Thanks for all the praise, Patrick! SO many guys on the watch forums told me it was ugly and that I shouldn't make it, but I loved it and so I went with it! My favorite bracelet to wear, hands down. GREAT suggestion about the polished sides! Maybe for the v.2!
Looking forward to it. Honestly, I love this bracelet... It’s off the watch now *only* because I need to review some other bracelets, but it’s my go to. Great work on this piece.
If you di something like this for a Samurai I am sooo on it. Even that little quibble about the fully brushed finish would be less of an issue with that watch.
Larry Bouligny It is a great looking bracelet!! I don't know why some people didn't like it... I saw that on SCWF, and I added a comment about the Hexad Oyster, my favorite bracelet!! The only reason I don't go for the Razorwire, is because I think it rattles like the jubilees. But I do love the biker look!! (Harley FatBoy owner here)
Received the Razorwire for my turtle 3 weeks ago and have been wearing it every day. This bracelet is magical, so smooth and flexible in all directions, zero hair pulling. More comfortable than any leather bracelet, Perlon or Silicon and you can swim with it. Looks great too. Sizing was easy, just lay a correctly sized bracelet flat and measure its length, calculate how many links have to be removed to get the Razor wire to the correct length so you get it right first try. This bracelet is a must have for Turtle or SKX owners.
Will be getting the Straight-End version of this for my Tuna. The only negative for me is the pin type adjustment; I'm too used to the screw link adjustment system.
Larry's bracelets and straps are fantastic. I've had the Razor Wire since it first became available. It doesn't pull your arm hairs, very comfortable because it's flexible like the jubilee. A bit of a brain teaser to size - I've a 6.5" wrist and took all the links out then added one back in. Looks awesome. I've also got Larry's waffle, tropic in 3 sizes and tyre tread strap.....well us guys don't really do jewellery so that's my excuse for having do many and I'm sticking to it.
I honestly don't own one because while I love it, I think it's too popular of a watch. But I like this bracelet so damn much, I may just have to order one.
MrElussive I stayed away from the Skx for years because I thought i t was too popular and didn't have updated features. Turned out everyone was right and I got hooked on seiko divers
When I first saw this bracelet on US website, I though it looked a little busy and....bikerish, if I could use that term. After actually seeing it on an SKX I really love it and will be adding it to my 009. Thanks for reviewing this. Sometimes it helps to see something like this in an actual application. Great video. Thanks Patrick.
You’re not hallucinating. That’s an actual, drilled lugged Seiko SKX. Hahaha, Terry from Toxic sent it in and a pal of his drilled it custom for easier strap changes.
It's definitely a cool looking bracelet! But, I'm curious about how it works on a wrist with a moderate amount of hair. I fear it might pinch the hairs. Any opinion on this?
Ahhh, such a smart move. Strictly went SKX on this one. I did a Z199 in both though. Absolutely love this bracelet. Let me know your thoughts when you get it in!
Thanks for the review! I have a 7.25" wrist as well and it looks like you took one link out, guessing from each side of the bracelet to get the fitment you wanted? I know you said in other comments you swapped in a strapcode clasp eventually but I'd prob make due w the one that comes w this bracelet. Basically any insight into sizing before trial and error w those finicky links wd be helpful. Random Rob just put up a video that's super helpful w understanding the inner link fitment though.. Just an FYI
Looks nicer than the standard skx, tho I prefer the stock Turtle bracelet (but I'll be changing my 775's to a super engineer as I like the chunky look) Good vid, helped me make my mind up. Cheers from Cambridge, England 👍💨
Hello Patrick since you own Vintage Seikos you might have an answer to my question, I have an SKX173 22mm lug and I will love to get one of this bracelets for it, based on your experienced do you think I can fit one of this bracelets on that particular watch ( from 2005 ) or an SKX033 that will be coming in the mail in a few days? thanks for you time to make this videos.
I certainly believe it will fit your 173, without issue. Uncertain on the 033. 🤔 Buy it for the SKX173 though, that’ll be a great match. Also, if you have any issues, Larry is great to help out.
*Perfectly* wild for me. The case was drilled by a friend of Terry’s (ToxicNatos). It was a custom job. I unfortunately don’t know his pal that well. Would love to have this done to every watch. The machine work is flawless.
Enjoyed the review! Might have to get one now. As you said, Super polarizing and makes a classic 009 look bada$$!! PS: I understand you like the guy for getting you his bracelet, but Don’t lie. NOBODY thinks bending hollow end links back to shape is okay lol
I own a lot of vintage watches, so I am use to hollow end links (and *actually* prefer them), haha. Secondly, I bought the bracelet. Thirdly... Watch my review on the H-Link bracelet he did, it had solid end links...
Thank you for this review! I stumbled upon it while searching for a Bracelet for my own SARB017..but I have been successful. Any suggestions as to where I could possibly find a bracelet for the SARB017? Looks like I need to buy an SKX to pair with this rather stunning Razor-wire Bracelet!
So, I bought an OEM SARB017 bracelet from Seiya Japan. Service and shipment were great, but the price was steep (roughly $160). StrapCode is one of the only groups that makes a bracelet (or two) for the SARB017 that I’m conscious of. I’m sure there are some other brands, but I’m not aware of any fitted bracelets other than those aforementioned.
It's really nice, I would like to have one. Could you please recommend a bracelet for sarb017 or consider make a video for it? BTW, could you also make a video about how to remove and install a bracelet? That will be really helpful, thanks anyway.
If this has the same clasp as the uncle seiko BoR, which it looks like, then I'm surprised that isn't a "bad/ugly" for you. Although overall I do believe and agree with you that uncle seiko products are quality and especially for the price I am sad that the clasp isn't of better quality. My clasp came to me hard to open and very sharp to the touch where it can almost cut me. This isn't going to deter me from continuing to buy uncle seiko products in the future but IMO there is a big quality difference between the bracelet links and the clasp. I'd be willing to pay more for a better clasp so I hope you see this message Larry! haha. Great review overall still though Pat! You got my wanting the razor wire even though I have the BoR and Z199 already
I’ve owned a few Uncle Seiko bracelets and honestly... I’ve gotten a new/different clasp every time, haha. Mine came out alright! Although, I have it on a different clasp now (more micro adjustment levels). I have a Z199 in for review. Haven’t gotten to it yet. Any thoughts?
that's fair. yea I figured I just got a bad pick out of the bunch which is understandable. ooo what clasp are you using if I may ask? bought a strapcode clasp only to find that it uses thicker spring bars and doesn't fit. Love the Z199. Overall aesthetic is so spot on with an SKX. Tapers drastically to 16mm which has honestly grown on me after initially being apprehensive to it. Love the clasp shape and size. It is a fold over keeping a slim profile and it has the most micro adjustments I've seen on a bracelet. If there is a bracelet that isn't coming off my SKX it is this one.
Huh, I bought a 20mm Strapcode model as well (two years ago)... I forget the model. I use the spring bars the bracelet came with. Works swell. Umm, it has five micro lvls and a tapered buckle atop the clasp (if that helps), I think it’s the next step up from their standard. Yeahhh, Z199 Is next up for my reviews, but I have a few other pieces to hit first.
Very nice bracelet indeed, I think I'll get the BOR bracelet first before this one, for the price of this razor it would of been nice if it had solid end links
I suppose. At around $90 there are a few alternative offerings for the SKX/Turtle that do offer SEL’s. I really don’t mind hollow end links here though. I’m sure this will be an upgrade further down the road.
i wish i'd known of this before. i bought a strapcode for my skx007 and the solid end links do not fit anywhere near flush, and the edge's are so sharp it's painful... this is a very cool bracelet. nice video Patrick
yeah, it"s frustrating cause it looks great and feels good overall. its really hard to get on the watch, and most people have told me they always have to file or sand the links to get them to fit. on mine it was tough to fit, but i got it, problem on mine is the end links stick a bit and yes the edges are sharp.
That's what I heard also about having to sand the edges down and stuff like that. That just seems like a lot of nonsense to do for a watch bracelet. Makes u wonder about other quality control things also, does to me anyways.
I was also curious about this bracelet. I was about to get this bracelet for my modded SKX, but at the same time it is a unique bracelet offering, it may be a little "out there".. Not saying it is an ugly bracelet, it is not, but, when I look at the watch it will be going on, and yes it is an SKX much like you have in this video, having that razor wire design so prominent seems to stick out in the fact there is nothing on the SKX that has such details.. there isn't anything quite so jagged and finely detailed on the SKX. So, overall, the design correlation between the bracelet and the SKX is not entirely cohesive. FYI, the reason I actually initially jumped at almost getting the razor wire bracelet was because it looked medieval, I think an adjective or metaphor you sort of commented on as well.. "looks like something out of a novel", And why I thought it would be a good look to my modded SKX is because I have named it my "Night King" mod. Yes, if you watch Game of Thrones, you will be familiar with this name. It looks like some bit of armor or texture on a medieval and semi-organic armor attire which seemed appropriate.. and it probably would be. Also, if you are familiar with Star Trek and Klingon costumes, it reminds me of something that would go along the back spine of their armor-plated costumes, too.. perhaps more so given the more outlandish update they've created in the recent Star Trek Discovery series on CBS. Anyways... I have to agree, the razor wire can actually look a bit rope-like in design & appearance.. as such, I can see how it can tie back to a nautical theme which works for a dive watch. BUT, I thought about it again and I came to the conclusion as what I wrote above.. just not certain there is any design element in the SKX that ties to such razor wire design.. IDK. It will require rewatching your video and pics online a few more times, maybe some Photoshop work, to completely evaluate whether this razor wire bracelet would fit my needs/wants or not. Going back to the design of the razor wire, I feel it is a unique play on a bracelet design some call the mesh link bracelet. See WatchGecko website for this design, I believe some Oris Chronoris watces with a bracelet option also has such a mesh link bracelet design.. Basically, the outer links are solid and wide pieces and the inner links are fine ones which consist of a combined total of 15 pieces (I believe). What Uncle Seiko looks like he has done is removed some of those fine smaller inner links and add a unique spacer at the start where the bracelet meets the lug ends so the fewer smaller links can tilt and angle inwards. The center is spaced with the bottom set of small links which are also angled inwards and it repeats all the way through. I think the only question I might have is because of the way it is designed, did you find the inner "razor" links pinch or pull at skin or hair? I can imagine that might be an issue, but since you didn't mention it as a bad point, it probably never happened. Anyways, thanks for getting a closer look at this unique Uncle Seiko offering. It does sucks no other watches can sport this bracelet. But, then again there's something kind of cool to have an exclusive designed bracelet for us Seiko fans.. just hope he expands to more compatible Seiko models.. which I'm sure he will eventually do.. I think additionally I've asked him if he can make more straight end link versions for his other bracelet offerings which he said he was working on.
Yeah, this design is sticking around. It’s a lot better in person, trust me. The ‘Nautical’ vibe is immediately present when on the wrist. So, to answer your question: nope, no pinching. I left out any note on that entirely because it was just not an issue. I mean, my wrist aren’t that hairy, so for someone else this may prove problematic; but it never caught on/or grip my skin. I get both the GoT and Trek vibe as well! It’s so otherworldly, it feels as though it was a prop piece from a SiFi Original set. Love it.
Looks great, thanks a lot, now Ive spent money on something watch related again, my wifes loves when I spent money on watch stuff... not ... Oh well, I look forward to receiving it!
It is and that’s totally fine. This show expresses only my opinions - aside from the two part reviews and comment section - which goes without saying. I just hate the monotony of it, seeing oyster link bracelets on everything. This is a welcome departure for me.
Take Time, w/Patrick Marlett that’s totally respectable lol. But I do get you, where it gets monotonous. I just wish these nice bracelets would be a bit more affordable lol
Tis. You’d be surprised. Not a single hair caught during my time with it. Also, extremely wearable due to the nature of the links. It just folds along your wrist.
Couldn't agree more. I can appreciate a quality oyster bracelet but the design to me is honestly boring, unoriginal, and overdone. That's why I personally prefer shark mesh or beads of rice. I think this one would be a bit far for me especially with the complicated sizing, but still super cool and super original.
I do love a good BoR myself. It’s just refreshing to see a new bracelet for one of my favorite watch series (SKX). It looks so sharp on the... Let’s just say the pun was intended there.
My number one problem with this is that I don't think it fits the SKX013, the main Seiko diver I'm considering right now, and that these kinds of cool designs aren't made for other watches. This is one of the nicest looking bracelets I've ever seen, and I don't usually like bracelets too much.
I’m certain that, if it sells well, Larry will expand the collection (as mentioned). I know he’s passionate about this model, so expect to see more of it.
I know. Does every consumer want to do that? Haha, likely not. I have a rotary tool/sandpaper/polish, may make a project of this. It’ll likely be time consuming however, to execute it well.
How would someone do this at home? I am about to order this bracelet and would like to polish the sides of the links. I've only seen it done with mops/fabric wheels on a rotary wheel using polishing compound. I have a dremel with some fabric wheels. Might be worth a shot. What do you think?
A lot of Orient owners would buy them .Uncle can't sell what he doesn't have ,a little engineering without altering his pins but ours,oh well. Straight ends.
Interesting design, might have to buy. Bought a uncle seiko president bracelet for my turtle and it's pretty great
If you di something like this for a Samurai I am sooo on it. Even that little quibble about the fully brushed finish would be less of an issue with that watch.
Larry Bouligny please keep coming up with more out of the box designs!!! You have a gift haha
Larry Bouligny
It is a great looking bracelet!! I don't know why some people didn't like it... I saw that on SCWF, and I added a comment about the Hexad Oyster, my favorite bracelet!!

Definitely not something I would like to wear but I admire the originality and the design so huge respect to the maker for making it
*Agreed*
I think I need this for my XKX007. Thanks for the tutorial!
These might be interesting on a Monster.
Larry's bracelets and straps are fantastic. I've had the Razor Wire since it first became available. It doesn't pull your arm hairs, very comfortable because it's flexible like the jubilee. Hahaha, it is a bit of a brain teaser. Suppose that makes it a ‘Positive’ note. I really do love the thing. I can’t wait to see what comes next.
Wait, there are watch people without a SKX or turtle? I think we need a fundraiser or something right?
HAHAHA! Right!? I thought there have been enough Mass Drops to accommodate those without a Seiko. Looks like we need to drop off a few more shipments.
The Horror.....😱 We need to fix that!!
Thank for the advice. I am just hoping they come out with this bracelet for the 3rd gen Seiko Monster, then I'll really be sold.
What does each link add to the length of the bracelet? Who drilled the lugs on your 009 case? That’s very cool.
Of course! I thought it was quite “bikerish” myself, but had a gut feeling it would be awesome in person. So glad I bought one.
I am definitely going to get one on order. Uncle makes some amazing Seiko bracelets. So cool to see a Seiko fan making Seiko gear.
Drilled lugs on a SKX, am I hallucinating 😍
The bracelet reminds me of the alien style from H.R Giger.
You’re not hallucinating. That’s an actual, drilled lugged Seiko SKX. Hahaha, Terry from Toxic sent it in and a pal of his drilled it custom for easier strap changes.
Take Time, w/Patrick Marlett I rewound a bunch of times trying to see if it was a Turtle! Very cool modification.
will that bracelet fit my SKX173 North American model? (early 2000 - 2009 model)
It's definitely a cool looking bracelet! But, I'm curious about how it works on a wrist with a moderate amount of hair. I fear it might pinch the hairs. Any opinion on this?
+Barry E You beat me to it! Nevertheless, I will still leave my comment.
So, my arms aren’t that hairy, but I can say that it was never a problem, haha.
I would love to see one for the Seiko Monster. Great review and Thanks for sharing.
Yeah I hope Larry should make this one for our seiko monster!
Thanks for review. Just ordered one with both end links for skx and turtle.
Ahhh, such a smart move. Strictly went SKX on this one. I did a Z199 in both though. Absolutely love this bracelet. Let me know your thoughts when you get it in!
This just jumped to the top of my must have list :D
It's definitely worth it if you like the SKX. Great pairing with that watch.
Just an FYI
No, officially I removed... four links, I believe. Not home right now to check, but I had links spare.
PS-Before the end of this month, there will be a sizing tutorial here on the Channel, so hold tight.
Looks nicer than the standard skx, tho I prefer the stock Turtle bracelet (but I'll be changing my 775's to a super engineer as I like the chunky look) Good vid, helped me make my mind up. Cheers from Cambridge, England 👍💨
Man... I hate the stock, Turtle bracelet, haha. I never put my Turtle on it. Normally I use an Erika’s Original, if anything. Cheers brother!
I want one! 20mm straight end! Coolest looking bracelet.
I bought a Z199 for my SKX and I’m now considering Larry’s BOR or the Razor-Wire. Which would you suggest?
Z199 is awesome... They're both great, but the Z bracelet pairs best with everything. The Razor bracelet is a more adventurous choice.
Take Time, w/Patrick Marlett Thanks, Pat. I’m gonna pick up a Razor-Wire!
There is a straight-end model and there's a Samurai version too mate!
Which model seiko is that?. This bracelet fit in seiko gmt 5
So, how did you get the drilled lugs? Also, this bracelet is a little too wild for me, I would prefer the Jubilee or president style bracelets.
*Perfectly* wild for me. The case was drilled by a friend of Terry’s (ToxicNatos). It was a custom job. I unfortunately don’t know his pal that well. Would love to have this done to every watch. The machine work is flawless.
That looks straight up badass
I couldn’t agree more.
Take Time, w/Patrick Marlett haaha just giving you a hard time
nice review, will it fit on the Seiko monster?
Thank you for this review! I stumbled upon it while searching for a Bracelet for my own SARB017..but I have been successful. Any suggestions as to where I could possibly find a bracelet for the SARB017? Looks like I need to buy an SKX to pair with this rather stunning Razor-wire Bracelet!

*Thank you!* Always happy to hear from a new subscriber. Be well and have a great weekend.
Would this fit an SRPB53?? The samurai
It's really nice, I would like to have one. Could you please recommend a bracelet for sarb017 or consider make a video for it?
BTW, could you also make a video about how to remove and install a bracelet? That will be really helpful, thanks anyway.
If you're subscribed, be on the lookout for *Tuesday's release.* I'll soon talk about the SARB017.
If this has the same clasp as the uncle seiko BoR, which it looks like, then I'm surprised that isn't a "bad/ugly" for you. I love all of Larrys bracelet, but when will he share the love to us skx013 guys? I know the marker is smaller but a boy can dream
The SKX013 gets little love in general, I hate to say. Hopefully it will get more attention soon.
real talk, how is it on a smaller wrist? (~6.5 inches)
A Seiko SKX *or* a Seiko SKX on this bracelet? Likely *awesome,* but it may feel as though it wears too large. To that, I’d advice the SKX013.
Does uncle Seiko have one for Seiko starlight saryo80? 85?
Great job on this video. I'm now a sub!
Thank you! Much appreciated.

Hahaha, I'm sorry about that... Don't want to get you in the dog house. It was worth it though!
Where is your former partner in the clock stock and barrel series?
I believe running a new show off the same, old Channel Page(?).
It would look good on my 7002
I respect the fact that you want something out of the usual
But I do prefer having an engineer bracelet on my timepieces
I think it’s just preference
It is and that’s totally fine. This show expresses only my opinions - aside from the two part reviews and comment section - which goes without saying. I just hate the monotony of it, seeing oyster link bracelets on everything. This is a welcome departure for me.
Take Time, w/Patrick Marlett that’s totally respectable lol. But I do get you, where it gets monotonous. I just wish these nice bracelets would be a bit more affordable lol
Very true. This whole hobby is rather demanding on the pocketbook. 😑⌚️
Has anyone tried to see if this fits the 5KX?
They are not compatible!
Would look good in a Versace watch. Like the 'Kai' type models.
I’m unfamiliar with that particular model. Larry ought to shop these out for that market. Do you own a Versace “Kai” (Type) model?
Looks comfortable! :)
Tis. You’d be surprised. Not a single hair caught during my time with it. Also, extremely wearable due to the nature of the links. It just folds along your wrist.
Sure looks that way! :) Thanks for replying!
Btw, did u get your lugs specially drilled or replace the entire case? Thanks in advance!
Lugs are drilled especially for this one. Custom job that a pal had done (this watch was donated to the show).
Wow! Cool! :)
It can fit on the SEIKO ssk’ssss ❤❤❤❤
Do like Milanese mesh
Yes
Couldn't agree more. I can appreciate a quality oyster bracelet but the design to me is honestly boring, unoriginal, and overdone. That's why I personally prefer shark mesh or beads of rice. I think this one would be a bit far for me especially with the complicated sizing, but still super cool and super original.
I do love a good BoR myself. It’s just refreshing to see a new bracelet for one of my favorite watch series (SKX). It looks so sharp on the... Let’s just say the pun was intended there.
It will be a while before I own a Seiko - and not one that will fit that bracelet
Very nice bracelet but i do imagine it grips the armhairs.
Good review, albeit a bit long. Easy to polish the ends of the links yourself.
@@DrzBrah what you have will work. Dremel, jewlers Rouge (green) & small polishing wheels will do a fine job.
@@TakeTimewPatrickMarlett it's very easy to do & you can get excellent results.
Will give it a try thank you
A lot of Orient owners would buy them .Uncle can't sell what he doesn't have ,a little engineering without altering his pins but ours,oh well. Straight ends.
Yeah, he is nearly a strictly "Seiko" guy though (it's in his name).
you lost me at "I like hollow end links"
I'll probably stick with my Super Oyster.. that really looks like a pain in the butt to size. and the look just isn't for me.
Wouldn't such a bracelet torture you: like rip the hairs out of your wrist?
Ouch! Ouch! Ouch!
Lloyd Garth No - definitely not a hair ripper - had mine since it first became available. Very comfortable.
Yup. No complaints at all.
Hollow end links.....
nahhhhhh
I wouldn't buy one.
Hideous looking thing imo
Don't like it
