Your build is my inspiration for my ej8 build except mine is gonna be semi built boosted single cam! I want the same quality in my build as you have in yours. Fresh hardware all around, tuck and shave, etc... Keep going!!!!
Childstar and HSG and the best honda channels on RUclips I like childstar bc of his use of great quality parts and shows that any 1 can build a great car and u don't have to run eBay parts he is the reason I started buying k tuned and true spoon and mugan parts. Just got my imported mugan itr rims in and there mint.
Looks good man. I also looked at the Works Bell products when I was watching Emerald Tuning's RSX videos, but they are a bit pricey. Do you think I would still have a quality setup if I went with a Momo hub and wheel on my RSX? Thanks, love the videos.
Childstar Thanks for your input. I agree with you about NRG, I mentioned their poor quality of quick releases and how it's a safety risk, so I wouldn't put one on my car. And I had a couple of people berate me about how I was wrong, I don't understand why people defend these knockoff brands so much, lol.
+airinvasion123 they have horn connections that you have to make work. I compared the horn connections from the Checkerd sports boss to the works bell boss. And I don't recall nrg coming with an airbag bypass either like the works bell does. And there's still play in the steering with nrg which is far more important than the horn
Hi Childstar, great video! I hope you can help me with a key question: I will go with the Rapfix II QR - do you know if I can use the NRG quick lock version 2? Are they compatible? Thanks!!
Oh man I wish I had a for sure answer but ive never tried to mate the two companies together. I do know nrg tries to replicate WorksBell parts so it's a possibility. Sorry I'm unsure
Read through the comments seeing if the question was asked by anyone else but im looking into getting a momo wheel and was curious what wheel size you went with. The 320 or 350mm, cheers
I have two wheels, my spoon is 350 and my other wheel is a 320. I like them both. The 350 is nicer for causal driving, and I prefer the smaller wheel for cornering. Just feels better for me personally.
Thanks for the reply! The ed6 civic wheel is about 365 so 350 will still be an improvement sizewise but i think the 350 momo wheel looks better than the 320. Keep up the content just subscribed
What's up Childstar, I've been trying to find the same or something similar to your quick release. If you don't mind me asking. Where did you get yours from? Thanks in advance.
+Long Xiong like I said in the video, it's a discontinue part. You can no longer but these and most people didn't know about them so there aren't many around for sale anywhere. It's been discontinued for several years
+Virux yes you can use a short boss with the rapfix quick release. My quick release is what is discontinued, the QRS from works bell. The bosses are still available.
Yes it does. Works bell allows for everything to be retained. The clock spring, proper horn button functionality, and even OEM distance from the driver based on the hub length you choose.
+watchphonerayvin my car is a '97, so yes, anything I have, you can have. The dash setup is a RARE jdm navigation unit. They are pretty damn hard to come by. So good luck on that one. Any company that imports parts might be able to find one like hmotorsonline.com or ICB motorsports. But most do not have one or they don't have all the wiring necessary to make it work. My normal head unit that's in my car is down by my shifter and it just plays off of MP3's hidden behind the faceplate from a USB connection. Just a simple Sony head unit.
+Luis Delgado no it's not a TL dash. It's a civic one. Its just a rare navigation system that apparently hardly anyone knows about. It's all oem honda optional parts.
just jumped in the car seen...at the time 4yrs ago i was building my DA the one on my pg is not it...my car is in the paint and my motor is put up im from houston too im going to start going to the meets with go pro and sauce up my you tube and reviews on what i did i have a built b18 tho turbo my tuners are assa racing have you herd of them
It should be in the video description which will have the name of the music. Click the description and it'll be.there. if it isn't there, then I don't know. I don't have the music memorized
Childstar Sexy music and slowmo while removing and putting the hub. I thought it was done on purpose to add a touch of comedy. Now I've made myself look stupid haha!
Childstar that's not bad at all. The solder on the back of the hub for the horns continues to break so I need a new set up. I'll be getting this one if I can find it.
+michael nguyen .... Uhmm, you might want to try Google. No offense, but there's a different "part number" for almost each and every chassis and I don't even know what chassis you're referring to. Plus you can't just buy it based on a part number because they use model numbers to distinguish which car it fits on. www.worksbell.co.jp/en/products/boss/index.htm here's WorksBell page, and if you were to buy it, I would suggest you go through evasive motorsports. This would've been much easier to just google works bell steering wheel standard hub. Hope this helps.
Childstar No bro i need your one, the one in this video. I buy it straight for japan from works bell them selves. I got the rapfix2 quick releases and short boss kit for my ef8, since they didnt make a short boss kit for my crx i had to buy the 92-95 eg/ 94+ Integra non srs. It works and fits just fine except the boss cover is too short. Ive bought 2 others long boss kits already just for the cover itself but it too turned out to be wrong hence im asking you becoz just by seeing it i can tell its the correct one i need! Thought you may be about to help me real quick but dw about it, i'll find it out myself.
+michael nguyen I DONT HAVE A PART NUMBER TO GIVE YOU. I tried to help you. I didn't buy mine with a part number, so how would I be able to give you a part number to use?
Childstar dude, if you told me that from the beginning instead of brushing me off to Google then we wouldn't be here, how am i meant to know that you bought it 2nd hand and dont have the original box for it which all works bell boss kits have part numbers on? Even after that misunderstanding you get annoyed with me for asking? Ive always enjoyed your content and always wondered why your channel is not blowned up like it deserves but i see now, anyways im sorry for this and good luck bro.
+michael nguyen .....i did tell you that and I told you how they are listed which was NOT A PART NUMBER. I don't brush people off. Might want to realize how much I help people before trying to come at me sideways
I have a Rapfix II as well. But unfortunately I dont know of a slimmer quick release. The QRS was the only one they made slim and it's hard to find anyone selling one. Other option if you're looking for more space , is to run the works bell short hub
The works bell QRS i have was only made my works bell. No other company makes anything close to it. And unfortunately, the QRS system is a discontinued rare product. So its even hard finding someone willing to let it go.
where you plan on going.. not being a stalker I live near Austin and it really is hard to find mature Honda owners.. thats one of the main reason I stopped going to car meets.. either stick with hondas and deal with the crowd or change the car you own just to fit in with the people who do accept you

sounds dope dude!
+Childstar I found your HT build thread last night. Your build is fucking insane. Gives me so much inspiration
+TJ thank you man!
Childstar do you have the part number for that hub see if I could research to find one
+Jay Capo no I don't. You can find them on evasive motorsports. They are a vendor of works bell products
Childstar and HSG and the best honda channels on RUclips I like childstar bc of his use of great quality parts and shows that any 1 can build a great car and u don't have to run eBay parts he is the reason I started buying k tuned and true spoon and mugan parts. Thanks I've been waiting for your post/encouragement all week!
Ive been needing encouragement myself haha. It's been tough lately.
Cool video! That shirt bro I see you're into fitness too. That's what's up! Great minds think alike!
+ApexRacer GT3 definitely dude! Thanks for watching
Nice quick release, never seen one like that before
Looks good man. I also looked at the Works Bell products when I was watching Emerald Tuning's RSX videos, but they are a bit pricey. Do you think I would still have a quality setup if I went with a Momo hub and wheel on my RSX? Thanks, love the videos.
+MishoMods momo is quality as well. The worse product in the group is the quick releases from nrg. The hub/bosses are typically pretty decent
Childstar Thanks for your input. I agree with you about NRG, I mentioned their poor quality of quick releases and how it's a safety risk, so I wouldn't put one on my car. And I had a couple of people berate me about how I was wrong, I don't understand why people defend these knockoff brands so much, lol.
the NRG hubs do have horn connections mine hooked up and works flawlessly.
+airinvasion123 they have horn connections that you have to make work. I compared the horn connections from the Checkerd sports boss to the works bell boss.
And I don't recall nrg coming with an airbag bypass either like the works bell does. And there's still play in the steering with nrg which is far more important than the horn

Authentic parts FTW!!

+Long Xiong like I said in the video, it's a discontinue part. You can no longer but these and most people didn't know about them so there aren't many around for sale anywhere. It's been discontinued for several years
Yeah but what else is out there, since you don't recommend NRG?
So, we could still do the short boss and Rapfix II? It's just yours that's discontinued, what is it?
+Virux yes you can use a short boss with the rapfix quick release. My quick release is what is discontinued, the QRS from works bell. The bosses are still available.
+Virux asr, circuit hero, works bell, and others I can't think of off the top of my head. Nrg is very popular from marketing and the cheap prices.
nice, mine is stock need to get one for my 92 si hatch, what would you recommend.
+Jose Rotary works bell short boss with a works bell rapfix II quick release.
Looks good Kerry.
Do works bell hub allows for installation with original clock spring?
Yes it does. Works bell allows for everything to be retained. The clock spring, proper horn button functionality, and even OEM distance from the driver based on the hub length you choose.
Childstar Thanks! I couldn’t find this info. Decision was made.
Was curious about the cd player set up i have a 97civic hatch and was wondering if it can fit it and where can i get one.

Do you still have the works bell qrs setup? If you have a different setup would you be willing to sell the quick release?
Yes I'm still using my QRS. Doubt I'll ever be taking that off. It's too rare
I got one for sale
new subscriber! quick question. what center dash is that?
looks like a TL
+Luis Delgado no it's not a TL dash. It's a civic one. Its just a rare navigation system that apparently hardly anyone knows about. It's all oem honda optional parts.
I use a vms boss/qr and it's honestly way better feeling and quality then a nrg too. Combo was $110 vs $200+
+Sabertooth_814 good quality stuff
I was wondering if i just buy a "short boss rapfix" can i just bolt on the quick release or is short boss made for quick tilt only
Yes you can still bolt on a quick release with the short boss as well. They use the same bolt pattern
@@ksisjdm spoon steering wheel will bolt onto worksbell quick release right?
Yes that's literally what I have. So yup, no worries. It'll fit
lol dam neighbors. Great vid, looks alot cleaner

nope, i've never heard of them
Would you get rid of the checkrd sport boss ?
+eg2luv nope. A little too hard to come by and not too many people have it. Gotta hold onto this.
Nice , I just put a worksbell rapfix gtc on my gsr the quality makes you forget the price tag lol
+redek1503 exactly. You definitely get what you pay for
1.45 music?
Should be down in the video description
@@ksisjdm What is the name of the music?

@@ksisjdm thanks you.
What kind of motor mount you using for your k-swap?
+Don Pros Hasport ekk2 70a bushings
What kind of center console is that? With screen.
OEM optional navigation unit from a rhd civic
What quick relase piece is that?
It's a discontinued works bell QRS mated to a checkerd sports boss
I lol'ed at the music+slo mo! Good one Child!
+jdmfreak22 what's funny about the slow motion?
Childstar Sexy music and slowmo while removing and putting the hub. I thought it was done on purpose to add a touch of comedy. Now I've made myself look stupid haha!
Mmm yeah.. we're gonna install this steering stuff now gurl.
I liked it haha good lil' instrumental and clean install procedure.
1.45 music?
would you consider selling the QRS now ?
No. I don't want to sell something I still use that's also really rare and no longer can be purchased.
Got one for sale
How much was this setup? My entire nrg setup was $350
+Nic Laughlin I believe it was around the same price total. It's been awhile. I've owned both for a long time. Maybe slightly more but not much.
Childstar that's not bad at all. The solder on the back of the hub for the horns continues to break so I need a new set up. I'll be getting this one if I can find it.
Q: is it dual height?
+Don Pros its ekk2....ALL ekk2 is dual height. Yes.
