- A quick tour of the Works Bell SSTS steering wheel controls relocate bracket for the ZC6/ZN6 Subaru BRZ and Toyota 86 late-models/kouki (applied models E-H) .
Works Bell Japan is known for their Rapfix II quick release for aftermarket steering wheels, but in the Toyota 86 and Subaru BRZ it deletes the OEM steering wheel controls for the radio volume, hands-free phone controls, the in-dash controls and eliminates the ACC (Automatic cruise control) switch.
This switch bracket lets you move these controls from the OEM steering wheel to a bracket on the hub. Works Bell sells this kit specifically for the standard hub boss, but it also works with the short boss and the Rapfix II quick release.
Complete parts list to re-create this setup:
Works Bell Rapfix II quick release: 070223
*1 Works Bell Short boss for Rapfix: 540S
Works Bell Switch Kit SSTS: 542SSTS
✝ Works Bell Extension Harness & ACC (Auto-cruise control) kit: 104100
Works Bell U-Turn Harness Resistor for SRS Airbag: 010021 (Male)
MOMO Steering Wheel Model 78: R1909/33L
* Note: The Works Bell Short boss includes a single SRS airbag resistor, but the ZN6/ZC6 has two SRS airbag plugs, so you'll need to buy part #010021 to have resistors for both plugs.
✝ Note: you'll actually re-use your OEM steering wheel accessory wiring harness, and only need the hardware from the Extension Harness Kit to mount the ACC switch to the SSTS bracket. The Works Bell harness doesn't fit USDM switches.
God bless you for putting all the parts you used at the end.
That’s rad. I wish I got this instead haha
Are u able to use any quick realse for the gr
Is it possible to run the SSTS kit combined with the Works Bell Standard boss without a quick release or Rapfix Flip? Also you only need the Works Bell Extension Harness & ACC if you are running a Short boss but you don't need it for the standard right?
yes, i believe that should work with the standard boss w/o the quick release. You could possible make it work without the extension harness, but the wires would be tight and might pull out over time. The harness isn't very expensive.
Your steering wheel diameter is 350mm? Heard it can’t work with diameter smaller than that
@kaikiatyeo this wheel is 350mm, but it should work on 330mm. The controls are on an adjustable slider. You can move them to fit the narrower opening.
@@brz_typera how much room is there between the relocated switches and the steering wheel (depth)? The way you have the controls on the slider (STS), how much play is there to "shrink" (move them closer to the column)? I'm wondering with a 330mm, whether your fingers will constantly hit the relocated controls due to the smaller wheel diameter.
@@Ev0o9 I ran a 330mm last year and it worked great. I’ve since switched to 350 mm but only because it makes steering easier.
You think this will work with 2022 brz?
I'm fairly confident the hardware is all compatible, just not sure about the wiring harness adapter. You should check with Works Bell
Where did you order this?

Does it work with NRG ?
NRG is a brand of many products, you'll need to be more specific.
@@brz_typera Sorry, i mean NRG 2.0
It looks quite similar to the Rapfix II
@@subarushubaduck489 the switch bracket is fairly standalone, and doesn't directly interface with the Rapfix II other than the drill holes on the steering wheel. So as long as the NRG holes are the same layout as the works bell Rapfix II, then I think it should work 👍.
