Dana 20 Transfer Case Shift Linkage FIX for Jeep CJ | George's Linkage Kit Makes Shifting Easy Again

- The Dana 20 transfer case that came in 70s model CJs is a great transfer case, but has one common problem. The linkage setup wears out and can make it nearly impossible to shift. This was the case on both of my CJ5s, so I called up my buddy George to see if he had a solution. He said that I was in luck and that he had actually been working on a solution for a while now. He invited me over to the shop to check it all out. I was lucky enough to snag a prototype from him and will make another video getting it installed into the Jeep. This kit will be available this summer and will be for sale at Barney's Jeep Parts, Vintage Jeep Parts, Salvage Jeep Parts, and MidWest Willy's.

This is like sitting down with my Dad to work on one of our jeeps.. the sheer KNOWLEDGE George has about these things is amazing, and it's way more fun learning about it from a person.. would love to spend a day hanging out in your shop George!

Don't even know if I have an isue with this. But on a 79 CJ5, I'm sure I do. Installing the rear brake upgrade now. Got it from Barney's Jeep Parts. Great guy. I think I've found my new parts source.

Any update on public availability? I have this issue (hiway rattle is unnecesary, and in lieu of a real fix, I'm going to replace washers with plastic washers and grease the bejeesus out of that main shift arm.

Not at the moment but I’ll check with George and see if he has any ideas
My 76 J10 has a "U" pattern for the 4wd selection. The linkage is Jack up now and stuck in 4H . I need George's help lol

can you tell me where you got the brass bushings? Cant find that size anywhere. Vintage jeeps has been telling me they will be getting the whole kit in tomorrow. That was a month ago.

I will be needing the Dana 20 shifter repair kit along with a Dana 20 and BorgW T18 shifter knob with later pattern. Who will have these and when? Vintage Jeep parts? How do I send an email to George
Dana 20 shift linkages are waiting on a piece from the fab shop and then they should be ready to go. All of the retailers mentioned will carry the knobs and the linkages. Shoot me an email through my website. I am keeping a list of people to notify when the product is available.
