Kevin Harvick became my new driver the moment he won at Atlanta. Love ya too Jr. you two were the reasons I fell In love with NASCAR and gave me plenty to talk with my Grandad and my uncles about for years. You two are legends in my eyes and deserve a spot in the NASCAR HALL OF FAME!!! 🤘🏻😎💜🏁
I'm not even a big NASCAR fan, but Dale Jr. comes across as so down to earth, personable, and even vulnerable at times that these episodes are must watch for me. He and Mike are really doing a great job showing the humanity of the drivers.
The fact that so many drivers have stepped out of the cars yet are staying heavily involved in the sport to help improve it says volumes about these guys. Mega cudos for staying involved and not just walking away. I know some drivers have and that is 100% ok. They have their reasons but we have so many who are staying involved.

I really hope Harvick becomes a yearly figure here, and not just for selfish reasons, but because the conversation between these two top tier champions and friends is just so enjoyable. Amazing insight, and a wonderful listen.
Love both of you! From watching you grow up, mature, racing to become fathers and then retiring! I will miss you racing and look forward to see you in the booth!
Harvick should be considered as one of the many people who sits in Mike’s seat moving forward. Thank you for what you have done for this sport I have loved for 50 years. Wishing you and your family many blessings in the future.
I think it's safe to say that Kevin Harvick is the last of the true NASCAR legends. Not to mention the man whose car he drove, but the guys he ran with....Gordon, Stewart, the Labontes, Elliott, Jarrett, Martin, the Burtons, the Busch's, just to name a few...he is the last of NASCAR'S last golden age.
Thank you so much for posting this full episode on RUclips. It was awesome to watch the full episode. Hope that you will upload more full episode rather then just Parr of one. I love watching these videos.
Best show yet. Everybody had fun.mike you must have been aw listening to all these great stories. Jr asked all the right questions with Kevin giving good and right to the point answers. This podcast was a lot of fun listening to. Thanks Jr for this. Thanks to the editors for not segmenting this podcast. This is the way it should always be. 3EVER Kevin Harvick you will be missed on the track.
I'd like to thank you , Kevin for putting the number I identify with into the list of championship. The number four was buried in the Morgan-Mcclure bog with no way to reach it. I grew up having the number four in every sport I tried out for (yes, I had asked for it later, but it was Little League, Pop Warner, running, whatever, from the start) I was really glad to have a known driver with my number, actually winning races. Thank You so much. Your championship put some air into my shirts.
The “Morgan-McClure bog”? ur talking about 2001/02 forward? cus irregardless of championships the kodak #4 was iconic in the 90’s.. and is still iconic to this day… Ernie Irvan? Sterling Marlin? Three Daytona 500s? including two of those back-to-back.. 14 cup wins? also the #4 ran with Kasey Kahne for 2011 for Red Bull.. Stewart Haas didn’t get the #4 from MMM. now I do understand what ur saying about Harvick bringing that number a championship but lets put some respect on Morgan-McClure Motorsports c’mon
Kevin and Dale were the 2 NASCAR drivers that Papyrus used for testing of NASCAR Racing 4, which was the first version of the game where the tires could leave the ground. It was so cool to be a game testers knowing those guys would be able to contribute. I very vividly remember Dale posting in the testing forum...."I used my Dover setup and the car felt just the same."
Nascar has been a part of my life every wkend and more since I was a kid ....I'm 58 now....All of you are a part of my family...I feel similar emotions with all of you guys...I never wanna see anybody go....I am a Dale Sr. fan...I still do get emotional at times thinking back of him...I love all you guys...Happy retirement Harvick even though we will see you every wk on the TV deal...You will be great at that jus like Dale Jr. has become 1 of the best...
To you Kevin Harvick I am always going to remember you and hope you have a great time doing everything you do now that you are retired 😢but remember that I am so ready to see you in the booth coming February 18th ...#29,4 ever❤️great job Jr ❤
Harvick became my favorite in the late 2000’s I followed him through to SHR and man I’m so happy for him. This sport is in good hands so long as he’s behind the scenes trying to help elevate the sport.
Congratulations Kevin harvick on retiring looking forward to so much more from you hey guys it's funny you mentioned something about who you don't like and then the experiences of growing up around them now with your kids Now up north we have a thing which you guys have to which is travel sports and we run a company that deals with that and watching the kids the parents their relationships people that you knew from the past now talking and you know watching Kyle Busch's Braxton's racing on RUclips and now watching harvick's kid racing you'll end up on the track a lot together during those times and it's funny because your relationship from being on the track not liking each other turns into a good friendship because your kids are competing with each other and might end up one day both beyond Junior Motorsports racing who knows Great work guys Mike Davis sad you're not going to be doing this anymore I always think you bring such a unique perspective from things for the non-driver who's helping out
Reinventing your life and being on the road in retirement. Is something so many Americans have done. Buying a motorhome you can afford and operate. Getting rid of all your stuff in a big house. It took us 5 years to downsize to a point where we didn't need a storage. Good luck, be patient, enjoy traveling with friends and family. Happy retirement...
Such an incredible driver and person, so glad Kevin has been my driver since 2001. not sure how i'm gonna feel about next year, not seeing him on the track, but i'll figure it out. Kevin, thanks so much for being so great for so long. I went to my first race ever this year because you were gonna not be there next year. and i chose Talladega, a place that is bigger than life, so great to see the drag race to the end with Blaney. so amazing. thanks for being you, good luck from here on out!!!!!
Thank you for all the years especially at the beginning of your cup career we all know how hard it was to step in may your next chapter of your life be great love ya harvick
No what all of you guys and kids do I hope that you all do it safely I think no matter who any of us are as fans of who ever we all want the same thing we all want all of you to be safe and to live a long and happy life
While these guys seem to be real in what they are saying are still on a different level than the usual Saturday night racing. Their struggles are different and I love the chatting and wish them all the luck to them and their family! Go Dirty Mo!
Just really good stuff. I woke up in the middle of the night and started watching this, thinking it would be 20 minutes long, or something like that. I stayed up and watched every second..... I just wanted to thank both of you for the memories and, well.....for everything.
I loved the part where they talked about the #29 for the All-Star race coming together. Kevin mentioned Chocolate Myers. A few 8 or 10 years ago my parents and I went to RCR for a tour when they visited me in Greensboro. At the end of the tour CM had walked in the area. I said "Hey Chocolate. How are you doing?" The man spoke to me like I was an old friend. Couldn't have been a nicer guy. Later, my Mom asked me how I knew him. When I told her that was the first time I'd ever met him she almost didn't believe me. I'll always be a fan of Chocolate Myers (and Kevin Harvick).
Dale Jr. download suggestion - I would love to hear about how his dad's song "Hard Charger" from the early 1980s came to be. How did that start and were other songs presented to him. I know he was in a Brooks and Dunn video later on. It would just be fun to hear about how he got involved with those music opportunities.
I just noticed that Dale, Mike, and Kevin all have glasses on, I've got my glasses too. I guess it's a sign that we are all getting older, LOL. All of you keep up the good work. DDDDDOUG
You have a combination of the old system and the new points system so that you have two championships with the possibility of one driver winning both or it could be won by two different drivers. You just adjust the points system so that both are accounted for.
Kevin, you were always top dog. You drove like a test pilot. You were picked to be Dale Earnhardt protégé. You’ve never got to run a lap with him. Had you equipment been up to the standards? Dale Earnhardt demanded you could’ve won five championships by now I’m retiring too. Enjoy your new life.
We as fans hoped NASCAR was gonna "take a big swing at it" with the Phoenix test, but it sounds like they really didn't. Hey, but they tested mufflers!!
Hate to see the changing of the guard. Gonna miss him driving; I see his team is already starting to go their separate ways--Tim Fedewa to Ryan Blaney. I'll watch the Daytona 500 to see how KH does; after that I don't know.
The task of replacing THE legend, standing up for himself when the team and sponsors wanted him to be Dale Earnhardt, somehow exceeding his own expectations, and retired gracefully as a legend who was capable of winning races until he took his final checkered flag. Racing isn't going to be the same without him.
Kevin my advice is when you put in your motorhome with your family...be sure to carry a gun or 2 or 3 to protect your family if necessary it's always better safe than sorry so Carry you a gun
In reference to the playoffs, why does Nascar not rotate the championship track every year? Why is Phoenix the track? Why not give Nascar fans that live in other areas opportunities to see a championship race! I think it would be cool to see a Pocono, Bristol, Daytona etc. Championship Race. Can you start the conversation or maybe explain why Phoenix is the track last race of the year, year after year?
I wish JR would have asked Kevin about the alleged Dale sr #3 Throwback Harvick was gonna run in the 2004 Bud Shootout! I just wanna know if it was real because to me that was Harvick's Coolest scheme was the gen 4 Goodwrench scheme!
1:27:00 You couldn’t replace Harvick. when he came to SHR they took it to a new level that 4 car was the team it’s been peanuts after he left. Maybe if they could have got a couple big names but… I just knew they wouldn’t survive when he left.
So glad that Dale and Harvick on back on good terms.
When did they did not get along?

The opposite of Harvick
Please, let's have KH and JR together multiple times during the season to chat about what's going on with CARS and NASCAR in general!
