A gem chamlion is amazing. As someone who doesnt bkther to do briv automated gem farmjng this update really made my gem farm insane and i never went for 5 gem cards yet. I just go for 3 and call it a day
@tyredack yea. I'm sure she makes it insane. It's just too finicky for me to bother with. I don't prioritize gem farming like a lot of players do. I just like new adventures and variants and stuff. I did gem farm but I would eek out a low amount. Now it feels impactful with minimal effort put in. Buying feats for gems is so much easier. Especially the epic ones.

Yea it's great. I veen able to buy 2 50 grand feats since ellywick dropped. That usually took me half a week to farm one. Thellora provides a reasonable skip that doesn't require manipulation goo that I'm finally using. And getting ellywick to the 100 percent cap of gem farm is easy. Too often champions that do a lot of good things for speed formations or others require a lot of investment and manipulation.
I really love how they've been recently turning those benchwarmers into actual high tier champions. Ellywick feels like a MUST for gem farming teams now. But funnily enough they also just turn other good champions into stupid champs. Strongheart used to be S-tier in my books for those season events. Now they changed his buff of adding +3 completion into dropping event tokens. That's really sad. Strongheart used to be awesome, but now I don't care about him no more, since they (pretty much) removed the seasonal events. Also a few questions for ya Tyredack, if you don't mind. 1. Your Ellywicks 1 gem card gives you 100% gem drop increase. How high does her corresponding item have to be (I know there is also a feat for 40% increase), to reach 100% for one card? 2. Is it possible that you could go over non-scripted gem farming again with a full in-depth explanation as to how? Feels like too much has changed recently. 3. Also damn you for getting me into FF again! :) Started playing through the pixel remasters recently. Finished 1, 2 is up next. What's your favorite ff starting from 1-10 and what's your overall all time fave ff? Also great video as always :)
It is nice to see them bump some of them up for sure! And yeah, it's unfortunate the loss of Seasons had such a big impact on him. 1 - For me, with the Feat and an Epic Shiny for it, the ilvl required was 775. For everything else, pulled from the discord... "Ellywick's slot 2 item can increase the amount of gems earned to 100% per card at an item level of 1287 dull / 775 shiny / 519 GE with the 40% feat. (Or 2001 dull / 1251 shiny / 876 GE without the feat.)" 2 - It's possible I'll get to covering that at some point, but in the meantime as I don't even have that on the docket for myself, speaking of the discord, I might check in the for the time being. Or perhaps check out Lediath on his stream, I know he goes over that a lot. 3 - I'll gladly take full responsibility with pride, as I see that as an all-around win! And that's a tough question. It's always hard for me to pick firm favorites, but 7 and 10 have a special place in my heart (might just be nostalgia, though). I can't think of one in the hard 1-10 line that I dislike, though.
@@tyredack I'd be really happy if you would go over gem farming whenever it feels right for you :) also I like your choice of fave ff games. FF10 is my personal fave of all time, followed by FF8. Somehow FF7 feels a bit overrated imo. But FF7 has without a doubt the most memorable protagonists/antagonists. I'd put FF7 as 3rd fave game only bcuz of Zack!

I hoped they would tone down her randomness... Oh, well... Also, the feats that stop roaming familiars from triggering ultimates should be baseline. Or at least easier to obtain.
I think they did tone it down, but it can still be a bit of a hassle for sure. At least we can control the rerolls instead of relying on area progression and being locked in.
Yeah, her Gem Card stacking is quite noticeable now (and was still good before). She'll probably be rising in the ranks now that I've had time with her and she's been fixed.
I like how they keep finding new ways to buff gem farming even with the roster being so well developed already. One day I’ll actually be able to do it properly once I get 4 jump… I’m at around 2.08 now :/
Eh I say screw it unless you are scripting. You can still run Roots of Loomlurch in witch light without briv at all and make 100-400k gems a day. It's also less likely to break and makes full use of thellora and nothing breaks when units get buffs and you can open any chest you want lol

When I get to the point where leaving the game gem farming 24/7 is the only thing left to do until I’m strong enough to beat lore variants, I will just stop playing until new champions are released. Running through the exact same stage thousands of times for gems is not fun lol At least Ellywick will reduce the repetitiveness of it by a large margin!
Once you build to 5, you keep that hand. Her ultimate will remove all of them. Then you build them back up. So you choose when to dump them if you get a bad hand with her ult.
Not really. Even fully stacked she is only going e22. Asterion can reach that quite easy. She's good for getting more gems in variants and that's about it.
I'm talking about Gold Find bonuses, not their damage bonuses. In regard to Gold Find, at equal item level (and even in my case ~700-800 Elly vs ~1400 Astarian, and Elly scales even better than him for GF anyway), as long as you have the proper cards, she absolutely has more Gold Find overall than Astarian.
It seems she is performing quite well for gem farming, but only really if you are scripting. People who do modron Briv stacking can't deal with flame cards messing with their carefully calculated enemy damage numbers. For scripting, though, there is already an addon to for Ellywick card management. It is a little odd that they are giving such a windfall to scripters when the devs apparently dislike that people do it. Then again, I think they have also said they dislike gem farming in general so meh. Also, CNE have had some layoffs and pay decreases which is obviously sad but also pretty concerning for the future of the game. It seems they are still having trouble finding revenue that replaces the season related purchases. Hopefully selling gem boons like they are now will help.
Seasons destroyed their income, $140 worth of stuff for $10 so nothing else really sold, now they are struggling to figure out a way to get people to spend but the boon system is trash. Utter garbage. Why? Cause it's rng reliant. I wanted a polymorph tatanya skin and I would have bought it week 1 or a couple days into week 2 but not payday week 3. Also spending $26 on a pack gets you 1 boon, but spending 30 on 5 GEs gets you literally nothing. I suggested months ago that they should make boons point related and after you trigger it it's active somewhere between 21-60 days. Last day decision to get La'Zael Masquerade set doesn't feel like a gut punch. Lucky for them Dark Valentine Wild offer rolled so they got that $10.
I got around the knight cards randomising the buff by putting her in the back rank, thus nullifying it. However, there's still too much randomness of other things like gold find. I spent a couple hours tinkering with Ellywick in my my modron core briv farm but never got it to run reliably.

It's frankly surprising how they built a champion to buff gem farming, which further decreases any real benefit to spend money. With adding her to my 9J gem farm formation I'm getting around 180,000 gems/hour. I decided to pop a gem-hunter potion and get around 265,000 gems/hour. Just silly numbers, and apparently the gem piece is somewhat bugged in terms of when re-rolls and worth it and cards and such.
Do people actually buy gems with real money? I would assume they spend it on otherwise unavailable things like familiars or golden epics. If people don't spend money gems, then it doesn't really affect profits. And since CNE appears to be OK with people using scripts to gem farm, I don't think they value gems that highly.

Does her cards auto get removed or how do you remove cards or keep the cards you want?
Once you build to 5, you keep that hand. Her ultimate will remove all of them. Then you build them back up. So you choose when to dump them if you get a bad hand with her ult.
And I've just invested in Omin as best gold champion... And Elly just wipes him with just 4 moon cards...
She is indeed a powerful flat gold find buffer. Having that bit of better scaling through Deck of Many Things goes a long way.

Almost certainly not, though things can vary based on your item levels as always. She is mostly good for gem farming.
