorrect or not able to be pronounced like a native english speaker. Either way, it’s just one of those things that goes along with speaking a foreign language
