    God its such a beautiful thing to see his son so excited to see his old life. That's a gift you honestly can never ... thats priceless. I love you Bob. Whether you know it or not you played such a major role in my recovery from Heroin and Oxycodone. I love Bob Forrest man such a good guy.

    When you loose the thing that defines you and gives you purpose is when you hopefully finally see the light despite the incredible discomfort. Mr BF surely did a remarkable pivot to regain purpose, hope and life.

    The moment when I heard "Body and soul" my life changed, I was this 17-year old all boiled up in rage and confusion and then this song came along and it made me go "Yeah, that's exactly how I feel!"
    I had so much solace in that song.

    A great survivor story.
    Bob is doing God's work now, helping addicts get straight, body and soul.
    Bob seems very happy and it should be an inspiration to any person struggling with addiction in any form to strive towards.
    Thanks for posting this!

    Who else hears , with closed eyes, The Dude when Bob is speaking ?! 😅 Their gig at Pinkpop '93 was as rock'n;roll as can be ! Good that he came out this good. (But hey John Frusciante was in a even worse state and is still alive..)

    You hear so many stories of our justice system failing people.. but sometimes you hear about it saving people. Like bob and Trey anastasio. Which thank god the world still has both of them, because we're are a much better place with them in it.

    They were abuzz band in the late 1980s but no amount of record label PR seemed to do more then get them minor college radio airplay. CamperVan Beethoven/ Cracker were lumped in with them. Outside of LA they were a cult band.

    5:33 I lost a lot of respect for Bob that he would display a print of Mao OUTSIDE HIS HOME. Might as well put up a Hitter painting too. At least he murdered fewer people.

      You'd be missing out on a lot. Bob got clean 23-24 years ago, and has been one of the most effective drug intervention counselors anywhere in the country. He sidelined his music to help people quit narcotics and stay healthy. He's saved hundreds of lives over the past couple decades, is a sober and humble guy, and is still a brilliant musician. Post 1990s Bob is one of the best people you could hope to meet.

    • @zippymufo9765
      @zippymufo9765 3 года назад

      @Anderson Cooper Yup. His main claim to fame is that he was buddies with more famous musicians. Frankly I think his music was shit.

    • @zippymufo9765
      @zippymufo9765 3 года назад

      @Anderson Cooper My point was that there are tens of thousands of drug counselors in America and nothing about this one is particularly unique or interesting except for the fact that he knew famous musicians and was lucky enough to be associated with Dr. Drew. He was a hang-on as a musician and he's STILL a hang-on. Fair play to him----judging by his house, he does a lot better at his game than most other counselors. It's not a well paid profession.
