I love all your crafts I use a lot stuff I already have at home like jar's cans and glue and cardboard. Left over fabric from t shirts keep on crafting.

I didn't think of this idea until today when I watched you. I'm a crafter without a cricut machine. After today I'm determined I don't need one. Just my creative brain and some fine pair of scissors. The hype is on but I'm the Teflon. Thank you for the idea. Now I can run my senior brain with a hundred more.
I have used the DT vinyl many times in my Cricut machine..I actually use the same mat and set it aside for this material..you just need to make sure you select washi tape as the material selection..it works great and has saved me so much money.

I do the same. Keep a separate mat for my DT vinyl and use the washi tape setting. I have ,made many projects. The DT vinyl is not good for small wording or thin lines.
I wish my brain was creative like yours 🤣thank you for all these ideas. I work at dollar tree and always wanted to use some of these pretty vinyls but have no machine so I always passed on them. No more of that!!!

I used the black sparkly vinyl on the wood haunted house at Halloween, then glued lights on the back to shine through the windows. It was so cute!
My Mom always slept on a satin pillowcase. Back in the 1970's it was common for women to get their hair done, (washed, set(curlers), styled, and cut & colored as needed), once a week. The satin pillowcase was a must to preserve the integrity of the style. Used a ton of hair spray too
What great ideas Katelyn! I don't have a Cricut but I have a lot of the Dollar Tree vinyl. I am a scrapbooker & I use them with my punches to make my own "stickers". It works well. I never in a million years would have thought to use them the way you have. Thanks for sharing!

So happy you showed projects for those of us that don't have a cricket...I used the black wrapped a baby formula can then cut 2 half inch straps of the gold glitter vinyl and wrapped 1 at the top and 1 at the bottom then put dt flowers in it.

Not having a cricket I just never even thought about looking at the vinyl at Dollar Tree. But watching your video today has made my brain explode with ideas. The closest Dollar Tree for me is about 2 hours of driving away so the next time I get near a Dollar Tree I'm going to look at the vinyl. I'm wondering if I can use some of my metal dies I use in card making to cut out words and shapes. I'm thinking it should work so I can't wait to give it a try. I love the vinyl. I use my light grip mat. I have never had a problem even with the most intricate designs. I would up buying a case of the black vinyl.

I used the dark blue with the flower pattern and covered one of the bunnies from Dollar Tree. I sanded off the edges and also used some white chalk paint to distress the vinyl and put a cute flower made of burlap on its neck. It turned out so so cute!
That sounds wonderful! I picked both the wood bunny and the same vinyl but still haven't done anything with them.

Now i dont have to. My favorite was the rainbow heart on glass simple but so pretty.
Don’t know if anyone has suggested but you can reverse print the words that way you can cut direct without trying to use the reverse of the printer paper.

I used the marble contact paper to cover a coffee can to put my colored pencils in. Also used it to make container for utensils!
I’ve also covered some of the DT galvanized buckets with jute twine tops with the Buffalo check or the blue floral and they look great! Good storage for rulers, scissors etc.

I love your videos. I used the clear dollar tree shelf liner to add privacy to my homes windows. It also makes them easy to clean when my kids color on them when they're looking outside.

My Dollar Tree’s never have had that much vinyl. I’ve only ever seen 2-4 colors only. Who knew it came in all those beautiful colors & prints. Great ideas.
It depends on your area. Higher end neighborhoods get better Dollar Trees

I have tried out the Dollar Tree vinyl a few times. It works pretty well for large images, but not so well for small intricate weeding images. The transfer tape works well though.

I just saved myself so much time. I bought a bunch of after-sale Christmas metal cutouts and thought I would paint them for next holiday. after hearing you say no paint will adhere I'm not going in that direction thank you

Loved all your crafts. I found if you use the dollar tree vinyl on the washi setting with the cricut machine it cuts pretty well. The glitter paper doesn’t work very well. Thanks for sharing you amazing talent.❤️

Hiiii...great ideas for using the vinyls other than in the cricut machine! Thank you for sharing your ideas
I use it to make my single sided scrapbook papers double sided for card making. I also use them as outer jacket covering for folios and journals that I make. The glitter ones are thinner but the pink/rose gold is my favorite to use for card making and other paper crafting projects. I am told that setting the material on the Cricut as washi paper and setting the pressure to low works well with this vinyl. I have a Joy and it does not offer that setting for me. The ideas are endless!

I do use the DT vinyl in my machine for smaller or simple items, I think it works fine for what I use it for - and I find it sticks pretty well most of the time

I've used a spray paint that gives a frosted look on clear containers and then put cut outs made of DT vinyl on them. I've used my Silhouette Cameo for the cut outs and haven't had any problems.
Yessss Katelyn, these are so cute!! And such great ideas!! For me the best thing that works for me to paint the galvanized items is to use the glass paint and put a top coat of matte sealer or matte mod podge or I’ll put a layer of sealer or mod podge and then use chalk paint

I have a couple of boxes of this vinyl and now I have some ideas on how to use it! My favorite piece is the large black tray lined with the B&W buffalo check vinyl. I also like how you covered the metal truck with vinyl. You can certainly do that with other metal pieces as well.

As someone who has a Cricut and have used the DT vinyl on the cutting machine I personally have had a positive experience but it is a learning curve
1. Cut it on a blue mat...it won't stick to it
2. Some users use the Washi setting but I personally have used printable vinyl on low pressure and it's been fine!
I've made simple labels and gifts to friend with it. Wouldn't use it to sell.
