I bought a limited tundra crew max few months ago TRD OR 4x4 that came with the 3inch trd lift from the factory and I can say it’s my favorite truck that I’ve owned in 30years , the main bearing issues has been resolved like you mentioned parts were superseded as of January of 2024 . CONGRATS on the Tundra it’s an EXCELLENT truck !

I figure by the time I get to looking at trucks again. The tundra will probably be the best one on the market. Even if it is the so-called worst right now, and I don't think it's the worst, but I know it's had some issues. who knows?Maybe they'll introduce new engine options for the tundra all while perfecting the current powertrains
I am hoping for it to be very solid by 2027 or 2028. Lots I loke about the new one, but what will keep me from getting it when I can afford it is the possibly still sketchy engine....and the giant front end. If the engine looks good though, I can overlook the looks and even so mods to change it if needed.

Yes they fixed the issue causing engine failure. The problem was the main bearings. That has been updated with new main bearings and now tundras manufactured part April 2024 are solid
Let's be transparent, you're going through these trucks for relevance of your channel (like other Tubers). I'm sure you'll swap it out again, soon. etc. Good luck and congrats on joining the rest of us with TRD ORP!
This is not an uncommon approach for Toyota. This is nothing new. I don't know why everybody's acting like it's new, like a Toyota. A new Toyota will come out. It will have issues and they will keep keep making it better until you can't make it any better.
