The invasion is actually happening already. Night Corp is essentially AIs puppeteering people, testing how far they can go, if they can be detected, how primitive can be before it can no longer be used as a backdoor into cooptin the individual, etc... Essentially they turn whoever they invade into completely unwitting Dolls, like the folks at Clouds. There's also other little quests here and there that pull the curtain on some sinister shit creeping in. Like the massive quest that results in you getting the Demiurge. A big part of the last part of that quest is 1-2 NPCs noticing they're being watched, and being able to observe their observer... observing them and Night City as a whole.
@@I_Willenbrock_I It's an even worse idea to give her over to the NUSA which is actively opening the flood gates for personal gain. That's the point, there are no easy, 100% good choices.
or... have you considered something even more darker and sinister perhaps there is already rogue AIs in nightcorp pulling the strings of corporations wanting to rule the world and keeping the AIs of the blackwall at bay? whats worse lovecraftian AIs consuming all of humanity or a unfeeling uncaring rogue AI that governs your very thoughts right down your cells? A rogue AI pulling strings in the here and now as opposed to whats beyond the blackwall is far more terrifying. It might be inevitable like alt believes but perhaps said rogue AI is also limiting technology on purpose to prevent it and control the populace whats worse?
Cyberpunk being based on technomancer, where AIs were scared due to them meeting an alien AI from alpha centaury i wonder if what alt is talking about are just the normal AI trapped in internet, or if the conspiracy guy was right and we are getting invaded. Thanks for the video
The conspiracy guy was right. But he wasn't talking about the Black Wall, Alt or any of those Rogue AIs. He is talking about Night Corp. If you haven't it's worth looking into. Theres a huge conspiracy underlying almost the entire story of 2077 and only shows it's head at a very few specific points. The ones that come to mind being Dorsett, Paralez, Songbirds generous donor and The Sun Ending.
I didn't get the impression night corp was AI's, but just using AI's to manipulate people. That's the information in Dorsett's databank, using an AI to subconsciously manipulate someone. The Peralez's are experiencing the same thing, but also directly fucking with their brain.
Imagine an ai like cynosure mixed with the bartmoss copies and soulkiller, once the floodgates open catch them before they fully adapt, fry and store their engrams for study or for when they are needed and delete the rest, avoid the problem and fully purge the net for good
some people has the theory of mr blue eyes is an ai from the black wall , this game has so much lore and let a lot of space to people to start theories about this world
