I heard Living Colour years ago at the Stone in San Francisco. It was amazing as always. Then I saw them open for the Rolling Stones "Bridges to Babylon" tour, 1997 in Oakland. So great.
Met Muzz Skillings and William Calhoun walking on Queen St in Toronto in the late 80s on a summer day and told them that I loved Vivid and was going to be in attendence at there upcoming show later that evening and was very excited to see them live. They promised it would be a whole new dimension that the studio Album couldnt give me and said it would be loud !! Great guys who took the time to answer all my questions .....they didnt disappoint !! great show and band.
@@smwrbd Met them at Queen and Spadina near Steves Music store. They told me they were going to tape an interview at the City TV building and had some time to kill and wanted to check out Toronto......they were really great guys.
Doug Wimbish with the legendary and original blue Spector bass, then it turned orange. Amazing performance from the classic 'Stain' album. Pure perfection
I saw Vernon with "Spectrum Road" with Jack Bruce and Cindy Blackman Santana on drums. At Yoshi's Jazz Club in Oakland. A tribute to Tony Williams the great drummer. Then for encores Carlos came up from the audience and jammed. Two sets, two nights (!)🌙
About 25 years ago I saw Will and Doug with Vinx in a formation called 'Jungle Funk' at a Jazz Festival in Hungary. Now I'll have the chance to see the full Living Colour in Cologne in December this year! Exceptional people!🤩
@@kiju0923 1991/1992 was 90's and it it was still neon and bike shorts, look at axl rose in his the your illusion tour. These guys just wanted to fit into the seattle thing and theyre sound just doesnt vibe with that dark heroin atmosphere
This song suddenly popped in my head and when this song came out if they were awesome off the fucking shots they rock my ass off I said where is where the hell they go what happened to them let's find out
Hands down, this is one of the best band ever from any point of view.
30 years later and they still put on a great show!
Will Calhoun has the coolest polyrhythmic fills.
What a performance. A Brazilian from Rio, staying for a while in Bologne, watching this amazing show in August, 2022.

@@stevennorris7181 that seems to be the usual way they play it. I love the strut of the studio version but the live version is fierce too

So great.
One of the best bands from the 90's, looking forward to see them live on stage in The Netherlands once again, 1993 is too long ago ...
Carlos Santana was asked about Woodstock and he said- "oh, you mean last week?"
Time is a state of mind- an illusion. It's always NOW.
Stain is an awesome album

I saw them at the Rider University gym in 93.
@@QS-si3cq The pair of you...bless-ed people! :D
Vernon Reid has the coolest guitars
My favorite is his ESP from Vivid. The one with the swirls.

Steve Vai doesn't waste time with lower level talent.
That's why he was happy to play with Living Colour.
They are an incredibly talented band.
I know what you meant but the way you worded it says that you are conveying that Living Color is lower level talent. "CONTEXT MAN"
Amazing perfomance!!
Damn, what a performance!
The irony of him singing The Cult of Personality while the crowd reaches and stretches in the hopes of just getting to touch him one time
This is one of the most Underrated Bands Here, Cousin Figel
