225 slant six was a great motor, couldn't kill it as long as you put a quart of oil in with every fill-up after 60/70 thousand miles.

Nonsense. Even though I did need to "fill the oil and check the gas" every day on the company car that I used to deliver auto parts with as a kid, I was successful in developing and fostering a very satisfying rod knock in an old shit box Volare station wagon . It was quite satisfying actually

Reminds me of the movie Duel. I can imagine that this car is being chased by a souped up diesel semi truck

Brought back a lot of memories from my teenage years in the 80's. Had a friend with a slant 6 duster, one with a slant 6 Nova, and one with a slant 6 Javelin. All were reliable transportation, but they certainly were not fast...

The slant six was a great engine, just needed a valve lash adjustment now and then.

    Probably had a 276 rear? Those weren't known for their 0 to 60 times, BUT 60 to 100 felt like a 318!
