@@hyperpak2498 search John Robert Fish / Fish Carburetor Co. Daytona Beach. I don't know of anyone mfg the carb now. It was a rather simple design but had a wide range of adjustments and some interesting advantages over any carb I've ever seen. The Slant Six in my '67 Dodge Coronet was stock. But I had twin Weber 45DCOE's on my '71 Datsun 510, along with a bunch of BRE stuff. Great job on the Colt!
That looks and sounds amazing. What intake are you using? is that a redline? I've got a couple of the Webers but need to find a reasonable intake and another carb.
Hi Randy, I am using the Clifford Intake. Real short runners and makes Headers tight. The linkage is difficult also. I know folks who have the Redline, it installs better. Now which performs better I do not know. Here is the whole built, start to today if you are interested. www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/threads/1972-dodge-colt.442249/
Curious i have a 75 duster with a slant and trying ti get a rowdy little car. But not really to many aftermarket parts for these what did you do to get more power
Mine is a race only car. But for street I would increase the compression with a .100 cut on the head. Then intake and header with a correct advance curve. That will make a big difference. Thanks for watching!
@Cowboy2659 I use the Holley Red Pump with a Holley low pressure regulator. They have a regulator rated .5 to 5 PSI. It works good however I monitor it with a gage and have to adjust it sometimes.
@@hyperpak2498 i have a dual weber carb setup on my 225 waiting on that same pump to show up. Glad to hear it got the right one. Im sure ill start having to mess with the ignition next but part of the fun. Yours sounds great btw
@@Cowboy2659 The Holley Regulator was the key part. Make sure you get the Low Pressure one. 12-804 is the number, 1 to 4 PSI. Good luck with your Slant. I have mine close to the 7's in the eighth mile.
I sure do hate that no one will run IDFs or any mikuni or any valid down draft on that engine in an individual throttle set up. It keeps the fuel from coming out of suspension in the air and condensing on the intake's wall at the bend before the valve's face. You'd be amazed at how much better the cylinder charges.
I have seen side drafts run in Australia. There is a video on RUclips. There is also a Weber dyno run where you can see the fuel in the stacks at high rpm. Thank you for watching my videos as I try to get this little Colt running faster.
@Hyper Pak thats the hemholtz effect. Youll still be able to see that with individual downdrafts. Can you tell me what angle off the face of the cylinder head you can see the most of the back face of the intake valve when viewed through the intake port?
@@usedtruckemporiumusedtruck4166 That is hard to measure, but on a head in the garage I would say about 45 degrees. Its about 5 inches to the far side off the valve and around 4 to the closer side.
@@hyperpak2498 Anything you can do to improve line of sight to the back face of the intake valve will a) reduce the amount of fuel taken out of suspension, and b) focus the vibrations of intake valve which really become important at about the cross over or atleast 5000rpm. and this leads to better atomization of fuel. If you shine a flashlight into the intake port, are the roofs of the port very clean, but the walls dirty?
@@usedtruckemporiumusedtruck4166 Yes, there is a lot of work to do on the head. Every thing is clean it's only been together for a few runs, maybe 6 or 8.

@James_T_Quirk Love to hear from folks from Australia! I think Webers on a drag car might be easier, on and off! Thanks for watching.
